*Cough* Superhero Noir *Cough*

could be intresting, most in the past are set either during WW 1, WW 2, or the Cold War, so that would be rather interesting.

Those events seem a bit too cliche if I'm at all honest. Not bad but no doubt have been done before. I actually had an idea for a superhero RP that was more a spiritual successor of We Were Never Heroes, but it can easily be transcribed to a different timeline.

well the 20's will actually make a good setting, depending upon how Superheroes and Metas are in the world. The 20's while an era of rebuilding held much crime and the like as well, it will depend upon the setting, but could be good. If you are to do this, i would suggest limiting the powers or create some sort of power tier system for it, or the like.

Was thinking they'd be a bit numerous in the sense that they've always been around if maybe a bit more so nowadays. Most would have benign abilities or would be considered basically human (think minor abilities like bending spoons or whatnot), with any dangerous powers being exceedingly rare. Already had a tier class in mind as well. The US government would organize metas between D-Class (or maybe E or F-Class depending on fine tuning) to A-Class. By your suggestion I take it that you've seen RP's get derailed by powers?

I have, a bit, but mostly it was due to the era, The 20's would have much less funds and the like for reparations for damages and for funding the various groups. So destroying things and working secretly as many meta/superhero things do, would have to be to a minimum.

I hope that was a typo.

they dont grant superstrength as that is the suit, adn as i said a bit ago, depending it wouldnt be far fetched for such a thing to happen within 11 years, considering current projects by the US military (T.A.L.O.S suit) and Japan.

So you're saying it's perfectly reasonable that in eleven years we'll have power armor that grants flight, super strength, near invincibility, and laser hands?

considering that there are currently frames and the like that could grant a fascimile of superstrength and the near invincibility isnt far off with the Talos suits the US military is developing, something akin to ironman suits perhaps, but not the actual thing, could be possible.

so enabling someone to lift near a ton is not granting superstrength or a fascimile of it?

is it too far fetched that within 11 years an effective commercially available fascimile of an ironman suit could be made?

It might just kick off, but many of us don't know about the customs and culture of the 20s, which hopefully would be briefly covered.

Define bullets, because anything from a 22lr to a 50 BMG is a bullet.

The iron man suit can take a tank shell, for reference on what I mean by near invincibility.

A canadian Bear Photographer, created a suit of Body armor that is bulletproof (As much as something can be) Impact resistant, fire resistant, explosive resistant, etc, and it has quick draw holsters and a build in ac system. he will sell and or make you one for a fee

Body armor, in general, is impact resistant. As for explosive resistant, that's a load of bullshit. This is explosive resistant.

Are you talking about Troy hurt-something? He made that ten years ago. Explain to me why no nation on Earth has adopted his inventions if he made something superior to modern armor.

Explain how, if most of the components for something similar to an Ironman type suit exist, in some shape or form?

Most of the components for an Iron Man suit are superalloys that can absorb tank shells despite being less than an inch thick, highly efficient propulsion systems, advanced AI, and compact but powerful motors. We have none of these. We are nowhere near an Iron Man suit.

Most of the components for an Iron Man suit are superalloys that can absorb tank shells despite being less than an inch thick, highly efficient propulsion systems, advanced AI, and compact but powerful motors. We have none of these. We are nowhere near an Iron Man suit.

That is not explaining how realisically we wouldnt be able to make an fascimile, meaning something similar not an exact copy of a fictional thing, of the ironman suit.
