Not Piedmont: Emilia-Romagna maybe, but not Piedmont

Why not?

Austria already has Genoa after completely crushing Savoy in the Second Italian War of Independence. Piedmont would already be cut off from Italy.

I don't know, Austria has already added quite a bit with Switzerland and the rest of northern Italy. It's your decision of course.

Yeah, I'll probably leave it open and perhaps try to expand ICly. The issue I was thinking about is that an Italian player would have its nation cut in two.

Trotza, is Kolchak still alive ICly, or do you want him to die during the 1905 Revolution?

WHAT?! Ok, let me get this straight: assuming Italian history is almost the same as IRL, then NONONONO! Piedmont and Genova are MUCH MORE french-like. It would mean... a HUGE pain in the ASS for the Austrians...

Says the guy controlling Greece.

And no, Italian history isn't almost the same as IRL, their attempts to become independent were crushed disastrously twice.

I'm not going to take Piedmont, I already decided that.

But considering the differences between real life Austria and my Austria, I don't expect such a high Italian resistance anyway.

He ded. No one of real import is going to make it all the way to Alyaski, only minor nobles and maybe a few white soldiers.

Ah, but what about the French? That could get interesting if they decided to intervene.

I know, and I said almost the same because of that. But assuming that before that, Italian history is basically the same as IRL, then no.

Also, yesss, I control Hellas, but in this timeline they are 70% Slavicized, as the Serbian Empire never lost control over Hellas...

Even so, it wouldn't have been difficult for the HRE to assume control there.

The Ottomans controlled the Greeks for quite some time in real life too, and yet the Greeks remained as an ethnic group.

So you would still have some ethnic tensions.

They could intervene, certainly. It remains to be seen what will happen in the IC.

They controlled them for less, and never enforced ethnic-cleansing/assimilation like they did in Bosnia...

I love Hellas IRL, but for RP purposes, my country in this RP has ethnically cleansed quite a lot of them... replacing them and force them to slavicize. Only Peloponnesus can be considered as Hellenic 100%, in this RP...

We are still talking about the Balkans. No matter how much ethnic cleansing you do, there will always be some ethnic tensions.
