If you want some of my advice on RPs, time settings, and whatnot:

i) if you don't like the setting of the RP, do not participate.
ia) if you are not participating, or you are participating and still do not like the setting of the RP, do not whine and complain about it. That's the OP's decision, not yours.
ii) if you do not like the level of realism in the RP, do not participate.

Stuck at the hospital due to a family emergency, but there's wi-fi, so I'm going to try and conduct a thread trawl to kill time.

Long story, but my dad is in surgery to get his gallbladder removed. Nothing too serious, but I'm holding down the fort while my mom gets stuff for the night.

He should be fine. At the moment, I'm just glad I had the forethought to bring my stuff with me ahead of time.

NS is just as good for killing time as it is for salt-mining and the like, and hey, I might actually get off my ass and roll out some para-verse updates while I'm waiting.

PROVIDE A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE RP: While the idea of a "Transcendental Man" or humans born with unique and other worldly abilities. Things such as self healing, Inhuman streangth, and physic abilities were known to exist. It were so uncommon many people would disregard them as hoaxes or even myths. However in 1942 people started to notice a shift in this trend. More and more humans were being born some sort of other worldly abilities. Initial research started in 1944 when Nazi scientist took Jewish babies suspected of being Transcendental and examined them much in the way they would regular Jewish subjects. However with the invading soviets liberating these camps cut short the experimentation. However this trend was observable throughout much of the world. The US fielded some Transcendental human children as young as eight years old in Korea to test the abilities of there powers with some saying they were massively successful and even claim they helped the Americans break through the Pusan perimeter. Similar testing occurred during Vietnam as well and all pointed to these people holding and possessing massive power potentials.

The year is 1985, Reagan has just been reelected by a massive margin, Cood war tensions are running high, Transcendentals are forced to register with the Federal Government and are being prescribed medication meant to suppress their abilities, if not they face incarceration. Many Transcendentals feel that the oppression they suffer from the cautious government has gone on for far to long. In the city of Philadelphia which has been struck byba spike in poverty over the years has been a breeding ground for what they call the "pro-emancipation" movement. This movement has been fractured.

Some see using there abilities for the good of society and showing the world that they can be a force for good is the best possible way to turn public opinion in favor of there freedom. Other believe that the forceful acquisition of freedom is the only possible way to gain true freedom with many in this camp support succession from the United States and forming their own state along the east coast.

For those of you who recall the idea i have started Once We Were Villains, on another rp site.

The idea is in the locked thread and funnily enough i like Gres am in the hospital, for equally minor things but for my Mom, so i cant repost the idea right now.
