Nearly done.

Postby Shadowwell » Fri Nov 25, 2016 11:12 pm

Application:
Name: Neil Navaar(birth name: Neal Tirs)
Age: 27
Gender:Male
Species: Mandalorian (Former)
Appearance :
Image

Homeworld: Mandalore
Force Sensitive: Yes
Occupation: Closest equivalent would be independant Contractor for the Hutts.
Rank: Would probably be equivalent to a Knight, or almost.
Affiliation: Has associations and connections with the Hutts but is mostly independant i guess.
Background:
He was born in the Mandalore sector, in the Outer Rim. His father, who was a Hutt connected Mercenary died shortly after he was born. His younger years were up to a point just like those of most Mandalorian children, learning about and adhering to the Resol' nare, his life continued like this until the year he turned 5. At that time one of his father’s old enemies tracked them down when they were away from Mandalore, and the Outer Rim. His mother sacrificed herself, sending him down to a nearby uninhabited world as she fought the assailant off. He was down on the planet for a short while, relying on his rather fleeting training and instincts, unknown to him he was force sensitive, one of the things that allowed him to survive as long as he did. Around the time he actually turned 5, a party from the Jedi Order came to the planet and he ended up being taken to the training facility on Ossus after it was discovered he had a rather strong connection to the Force.

There he was trained for many years, he showed some talent as a Jedi, but his inherent aggressiveness made some of the others leery about training him. Eventually after training for years, he became a Padawan, a skilled one, but still a Padawan. It was expected that he would become a Knight soon enough, perhaps one of the younger ones, the Order has seen. Something happened however, a short time before he was to undertake the first of the Trials, on a Training outing. They were ambushed by an extremely well organized group of imperial remnants, everyone got away and the assault was brief, but that was because they had one target, him. Somehow they had found out about him and they figured if they could turn him to the Dark Side, he would make a good weapon for the future. Things happened afterwards, they tried to break him, to make him fall to the dark side, and he nearly did, but the Order was able to mount a rescue mission.

During the confusion caused by the unexpected attack he broke free from his containment area. As he started to make his escape he retrieved his gear that he was captured with, in a secret chamber with the room he found an item that called to him. He didn’t know yet, but it was a Darksaber, they were rare single-edged lightsabers from the era of the old republic, the only known one had been taken during the Fall of the Jedi Order, It had been taken by Mandolorians a long time ago. He hid it on his person, as he made his way out, soon enough the rescue squad found him and he was taken back. He was changed from what happened to him, but he gained some enlightenment from the experience. He realized that the Force, was neither light nor Dark, inherently, it became that way through the manipulation of the Jedi and later the Sith. The Order kept a close watch on him afterwards; they didn’t want history to repeat itself not with him.

This lasted for a while, until he just suddenly vanished one day, he had used the ability Force Stealth to conceal himself as he left. For a while he traveled around, not staying in one place, along he obtained what would turn into his current ship. He did odd jobs here and there becoming a bounty hunter of sorts. Eventually some of the enemies he had made caught up to him, and he got ambushed on the border of Hutt space. Luckily he was able to destroy a few of his pursuers and shook off others. His ship was heavily damaged and he fled, in their haste to kill him they rushed past the border after him, into Hutt space, that would be their final mistake. A Hutt Patrol came around and destroyed most of his pursuers, they turned out to be pirates that had been harassing Hutt couriers for a while, but they were unable to catch them. After this he came into a sort of agreement with the Hutts, to sort of continue the work his father had done for them, so long ago. They revamped and repaired his ship. It was done as an incentive for him, as well as gratitude, as they had finally been able to deal with among the only non-aligned fools that dared to turn on and mess with the Hutts.

It has been several years since he came into the Employ of the Hutts. He currently resides on Nal Hutta, in a reclusive home located within one of the many smaller swamplands’ that dot the Hutt Homeworld. When not taking jobs for the Hutts he stays in his home and meditates on the force, and how to control and use his current connection to it. Although he lacks and effective teacher he has still been able to learn some force abilities regardless. He has gained a bit of a name for himself with all the jobs he has done for the Hutts, and how he does them. He only gets his target or targets and the place he enters is in the same state as when he arrives when he left. This very discrete way of doing things, leads the Hutts to only use him when they need things done but not to send a major message.

Ship: His ship is essentially a Modified ARC-170, but is actually so much more:
  • Neural Interface
  • Astromech port
  • 2 forward facing Heavy cannons
  • 4 forward facing Medium cannons
  • 2 Underwing mounted Torp launchers
  • Improved reactor
  • Modified Engines
  • Hyperdrive
Equipment: a Dark Saber, a White Lightsaber, 2 blaster pistols, 1 Heavy blaster pistol and assorted thermal detonators and the like. He also has a set of Armor that is newly made, and is fashioned after old jedi armor and Mandalorian armor, it is shades of green adn Gray. (Something akin to in the pic, but not quite)
Skills: He is relatively proficient in a variety of fighting styles that utilize Lightsaber and force abilities. Will list force abilities in a bit.
Weakness: He lacks experience against high level force users, he gets over attached to both people and things. When in space combat he cant fully utilize his ships weaponry due to the Neural stimuli from his interface. He only has real experience using a few force abilities, so he lacks versatility in that area that many force users don't.

The inherent nature of them will fit with how i imagine the character to be, or to have been. Although Mandalorians themselves have no love for jedi for the most part, he will have been away from Mandalorian territory when he was discovered and taken in and whatnot.

Theyra, Would their if my character in teh past, had been captured by the Imperial remnants or whatever during a training excersie, then they ahd attempted to turn him to the dark side, but he was rescued before that happened, adn that wil have changed him, then afterwards he left the Jedi order, or something along those lines.

Yeah, but...pls. Please everyone not be Mandalorian.

They are badasses, but you can be badass without being a Mandalorian. You can be like them, but you do not have to be them.

It would probably be for the best. When Star Wars threads have too many Mandos it kinda descends into madness. Like my last Star Wars thread, six Mando characters started a shootout on a Imperial controlled planet that escalated until I had my ship come in with a turbo laser and fire on an escaping party. The fight literally killed the RP by shooting a hole in the biodome.

will try to see if i can find something else to work.

Ha! Sounds hilariously bad.

It was.

The fight's highlight (or lowlight depending on what you personally think) was when my ship (the same one I apped with) fired it's H9 at the other ship and successfully hit, a frigate grade laser, that gave said class equal footing with star destroyers, was stopped by the shield of a shuttle.

RIP common sense.

Considering that the last actual and true mandalorian race died off during the Mandalorian wars, i am not entirely incorrect, that is their culture and what they adhere to yes, but the first Mandalorian race does not exist anymore.

I know, the mini rant was meant jokingly.

Just think about it Anowa, if my character is allowed, we will pretty much double the amount of recorded Force Sensitive Mandalorians, lol.

Species: Mon Calamari

Homeworld: Mon Cala
Force Sensitive: No
Occupation: Captain, Pirate, Smuggler, Engineer on the side
Rank: Captain.
Affiliation: Independent/Hutt Aligned
Background:
Jholbre Grayihdib was born on the aquatic homeworld of the Mon Calamari, in a region known for its ship production. He was brought up to be an engineer like his father, and showed an early aptitude to the work. By age 13, he was working on ships with his father, and by 16, he was employed as an apprentice to one of Mon Cala's largest ship building manufacturers. He rose through the ranks quickly, and was soon promoted to COO of the organisation.

Mon Cala was visited by a Hutt named Drubah, a big deal at any period. Given the newfound popularity of Mon Calamari ships, the Hutt visited the manufacturers where Jholbre worked. The COO gave him a tour of the manufactory. However, it was only after Jholbre gained Drubah the Hutt's confidence that he admitted his true reason for visiting. That being that he wanted a Mon Calamari ship to serve his needs. He asked that the ship be kept on the hush hush. Jholbre, while having some misgivings about the secrecy of the project, agreed to build it for Drubah.

Drubah the Hutt continued to visit the shipyard during the building of the ship, growing a close relationship with Jholbre. Finally, it was completed. Drubah was to leave the next day, and decided to throw a secret party with some of the workers and Jholbre. During this party, he revealed that he needed a captain to lead the ship, as it was to make an addition to Drubah's personal navy. Jholbre realised that Drubah was offering the position to him, alongside a large commission for keeping the secrecy.

However, unbeknownst to Drubah or Jholbre, the CEO of the company Jholbre worked for had been researching the project for a while, and had found out a lot about it. He arrived with the company's personal security force, and shot at Drubah. Jholbre and the dockworkers boarded the ship to escape, and many managed to leave the planet alive. However, Drubah was mortally injured, and died soon afterwards. Jholbre set a course for Nal Hutta, and delivered Drubah's body to the Hutts. The Hutts, in return, allowed Jholbre to work the ship with the Hutts' guarantee of protection, but asked that if the Hutts needed it, that Jholbre would join their cause. Jholbre agreed.

Since most of the dockworkers were now disgraced on Mon Cala, they set off with no real idea of where to go. So, they became pirates, raiding non-Hutt supply lines and ships for cargo and selling it off at fences around the Hutt space.

Whoops. Sorry. I read the rules of another Star Wars RP, and misremembered the rules. If you want, I can downgrade.

That is okay, your bio was good enough to justify it.
