IC LINK RIGHT HERE

The world is no longer how it used to be after the cordyceps outbreak, a deadly fungal infection. After Joel stopped the Fireflies from sacrificing Ellie in the name of humanity, the pair escape to a settlement. But things have drastically changed now. The cordyceps infection has spread as humanity worries about fighting each other rather than the infection. Now hardly any city is left, those that are, are on the brink of destruction after the complete collapse of the national governments, now humanity is truly on it's own. Now it seems only a matter of time before the world becomes a victim to the cordyceps fungus.

It's been 30 years since Ellie and Joel made their harrowing journey to Salt Lake City (Which was 21 years after the infection started, making it the year 2064, 51 years after the infection started). Nearly every city, gone, mutant hot spot except the occasional bandit clan and struggling colony. But now it's your turn, will you be successful and restore humanity, or turn into a mutant like the other 90% of the population? It's your fight now, choose which city and choose wisely. Become the founder of a colony, or just some raider in Salt Lake City, or join a paramilitary group bent on power and greed or make one of your own. Choose to bring back technology or destroy the world further.

The Infected:
Cordyceps

Even after an infected individual has died, the fungus will continue to grow. By this point, the corpse becomes skeletal and brittle, and the fungus sticks the body to whatever surface it is on. The fungus will begin to emit spores from the body which will infect anyone that breathes them. To combat this, most survivors carry gas masks.

Runners are the first and weakest stage of the Infected who have recently entered their transformation. Since the eyes are first targeted by the fungus, runners have poor eyesight, but maintain many human instincts. For example, their moans are still human, just like their overall appearance. A way to tell them apart from normal survivors is their glowing red eyes. Their body language is sluggish while they are passive, suggesting they are resisting the fungus's influence. Sometimes they do not attack at all, even when non-infected individuals are right in front of them. These non-aggressive runners will only attack if attacked first or when an object is thrown at or near them, thus losing control. Much like sneezing, the urge to attack after such interactions happens involuntarily and unwillingly by the host. Runners are confirmed to be able to attack in packs flailing their arms trying to trample the survivor

Stalkers are the second stage of the Infected. They have the vision and speed of Runners and a slightly weaker enhanced echolocation of Clickers. The most notable physical traits that define the "Stalkers" is the distinct croaking noises they make, the beginning of fungal growths on the head and face, the development of pseudo echolocation, and their discretion upon spotting a victim at distance - they will strafe and take cover, eventually closing in on the victim, hence the name "Stalker". Up-close, Stalkers are very aggressive and will charge immediately at the victim without hesitation. Stage 2 may take place anywhere between a few days after the start of the infection (Stage 1) and up to a year (Stage 3)

Their strength is equal to a fit human being as their attacks can interrupt actions made by the player.

Clickers are the third and most distinctly recognized stage of the Infected. They have had prolonged exposure to the fungus, and now possess strength that significantly surpasses the average human. This makes them deadlier, but at the price of being completely blind due to fungal infection overtaking their face. However, Clickers are able to maneuver through areas by utilizing echolocation, which produces noticeable clicking noises to locate sources of sound.

Clickers appear less human than Runners, with faces that are skewed and scarred by fungus developed from their infected brains. Clickers are dangerous and much more aggressive than Runners, and no longer resist the fungus because their humanity has been eliminated.

When provoked, a Clicker will immediately enter into a "berserk mode," aggressively flailing its arms. At this point, if a survivor has been "spotted" by a Clicker, the Clicker will attack head on and will not flinch when shot unless using high powered rounds.

Bloaters are the fourth, final, and most dangerous stage of the Infected and are immensely strong. Bloaters take the longest to develop, making them the rarest of the infected. They are covered in thick fungus that effectively doubles as armor plate. Due to this protective covering, they can withstand multiple hits from weapons such as the Shotgun and Hunting Rifle, and even hatchets and machetes making them extremely tough to eliminate. Bloaters are extremely aggressive, but are rather slow-moving causing them to be more predictable than other infected. Like Clickers, Bloaters 'see' using echolocation to locate and trap a survivor as the fungus has completely deformed their face and blinded them, though their echolocation is a lot less refined than the Clickers. If a Bloater grabs a survivor, it will forcefully rip their jaw apart through brute strength, or grab the player's head and smash it, killing them instantly. There is no way to defend yourself if grabbed - the result is an instant kill. Bloaters will throw sacks of Mycotoxin, a toxin produced by many fungi in the real world. The sack will explode on impact, spraying the target with the toxin. The Mycotoxin will hurt the player over time, so it is recommended to avoid these deadly clouds.

Bloaters, like all Infected, have a weakness to fire. When set ablaze a Bloater will wildly thrash around trying to put out the flames. After being immolated, they will be charred black and smoking. Their armor will also be charred and brittle, making them vulnerable to low-powered weapons. Despite this weakness, fire-based weapons such as Flamethrowers or Molotov cocktails still require multiple uses before killing a bloater. Their other less effective weakness if fire is inaccessible is armor piercing rounds from an upgraded weapon like the hunting rifle. It will take fewer shots to kill if the weapon has the Power and Armor-piercing upgrade.

The Co-Ops:
Kylantha
Terintania (Small one)

The Rules:
1. No godmodding
2. No spamming.
3. No flaming or arguing. Friendly disagreements and debating stuff for the RP is fine, but no need to bring it into a full on argument
4. I control the mutants, resource availability, and nature. (I'll actually be easy on this rule, and won't seriously enforce it, but I would still like some control over how these go about)
5. Be realistic, (Example: Don't say you killed 13 mutants with a rusty screwdriver. If you had a AK-47, still unlikely)
6. No uber tech levels, most of the tech is gone, so colonies start from basic stuff, maybe a few assault rifles depending on your start location.
7. No one liners, at least one paragraph minimum.
8. Resources will be scarce

Probably going to make a world building thing for where he is from, a trading settlement on either the coasts of Veracruz or British Columbia

I'm not done with this yet. I'll put all my applications here for convenience.

Character Application
Basic Info
Name: Aden Hale Colliver
Age: 14
Appearance:
Aden is a very docile looking boy with deep green eyes, hazel brown hair, and slightly tanned skin. He's pretty short, standing at around 4'11" and is very slim, but not skinny. He has a few scars, one on the left side of his forehead, another across the side of his neck, both results of extensive abuse from his half brother, Robert Wakeford.
Aden
(I've always used this character as an image reference for Aden. I just can't find someone in real life who could make for a good Aden. This guy's got all the right expressions and the right appearance, too! Anyway.. The few busts at the top are Aden's expressions, I guess. The ones at the bottom are his different outfits. The second one shown is Aden's current attire, while the others are just references of what he'll be wearing in the future.)

Personal Items:
Aden's a pretty fussy guy. He has a tendency to bring things that are more interesting than useful, so his bag is heavy all the time, though he doesn't seem to mind. But it's the main reason he's so short. He carries a big backpack which used to be white, but is now clouded with dirty grey and black blotches. At the bottom is a thin blue blanket that's torn on a few sides. Two pairs of clothing from his old home. He's also got two pairs of boxer briefs. The other contents of his backpack are assorted, with things such as a CB Radio, an old walkie-talkie, several rolls of duct and vinyl electrical tape, and a pair of binoculars. Lately, he's had two magazines of rounds for his rifle in there as well. And stowed outside his bag are a lifesaver water bottle, a coil of synthetic rope, and a crummy looking tote bag advertising office supplies filled with the food that he and Woodrow found at the shack near Marsing, Idaho.

Weapons:
Aden isn't predisposed to violence. He's scared of it, in fact, but he has no choice. Woodrow has been teaching him to hold and fire a rifle properly, which he has fortunately been able to cope with. Aden now owns a Polish Kbsp wz. 1938M which he's named Rory. When on the road with their car, Sydnie, Aden operates a mounted HK21 machinegun.

Location:
Outside of the Colorado Air Force Academy.

Bio:
Aden used to live in a peaceful and well-protected QZ somewhere in Idaho. That QZ is now abandoned as its denizens have chosen to move to an island. Aden's family is also long gone, with both his parents having been killed by his half brother, Robert Wakeford. Aden was raised to be comfortable within the QZ, and his abrupt switch to a world outside said QZ has left him vulnerable, unless he's without other people who are willing to help and care for him. Near Marsing, Idaho, Aden met Steven, Cody, Dillon, Travis, and Sofia. In the city of Marsing itself, they encounter Woodrow. They team up, but upon leaving the city are chased down by a different type of mutant. Woodrow and Aden are separated from the others from here.

Aden and Woodrow leave the city, find a vehicle and some supplies along the way. On their way to Colorado however, they find from Sofia that Steven has killed his two brothers, his best friend, and himself in his frustration. Aden and Woodrow choose to continue their journey however until they find Electra's group, with whom they merge. They later come upon a group of people who identify as the Freedom Racers.

Following this, the newly formed group proceeds to the Colorado A.F.A. with the help of the Freedom Racers, where they are temporarily imprisoned by the occupants until the Mob, another group, rescues them and all the other prisoners...

Extra Info (Not Required)
Voice: Yuuta Togashi
Blood Type: A-
Height, Weight, and Body Type: Aden is lithe, weighing 120 lbs., and standing to a height of 4'11".
Personality:
Amiable, intelligent, and very acquiescent. Making enemies is definitely not one of Aden's strongpoints. In fact, he avoids this so much that sometimes he may even end up getting hurt. He dislikes violence, and is extremely frightened of death, darkness, and being left alone. Aden is prone to severe panic attacks and breakdowns. In addition to this, he's a crybaby and a wimp as well. Sometimes though, he becomes very quick and practical under a lot of pressure.
Skills:
Aden is smart. He knows a lot about plants, chemicals, car related things, and is also capable of creating a range of IEDs such as pipe bombs, nail bombs, and springtrap mines.
Strengths: Aden has a wide range of general knowledge.
Weaknesses: Physically, mentally, and emotionally unprepared. His past problems seem to plague him a lot.
Fears: Dying, the mutants, darkness, loneliness, blood, certain bugs, and losing the people he loves.

Character Application
Basic Info
Name: Woodrow R. Lynch
Age: 18
Appearance:
Woodrow wears a dark brown jacket over a black tank. His dark blue jeans are dirtied and ripped at some places from his long journey, and his shoes are a dirty white in color and slightly weathered. He's a big guy with fairly prominent musculature, reddish brown hair and hazel brown eyes. Woodrow's size may seem intimidating, but that vibe is easily betrayed by his friendly and likeable nature.

Personal Items:
Unlike Aden, Woodrow is a little more practical, having a raggedy brown backpack and a waist pouch to keep all the things he needs in. He currently has three flasks of whiskey of different brands. His 3ooml Flask of homemade laudanum (Strong analgesic made from poppy seed and alcohol) is kept in the side pocket of his backpack, along with two rolls of medical gauze. A crumpled and soggy bag of band-aids lies at the bottom of the pack, covered by three pairs of light clothing, a box of 9mm rounds, a water canteen and a plastic container half-full of oatmeal. Woodrow also has an improvised lock to the top of the backpack from which he can hang Lucy, his trusty crossbow.

Weapons:
Woodrow's primary weapon of choice is Lucy, a compact metal crossbow he made with his father. It's got a tank for compressed air which comes with a built-in hand pump. The arches of the crossbow can be folded along the sides of the weapon for easy storage and transport. Lucy can fire almost any type of bolt, and can even launch 9mm or .45 ACP rounds. For Lucy, Woodrow has two steel-tipped bolts and four aluminium-tipped bolts.

Location:
Outside the Colorado Air Force Academy.

Bio:
Woodrow was born Irish, but in the United States. He lost his mother and father at the age of fourteen, and has been wandering the country on his own since. At Marsing, Idaho though, he meets Steven and his group. They spend a few hours together before they are driven away by the resident mutants. Woodrow is separated from the rest of the group, left with Aden Colliver, whom he was referring to as 'Flowers' at the time.

The two survive with a bit of luck and opt to follow their original course towards Colorado. Woodrow has some trouble with Aden at first, adjusting to his childish and vulnerable demeanor, and after leaving Marsing with a Buick Riviera, decides to adopt the younger boy as his brother. Woodrow aims to protect Aden and his innocence for as long as possible while they continue their journey through life in this new and very dangerous world. On their way however, Woodrow and Aden find Travis and Dillon, Steven's brothers, lifeless. The two build a cairn for the deceased before moving on and finding Sofia.

The group continues, until they meet Electra's group and team up with them. There's some tension to begin with, but they get over after a little bit. Together they come upon the Freedom Racers who assist them in getting to the Colorado A.F.A, where Electra hopes to find her sister. They are taken in by the residents and held for a short time before the Mob, another nomadic group, breaches the Academy and crushes the local group. Woodrow along with his group are freed, and Electra is reunited with their sister. The two groups are not officially merged, and it is yet to be seen whether they will.

Extra Info (Not Required)
Voice: Well, Cody Christian with an Irish accent, I guess. *shrug*
Blood Type: AB+
Height, Weight, and Body Type: Woodrow weighs 210 lbs., stands at 6'2", and has an athletic body type.
Personality:
Generally a good and friendly person. Woodrow is comforting to be around, not only because of his size, but also because he's a softie. Unless angered of course. He doesn't hurt people unless they attempt to hurt him, and will help anyone regardless of their affiliation. Woodrow hates being alone, which is why he tries to make as many friends as possible. He loves whiskey, watching the sun rise and set, and fragrant flowers.

Skills:
Apart from being physically strong and resistant to pain, Woodrow is also an excellent sniper, medic, and craftsman. He can treat wounds, make improvised weapons, and build temporary shelters with ease. He's also one heck of a storyteller and diplomat.
Strengths: Woodrow is friendly and helpful. He loves making friends and has a pretty positive outlook on life, despite the difficulties he faces. His positivity is pretty contagious and makes life at least a few glimmers brighter.
Weaknesses: In spite of being outwardly tough, Woodrow has gone through a lot himself and doesn't share a whole lot, unless he really trusts someone. He can be pretty scary when enraged, and isn't used to helping others with their personal plights.
Fears: Missing the sunrise, loneliness, failing to protect his friends from danger.

Appearance:
Teague doesn't have a lot of facial expressions, often looking lethargic, pensive, sorrowful, or just plain bored. His smiles are always very small and never expose teeth. He has dark brown eyes, chocolate brown hair, and a fair skin complexion. Teague is a pretty plain looking guy, very into looking decent and currently wears glasses, a grey-ish plaid shirt, a cotton and leather coat, and a checkered scarf. He wears a pair of blue cotton pants, woollen gloves and snow boots with ridges in their soles for better grip on various types of terrain.

Personal Items:
A bit like Aden, Teague has a tendency to collect things. He is a bit more practical though, and throws away what he doesn't need. For his belongings, Teague carries around a medium-sized olive green knapsack. His things are all wrapped within a thin woven blanket. There are several different types of canned fruits and vegetables and six cans of corned tuna. Teague also stole a medical kit once, containing gauze, a set of six hypodermic needles, a bottle each of peroxide, betadine, and alcohol, band-aids, antibiotics, ointments, and aspirin. Atop all of that are two full sets of clothing apart from shoes.

Weapons:
Teague does not have any weapon apart from a Korean stilleto switchblade.

Location:
Outside the Colorado Air Force Academy.

Bio:
Teague was not raised in a walled safezone. He and his parents were part of a group of seventy that inhabited the mountainous areas of Western Colorado. They moved on foot or on horses, and were almost always superior in terms of armament and performance in comparison to Hunters. They had never been outnumbered though, which would later be their downfall. Teague was taught by his father how to hunt and forage for food when there was none at hand. He was educated on how to make traps, bombs, and simple yet lethal weapons. His mother on the other hand, passed onto him the skill of treating wounds and various common diseases, as well as putting together a decent meal with basic ingredients.

Back then, Teague could consider himself happy and satisfied. Everything was going well, and he thought that he would always be safe. But he would be proven wrong, two weeks after he turned 12.

On a path in the mountains, Teague's group is ambushed by Hunters. As the survivors march on, they are startled by an explosion behind them. The Hunters had rendered the group's only escape impassable, and commenced their attack. They came from the front and right sides, gunning down survivors with automatic weapons. And since they were caught off guard, many of the trained marksmen in Teague's group are shot down.

Thankfully, Teague's father was a quick thinker, and he made for the slope that the Hunters were coming from, knowing that to the left side of the path was a steep precipice. As his dad brings the horse up the slope, others follow. Looking back, Teague remembers the horrific scene of a mother leaping off the cliff with her daughter and son, sparing them from a possibly worse fate at the hands of the Hunters. Several others jump to their deaths as well as the fight drags on.

Teague was almost sure that they were safe until a group of Hunters in a technical appear from behind and spray the woodlands with 7.62 millimetre rounds. The Scott's horse is killed, and Teague's father is hit in the shoulder. After their fall, Teague's father directs them to head South. He remains and lures the Hunters away, but they aren't fooled. The Hunters split into groups and give chase. From here, Teague's father is never seen again. A few kilometers down the incline, Teague's mum stops. She tells Teague that she loves him and orders him to climb up a Pinyon pine tree. Although he's hesitant and cries, Teague does as he's told. His mother then runs away, taking the Hunters with her.

Frightened and in grief, Teague hides up in the tree for two hours. He eventually sobs himself to sleep, feeling exhausted from their crazed dash for life. He's later roused from his slumber by a voice, softly calling his name. Confused, Teague wakes up in a panic. The voice tells him to come down, and that everything is okay. Although tempted to say that it's not, Teague doesn't reply and opts to find whose voice it was that was calling to him. When he looks down, he sees his mother in a crouched position by the tree's trunk. She frantically beckons him down, glancing around the tree's thick body all the while. Teague unties himself from the tree and hurriedly scoots down.

Following a short but heartfelt reunion, Teague's mother whisks him away once again.

Mother and son do not stop moving through the woodlands until nightfall, when they decide to hole up under a suspended rock, covering the entrance with woodland detritus. The next morning they begin their search for food. Teague does not have any at this time, though he has his knapsack with him. Teague's mother isn't as skilled of a hunter, and Teague helps her. They manage to catch a hare, but nothing more. Eventually, they're forced to steal food. Teague's mum doesn't allow her son to go, and often makes the runs. She's successful the first few times, but is caught on her fourth run. The group she stole from killed her on the spot, despite her telling them that she needed to feed her young son.

This was when Teague lost all trust and hope in other people. Laying in that bush on his belly, he waited for his mother's assailants to get far enough before he came to her side and buried her. Teague was broken inside, and he sat there in the open even as a light drizzle began to fall. The boy just stared blankly at nothing in particular, tears steadily flowing down his cheeks. He was truly afraid, unsure of what he was going to do. He had no direction in mind, no plan.

That was, until a dog found him. It was a female, not very large, and was orange and white in color. The dog was thin, and very cautious around Teague. She apparently smelled what little meat that was left on him. Feeling himself now without worth, Teague threw the meat at the dog, which then surprised him by promptly trotting off instead of eating on the spot. Confused, Teague is drawn to follow. Before that though, he pays his mother his final respects and says good-bye for the last time. At first, the dog is wary of Teague. She would sprint periodically in an attempt to lose the boy, but eventually gives up on that and just lets Teague tag along after her.

Several times, Teague considers giving up following the dog, but just can't help but wonder where she was taking the cooked remains of the hare. His patience pays off when he discovers later that the dog is nursing puppies. There are six, but only four of them are alive. Teague is a little saddened though, since the dog does not seem to realize this until later. Teague spends the next few hours sitting on a rock near the makeshift den, watching the mother tend to the pups, which are already old enough to eat solid food. Their mother stays close by, eating only a small portion of the meat.

Here Teague begins his habit of speaking to animals. He addresses the dog mother, telling her about what had just happened to him and his family. The dog stares quizzically at Teague, bone jutting out from between her paws. Teague just smiles, somewhat convinced that she understood him, based on the sympathetic look in her eyes. He continues, soon referring to the dog as Maple. The more he talks, the closer the dog becomes to him, it seemed. After just thirty minutes, Maple was more comfortable around Teague; she no longer followed every single move he made and allowed him to come close to her little den. Even later, she sat next to him, asking for another morsel.

Teague obliges, not even thinking about his own well-being. He takes some bread from his bag; something his mum had stolen just a day before. Satisfied, Teague shared the bread with the dog, who although feral, managed to retain some domestic qualities. Perhaps she just recently had a master.. But whoever that was was gone now. Teague was decided that he would care for this dog and her puppies, not knowing he would lose her and three other pups as well.

Still a little lost as to what to do, Teague decides to lay down for a little while. Since Maple had dug her nest out near a tangle of bushes, Teague felt safe. He was confident that no one would find him where he was. As he closed his eyes, he feels warmer and again a little bit happier as Maple comes to lay next to him. Teague had never had a dog before, though he already had an idea of how to care for them since one man in his group had a bull mastiff for a pet.

Late into the evening, Teague is suddenly jolted awake by a distant *crack*. He carefully gets up to find that Maple has gone through his things and has fed his bread to the puppies. She is nowhere to be seen, so Teague thinks it fit to search for her. He follows her footsteps in the snow, all the way to a delve in the terrain where he discovers that Maple has been shot. Two men were standing there with one holding the dog by its rear legs, slinging it over his shoulder before they both walk away. This time, Teague could not contain himself. With all the emotions pent up inside and just about ready to flow out, he stalks the two hunters and in within fifteen minutes, kills them both with his switchblade.

He didn't even know how to fight. But he managed to end both their lives. The man carrying Maple was lagging behind a little, and he made a strange sound when Teague's knife plunged into the back of his neck. The other man was surprised by his companion's sudden collapse, and didn't see Teague early enough to raise his gun. The boy was upon him, shoving the gun aside by its barrel and burying his knife into the man's neck. That whole time, Teague kept a straight face and was totally blinded by his rage. Following his kills, he collapsed, unconscious for the rest of the night.

Come the next morning, he'd decided to bury the three and return to the puppies. He gets back to the glen where Maple's nest was, but sees that only one pup is left alive. It was the largest of the litter and was shivering from the cold. Dismayed but still determined to redeem himself, he picks the puppy up and cradles it protectively. At this time, the puppy is three months old, and Teague names him Roni. Before trudging off, he covers up the makeshift den, holding the pup under one arm and gathering substrate with the other.

To make this long story shorter, Teague and Roni grow together and form a very strong bond. The two often hunt in near perfect coordination and seem to share the same thoughts on certain occasions. Now matured, Teague and Roni wander on, eventually stumbling upon the A.F.A. where Teague and his dog are captured. They are thrown into a holding cell where he meets Liliana Baxter and Leonce Caradec. They escape later on and are now safe with the Mob. They will soon part ways though, and we've yet to see or hear of that particular part.

Height, Weight, and Body Type: Teague is a petite boy, standing at 4'8", and weighing 100 lbs. He's slim, not skinny.
Personality:
Although innately friendly, Teague does not easily accept other people and has a tendency to talk to animals as though they understand him and he them. He's quite smart and has grown to look at the world from a realistic perspective.
Skills:
Teague is excellent when it comes to managing supplies, hunting, and foraging for food. He's capable of making simple to advanced traps and is able to fire a gun. He can also put up a good fight, but doesn't usually throw the first punch.

He's become hardened by the harsh realities of this new world and only sometimes lets him emotions out. He can think quickly and work in perfect coordination with his dog, Roni.

If you push Teague far enough, he could snap. He hates people who hurt animals for absolutely no reason. He's not vegan though, and will readily consume animal meat.

Losing any more of his friends or loved ones. That's about it, considering that he's become used to the common dangers of the world after the Cordyceps outbreak.

Location: Colorado springs
Bio:Diego was born in a relatively safe spot 8 years after the start of the infection. It wasn't a large safe area, like one of the large cities. It was more of a small band of survivors who had found a place and fortified it to make it as safe as they could. So there was always a bit of a sense of danger, and a risk of being overrun, but he and his family were heavily protected, as the only family with a child. When he was 4, they were forced to find a new place to live when they were attacked by other people. They traveled for a year before finding a new place to stay, their numbers lessened. However, his parents then had another kid. A girl, and a little sister that 5 year old Diego helped care for. 5 years later, they were forced to leave again, and Diego learned to fight to better watch over his little 5 year old sister. As time went on, they kept traveling, and they all learned to survive out in the world. At the age of 15, his group was overrun by clickers, and his parents killed. He managed to escape with his sister, and they ran off in to the night. Time passed, and they survived together for 10 years, until one day, out of hungry desperation, they made a mistake. After not having been able to find food for a while, they decided to try and steal from a bandit camp in the night. But in their hunger, they got greedy, which ended in them getting caught. They managed to escape, but his sister was wounded, and her wound quickly became infected. He searched desperately for antibiotics to help her, but he found nothing, and was forced to watch his little sister die in pain. After he buried her, he fell in to a deep depression, but he carried on, as they had promised they would if anything happened to either of them. He turned to any alcohol he could find to drown out the pain and loneliness. As time went on, it got better, though more and more life become more about just surviving than anything else. So he learned to find entertainment wherever he could. He spent basically the rest of his life up to this point wandering, and on his own, other than the occasional time with a few friends before moving on again. But now, that may change.

-Experienced: After basically 40 years of living out in this world, he is rather experienced in surviving in it. This helps him know where there are more likely to be infected, and how to handle them.

Weaknesses:

World Building Application
Name of Group: SolFor (Solitude and Fortitude)
Leader(s): Colonel Tracey "Trace" Pittman
Location: Cheyenne Mountain Complex, Colorado Springs
Brief History:
Formed by a Major General of the USAF who is now deceased. Colonel Pittman took control, and although he wants to help survivors, he cannot be sure of who's really in need of help and follows directives and protocols instead of his own morals. The SolFor detachment are protecting the Cheyenne Mountain Complex twice as much as it was before the outbreak. They have gathered more than a hundred functioning aircraft, but only fourty of which are for the military role. With their supplies, experienced members, and numbers, they are able to maintain their little community with little effort. Currently, only family members of the essential personnel are housed within the Mountain and no one else.

Technology Level: Fairly high up. This detachment of the NORAD and the USAF have managed to successfully maintain numerous aircraft types which they use to assist smaller affiliates and gather more supplies. They are well defended, but are not currently open to being a refuge center, focusing more on restoring authority.

I am slowly transitioning everything to the new app format, so here is the first thing I got done, which is one of the groups, updated for current RP scenarios too. Though I think some of my characters bios themselves are outdated.

Group Application
Basic Info
Name: Dark Brotherhood
Noteworthy Members: The leader was Josh, before he got killed by Electra when she was let inside, causing a whole series of problems. Now the leader is the 2nd-in-command, Steven, who is deemed more insane than Josh ever was, and Josh wasn't exactly a good guy. They'd still rather him any day, because Steven is very unpredictable.
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, but currently relocating after being overwhelmed.
Ideology: Don't think they particularly have a specific one.
Bio: The group can be pretty much classified as a gang, or a group of bandits. They were a group of violent survivors who ended up banding together to make a group, and have been causing problems for years since. The group consists of pretty much all males, with a few females here and there. They've attacked small villages, larger colonies, and most recently, they took over the United States Air Force Academy, which wasn't exactly well guarded anymore but it had a large stockpile of weapons and it had a helicopter left that none of them had a clue how to fix up. All the other military vehicles appeared to be gone, likely sent out during the early stages of the infection to help eradicate the infection before it got too large. But they left a helicopter, and that was about it for military vehicles. The gang decided to make this their current resting place, having moved on from various different places over the year. So far, out of everywhere they had taken, this was the one that was the most impressive to them. Not with the difficulty of taking it over. It was practically abandoned besides a few other bandits lurking around who were easy to take out with their numbers. But with the weaponry, the helicopter, and so on made it the nicest place. Better then that village they had burned down 2 years ago, anyway.
Technology Level: Now that they've lost their military base, pretty much just assault rifles and some vehicles they escaped with. They do have military grade weaponry, though.

Extra Info (Not Required)
Vehicles: 2 military trucks that carry people and 1 humvee is all they managed to escape with, most of their stuff left about or bombed.
Weapons: A few military grade assault rifles and some gear, pretty much the same amount as the number of people.
Settlements: None anymore after the United States Air Force Academy had been attacked, and they were forced to flee.
Civilian Population: None anymore. They used to have some slaves.
Armed Population: About 20, which is about the extent of their good men left.

You know, even though it might be a bit of a spamming mess for us for a little while, moving the apps over, I'd say it is better to make one post per character, so someone doesn't have to dig through, say, 5 apps on one post to find the one linked. Though I plan on putting two at a time for my characters that are related, like Electra and Liliana, Alexandria and Robert, and Brighton and Kyla.

Ah, well.. Hm. I'll separate Sofia and Cayden.

The others... Later. I'm a tad frustrated with NS at the moment. xP It's deleted two of my apps already.

One of the world building applications. Posting them too because I'm deciding to link to them instead of posting them all together, because it becomes kind of a mess.

World Building Application
Name of Group: Little Lamplight
Leader(s): Josh Spiradakos and his twin sister, Aisha Spiradakos. They are both 12 years old. Josh's appearance is
Image
and Aisha's is
ImageImageImage
. Aisha has a retractable claw thingy as one of her weapons. Other then that, she has a hidden blade on her left arm for the possibility of more stealthy attacks, and throwing knives for long-ranged attacks. She also seems to be able to climb really well. Josh has a claw glove, a wrist-mounted crossbow with poisoned bolts and a thin sword. Aisha seems to be more of the communicator and talker while Josh is more of a fighter than his sister, but they both end up complimenting each other well as fellow leaders, especially being twins. While Josh is the bigger fighter of the group and his sister tends to be more likely to stay out of things if she can, they tend to work really well together as a team when they both do get into combat situations together, though.
Location: Near Colorado Springs, in the forests nearby, inside of treehouses interconnected to each other by bridges. Small treehouses, but treehouses nonetheless.
Brief History: Josh and Aisha have always been close to each other, and for most of their lives up until the age of 10, they lived in a group with their parents. But one day everything went horribly wrong as their little group became under attack. It was quite a mess. The group had been getting along with each other for quite a long time, but tensions started to rise among the group as they appeared to become more unorganized, food began to ran out, and so on, which evolved into a rebellion against the leadership. But the rebellion didn't seem to be very organized, and everyone pretty much just started killing each other one day in frustration or something, and Josh and Aisha's parents died during the conflict. They narrowly escaped death themselves, and they were stuck out there together for months and months. Josh had pretty much become the leader for Aisha at that point.

After months of it just being the two of them, it eventually evolved into what it was today. They started to get the idea that maybe they could help others, others being various different children who were lost in the world, alone and scared, and it slowly became something bigger than any of them expected it to. The group only consisted of children and young teens (Like 15 and below), who mostly used old school weaponry like swords, bows, and spears, and only if they absolutely needed to. It began to turn into a little treehouse paradise of children living in the woods near Colorado Springs, after lots and lots of work. At the moment, the group consists of about 20 people in total, led by the two twins who decided to lead the group together, instead of leaving it all up to Josh to lead like how it generally was when it was just the two of them.
Technology Level: Bow and arrows, swords, spears, booby traps, and various other simple weaponry. The leaders do have access to a few more serious weapons, though, like handguns and such, but tend to avoid using either.

I feel like this lot and Leonel Conley are going to get on well. x3

Group Application
Basic Info
Name: The Mongoose Pack
Noteworthy Members: Leonel Conley, Odette Lee Abernathy, and Timo Ekdahl.
Location: The Mongoose Pack is largley nomadic, but they are always around the Colorado Springs area, helping people out, but they only accept children into their group.
Ideology: "F you in the A, and have a nice day!" Jk. Leonel and Odette have built up a set of rules which orbit around teamwork, stealth, and strategy.
Bio:
After Leonel Conley leaves the Mob to "find his way", he encounters a young girl about his age whose name is Odette. She introduces herself as Odette Lee Abernathy however, and she claims that she was related to a former police chief who died in the initial outbreak. She is an avid reader and likes to write diaries. Leonel doesn't like either, but he does find her hobbies interesting. With a bit of convincing he takes her with him and learns a lot more than he knows from her, and she from him. As far as that goes however, the two don't actually have any sort of romantic connection. They consider each other partners and nothing more.

At some point Leonel and Odette find a fortified building which used to be a Sports Surplus, according to Odette's map. Leonel wants to explore the building, hoping to find something cool to use in combat, but he and his new friend find a whole lot more. Inside the surplus' main building is a conglomeration of different dirtbikes, ATVs, and mountain cycles. What's odd was that they were all in mint condition... As if someone was maintaining them. Leonel was sure that was the case. They confirmed this later when they found an old man on his own, eating old canned fruits. Leonel plans first before approaching. He and Odette gain the man's attention, then trip him using a fishing line they took from inside. Then, with the man's legs well bound, they drag him into an alley between two storage lockers.

After a short interrogation, Leonel and Odette find that the man is not actually a threat and they let him go. Although surprised by the two, he offers them what little food he has, but the kids don't accept it. They give him some of their own stuff instead, having more than enough to go by anyway. Leonel and Odette later leave the surplus, apologizing for taking the man down, but he brushes that off and tells them that if they need transport, they can come by and take his stuff.

With this, Leonel and Odette decide to take a pair of bikes. It's not practical to be riding them through ruined streets, but it's a cheap thrill, and both youths enjoy it to the fullest. With Odette's intellect and Leonel's tactical prowess, the two are able to avoid much conflict while messing around. One day though, they find a part of the city that's been sectioned off. A bus blocks up an entire street in a deliberate fashion, causing Leonel to suddenly drop his bike. The kids set their transport aside and begin their first true mission together. It was a good thing that Odette was physically capable herself, as she and Leonel move through dilapidated buildings to get a good view of what's beyond the blocked street. What they see is unbelievable.

Several delivery vans are parked in a line against an old shopping centre. Around the vans are multiple vehicles. Two of which are military trucks. And around those are numerous men, all armed with various weapons such as bows, rifles, shotguns, and even machine guns. Leonel spots a fire, and according to Odette, what was being cooked was not animal meat. This is later proven true when two of the armed men take a boy out of one of the delivery vans. He's at least fifteen years old. Leonel isn't sure what's going on yet, but he will be in a moment.

The men flip a bag over the boy's head before bringing him to his knees over an open sewer. They then slit his throat and leave him to convulse on the ground, bleeding out, before they drag him to an old FEDRA tent where a man in bloodied white clothing takes him. Leonel and Odette are so put off that they can't even say anything. Then at that moment, Leonel makes a decision. He would help whoever was in those vans and be rid of these people. A plan is hatched between the two, and Leonel disarms himself. Leaving Odette in the building to do her part, Leonel goes outside and in front of the bus. As he expected, someone was inside the bus and tells him to come closer. They open the doors with manual hydraulic jacks and bring him in. Leonel is surprised. They seem very nice, but then the moment he turns his back, someone knocks him out.

Leonel wakes up later in a dark room. It wasn't though, as Leonel recognizes the walls and the doors in front of him. He was in one of the delivery vans. This one had several young boys in one corner. They had blankets over themselves, for the container was refrigated, and from the ceiling hung the skinned remains of adults and presumably other children.. Leonel gagged a bit. He hoped that they wouldn't pick him out before he and Odette could enact their plans. He tells the other boys that he's around to help, and enlists the assistance of the oldest of the lot. It was an eleven year-old boy named Timothy.

Timothy explains to Leonel that the men are indeed cannibals. They take the oldest people first, because they have more meat on them, intending to let the children grow enough before they can be slaughtered and prepared. Timothy further says that the last teenager was just taken from them and likely killed. Leonel already knows this, but does not mention what he saw. Right now he was focused on the plan. Odette would have prepared the explosives by now, which Leonel had directed her to launch into the bus, at the tent, and at the largest collection of armed men in the camp. She had built a sling using door springs and a knee guard from the Sports Surplus.

Not everything goes according to plan however, and Leonel is forced to spend more time in the van than expected. He does not get cold though, or at least, he doesn't let it get to him. Hours later, one man opens the van. It was the one in white. Behind him are two men armed with submachine guns. Leonel does not flinch and follows orders as he's called out. The man who Leonel now mentally denoted as "The Butcher" took Leonel to the tent. Leonel was glad. If he was taken to the open manhole, he would have had to act more quickly. But here he was in silence with the Butcher, who checks him for blemishes and overall sees if he's fine to grow and slaughter later. The man seems pleased; Leonel is quite healthy.

He asks Leonel if he would be willing to join them, and he says yes.. Just for show. As expected, the Butcher is pleased and asks Leonel if he wants to taste human flesh. Leonel nods again, adding that he's hungry and has been eating berries for the past few weeks. The doctor is a bit suspicious, since Leonel is well-fed, but doesn't give that much attention. He brings Leonel to a table where the teenager from earlier lay lifeless. His face was covered and his torso had been... Well, cut up. Leonel tried hard to hold back from vomiting and succeeds. To the side he sees a whole tray with various sharp instruments.

The man continues dabbling off about how they survive while Leonel just continues to listen and observe. No one was outside the tent. He could easily end this evil bastard and use the solitude to give Odette the go signal. When the Butcher tells Leonel that everyone who doesn't want to eat the human meat is committed to being the food source, Leonel smiles and nods. He gives the man false thanks, gaining more trust. After a moment, the Butcher goes and takes out some fresh human liver. He hands it to Leonel, who gives it a sniff first. This was not what he expected out of this whole finding his way thing.. But he needed to keep the act going. Leonel grimaces, waving the organ away. He requests something with more meat. The man giggles maniacally and obliges, bending over to cut something up for the newest member.

Seeing his opportunity, Leonel adeptly grabs a scalpel and quickly jams it into the side of the Butcher's head, instantly shutting his brain down. Leonel has some trouble dragging the guy off, but manages to hide him in the back of the tent. He then cuts a hole in the side of the newly dubbed "Cutting Room" and sees Odette in the distance. She's obviously glad to see he's okay, and she nods as he gives her the signal and slinks off to prepare himself for phase 2.

The first bomb is launched, and fire erupts inside the bus which blocked the street and main entrance into the camp. Odette was pretty good at judging trajectory and got the bomb right into a busted glass window. Her second shot was also successful, hitting the tent and setting it afire. The two conflagrations caused a great stir among the camp's members, and they struggled to put the fires out instead of try to find the bomber like the two had expected.. The bastards were dumber than previously assumed. Then with a nail bomb, Odette clips off the heads of two frantic men, allowing Leonel some leeway. He dives for one of the SMGs and quickly assumes a kneeling position. He has retrieved his gas mask and has it over his face. The firebombs contained a gratuitous amount of petroleum jelly, throwing up a smoke cloud that was hard to breath in. With everyone in a panic, Leonel gunned down as many of the cannibals as they could.

Realizing that they were under attack by a child, some of the men tried to fight, but it seemed they weren't very good gunmen and were easily killed off by Leonel. Standing out in the open while firing from the hip is never really a good strategy, and with only a few skilled shooters to rid himself of, Leonel reaches the vans. Odette has now taken Leonel's MP7 and is providing covering fire as Leonel frees the other children from their frigid prisons. They flee the camp and run six blocks away before circling back around to the rendezvous point where Odette was to be expected. She was late by six minutes, but she arrived. When she did, Leonel ran up to her and gave her a high five, commending her skills while bragging about his own. The other children who were all much younger were confused but grateful. Leonel brought his new group back to the Sports Surplus as Maverick flew over the destroyed camp.

And following those moments were the beginnings the Mongoose Pack.

The name of the group comes from Leonel and Odette's encounter of an Indian mongoose in one suburban house. Mongooses are not allowed in the United States, but it is likely that this one is the result of previous illegal importations of the species. Indian Mongooses are tameable and are kept for vermin control, but they are highly destructive to unfamiliar ecosystems, being fierce predators. Either way, the Mongoose Pack has decided to keep them as mascots.

Technology Level:
Fairly high. The cannibals flee their camp in terror, and Leonel later returns with the oldest of his group to ransack the remains of the area. What's left are some high powered weapons, clean water, and sleeping bags.

Extra Info (Not Required)
Vehicles: Mountain bikes, dirtbikes, and ATVs.
Weapons: A plethora of improvised weapons such as superslings, petroleum flamethrowers, and even ballistas. They've also acquired automatic weapons of the military grade, which they use for hit-and-run attacks on confirmed bad guys.
Settlements:
Leonel has decided to return to the Scouts Lodge from which he acquired his uniform. The Mongoose Pack will ultimately settle there, unless Leonel decides to return to The Mob. He's gotten quite used to being the leader though.
Civilian Population:
Of 35 members, 11 can be considered "civilians" as they're too young to fight.
Armed Population:
24 trained mongeese. All above the age of ten, including Leonel and Odette.

For whatever reason I want to give Leonel his own scout troop now.

Ohmygosh I just remembered about Howie from WWC! xD

I had that group before, just transferred it to the new world building system.

And hmm...wonder if that would be worth bringing over. I don't really have characters worth bringing from there, though. I already have Callandra coming over.

I am hoping that living in a damaged cruise is acceptable.

I could change their troop name, too.

But how exactly would Leonel find a bunch'a boyscouts?.. Hmmm.

I'll think about that, but I need a green light first!

And, in response to Purgel... That's okay... But you'd be away from everyone else, which is certainly not ideal.

Sounds fine. Though as pointed out, you WOULD be away from everyone else. Though we're all kinda scattered every which way, which at least on my part is intentional because, even if it is a bit over the top, it feels nice expanding how things are going on about the world all over the place. Or, well, the US in this RP.

You'd get the greenlight, but yeah, I don't know where exactly it'd work.

So, I would be in a damaged cruise at Singapore, maybe as a group called, I don't know, one of this four would do...
Nova Sol Republic
Or
The Republic of Singapore
Or
Far East Trade League
Or
The Singapore Armed Forces

Question is, which one?

Different name
same starting point
same situation: low supplies, dense city, food is plenty(if you like seafood), easily defendable.
Basically, if the group takes Singapore in 3 years, nothing will go wrong.
