No, no. To my understanding you need one guard per five population to give Security, so two Militia would do just fine for a large population of ten. Technically even two Nomads would do, though my raiding Militia would be able to overcome them.


The rules are a bit cloudy. Once you hit 5 population, All your populations will need security, and each military unit will give just 1.

Hmm, interesting. So you need a serious military to provide security to larger provinces.

So I was right! An individual can only have farmers and warriors in a province to protect themselves from your raids!

Also, I edited my 11-14 posts so that my Imperial Court is defended by a milita, not a nomad. To afford it, I just skipped out on the wardog camp because I'd only need it if I wanted demobilized wardogs.

I think walls are more for formal defense, since things like agricultural hamlets and whatnot would be outside then. But yeah, Security should be changed to one guard per five pop, and I say that even though I'm the one who benefits most from Security being impossible to maintain.

Do you guys mind that in my post I mentioned having a beaver lodge and dam? I just put that in there because thats what Beavers tend to do and I think I mentioned that kind of thing in my app. Though I could be mistaken.

I've been using the imgur map this whole time (because I typically use NS on mobile), but I just looked at the interactive map and it's totally different! What happened?

I'll put in some kind of police station eventually to keep your people safe, but you need not be concerned with your population, unless its some important strata of in your society, or until their minds a poisoned with communist dogma and they'll rebel/dissent if some other faction has better living standards.
