It's time to set up the RP! Note: Due to a complete deadlock tie for one of the polls of the year the RP will set in, from 50's-60's, 1970, and 2030-2045. So the only way I can solve this is to the RP takes place in the median of the choices. So in between 1950 to 2045, the RP will be set in the median of 1998, but will have 60's and 70's like technology. Now, on with the story!
Story:
Born around the start of the 20th century was Hansgeorg Scheuermann, a determined architect and owners of many businesses in Germany during the 30's and 40's. After the 20's, Hansgeorg was making a name for himself supporting the Nazi Party that appeared in 1933, often donating money from his businesses, where he admired Adolf Hitler, feeling that nationalism was the only way to help fix Germany after the Treaty of Versailles. Around the early 40's when World War 2 has started, Hansgeorg became a scientist who assisted with Nazi human experimentation, but Hansgeorg had a much, bigger goal that he wanted to do involving the Fuhrer.
In 1942, Hansgeorg had a private meeting with Hitler in which he wants to build a city, but not like any other. He wants to build a city to help become a large symbol for the Nazi Party, deep underground near the center of the earth, which he was inspired by the works of Junes Verde that he has read as a child. Adolf Hitler agreed to this project, nicknamed "Hansbach" and construction for the city began. Due to the Nazi's occupying Europe, Hansgeorg was given government help from the Nazi Party for construction, in which Hansgeorg discovered a deserted island miles from Europe and near Iceland at the Atlantic Ocean. There, with the help of soldiers, they began constructing on a series of tunnels, that led to a large, hollow, open space underground. And so, the construction truly began, allowing German citizens who didn't want to participate in the war, but still supported the Nazi Party were the first citizens to be in the city of Hansbach.
However, in 1945, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in which Germany lost the war fighting the Allied forces. Hansgeorg hearing the news changed the purpose of Hansbach from being a symbol for the Nazi Party to become an utopia to continue the lifespan of the Nazi Party, in honor for the Fuhrer. After WW2, those who felt that the Axis forces should have won were given the chance to become citizens of Hansbach. In 1950, the city was completed and was populated by mainly Nazi followers and those who were nationalists of Germany.
During the Cold War, Hansgeorg gotten possession with nuclear materials that can be used to make weapons strong as the ones that the US used against Japan. This attracted the attention of the United Nations who didn't want the Cold War to turn into another World War who demanded that Hansbach have the materials into the hands of United Nations, but Hansgeorg declined. This resulted in the island where the enterance of Hansgeorg was removed from all of the world's maps and the existence of those who became citizens in Hansbach simply were forgotten. Despite this, the underground city of Hansbach managed to thrive without issue, even though the city follows strict ideologies of Nazism and Pan-Germanism with Hansgeorg himself believing that Germany had became nothing more than a fellow shell of itself.
Problems didn't arrive until 1975 when rebels who followed anarchy attempt to overthrow the government of Hansbach, due to being unable to return to the surface and trapped in Hansbach, which resulted in a civil war that killed most of the population of Hansbach. Now, Hansbach is in complete ruins from what has happened. Both citizens and rebels are mostly crazed maniacs and the Hansbach forces simply attack anyone who gets in their way.
1998. You can either play as a passenger on the S.S Krassin which is sailing to Iceland from Italy accomplished by a documentary crew from a television show named "Accuracy from Lore" in which the ship is capized and shipwrecked near the island where the entrance to Hansbach is. Or you can play as a survivor still in Hansbach, trying to find a way out before something bad completely affects the whole city.
Rules:
- This is a Bioshock-themed RP, but this isn't set in the same universe where both Rapture or Columbia existed. Instead, the RP will be set in an universe where the underground city of Hansbach exists, but not Rapture or Columbia.
The Plasmids and Vigors will come in a form of a device known as a "Striker". The Striker is a weapon that is attached to the human hand, similar to a glove which can makes any type of extraordinary power appear on the Striker. To change the powers for the Strikers requires special disks, similar to early 70's floppy disks. When the Striker is first discovered, one for the passengers from the ship and one for the survivors of Hansbach lying out in the , it will already be equipped with the insect summon power that will allow the user to create hives of lethal insects on the Striker and throw them at enemies. As your characters advance further into the city, more and more chips will be discovered for the Striker.
If your character is going to have a weapon in their inventory at the start of the RP, there can only be one weapon. For the survivors, you cannot have Striker chips in your inventory at the start, otherwise your application will not be accepted.
For Krassin passengers, the RP will immediately start after the ship is shipwrecked, meaning that the RP will start for passengers on the island where the entrance to Hansbach is. For survivors, the RP will start in a safezone that will be overrun by murderous rebels in a museum near the welcome center to Hansbach that shows the history of the Nazi Party and Hansbach, in general.
Attire for RP characters who are the passengers of Krassin must wear attire that is 90's themed, being that the RP takes place in 1998 and the survivors must wear attire from the 50's through 70's.
Note: Enemies in the RP must be fought with a dice roller system. Any online dice system works.
Rolled a 1: A miss that results in damage to your character.
Rolled a 2: A complete miss.
Rolled a 3: A hit, but with weak damage.
Rolled a 4: A hit that will result in severe damage that will mostly scare away the enemy that you're fighting.
Rolled a 5: Insta-kill
Rolled a 6: Able to kill 3 enemies, the first enemies in the RP will only kill one person at a time, but later enemies will have this option.
The Big Daddies or Heavy Hitters in this RP are these humanoid robots with mole-like abilities called "Diggers" in which their main weapons are either a machine gun arm or a massive, thin wolverine-like blade to impale anyone who gets in their way.
The city of Hansbach is 60's and 70's themed, but with Nazi-like architecture and art. Here is an example of the city, also:
