Armed Forces: The armed forces of the IHE are organized into two distinct branches. Dominated by massive dreadnaughts and fearsome airships, the Fleet is responsible for protecting the access points to the Imperium's borders, whether that be the waves of the Eldenian Channel or the narrow passage of Denmark. The second branch is the Imperial Army, which hosts a small but experienced corp of both foot soldiers and elite shock mechs.

History: Founded in ancient times by Eldenians fleeing from the Te'Chan scourge, the Imperium began as simply Eldenia. Spreading peacefully throughout the island, Eldenia existed in peace until a fearsome invasion by the Nords in 1444, which drove in from the North like an icy dagger. However, due the natural tactical genius of Veris Eldenian and the valiance of a militarized merchant fleet led by Tirianal Verindian, Eldenia pushed back and even cleansed the Nordic faith from their lands, converting and taming the wild lands of the Far North from the origin city of Compassia. It was at this time that the Eldenian nation rechristened themselves as the Imperium of Holy Eldenia, to commemorate the terrible conflict fought and the great Luminaries that brought the nation through such a time of trial. Now, the Imperium stands as the bastion of the True Faith in the North.

USA could control that much. Also, British Empire was far larger. If there are a lack of apps for the Americas, I'll be going larger to fill in the space (colonization of the west started in the 1700s).

I agree that taking the whole of the US is a bit too much. But I think that he should be able to take more land than just half of the east coast.

History: Falzaz the Conqueror united the clans under one rule, his power and ferocity earned him the title of demi-god among his people and his former stronghold was made into the clan's capital, seen as a holy place for it's connection to Falzaz. After his death the Gnoll believed him to ascend to godhood, becoming Falzaz god of Leadership. Under Falzaz's rule the Gnoll grew in number and their land in size, through a short but bloody war he brought the neighboring Dragonian's into the Gnoll clans. Many ruled after Falzaz's death, the next notable Warlord to come would be Grmak the Advancer. Grmak brought rifles and to the Gnolls and under his rule airships and landhips were 'invented' and started production. Now, many years later, Warlord Bizagg Head Claimer has taken the seat of power. Contrary to his name Bizagg seeks diplomatic solutions before violent ones, his title was brought on by a long series of 'honor' duels that he was challenged to just prior to his becoming Warlord. He won every one, loping off each of his opponents heads, even if they had already died. Bizagg took tem as trophies and placed them on pikes outside Greystone. Bizagg seeks expand his clans in both power and land.

In the RP you cannot start it with colonies, you have to make them in character over time and build em up. The rules for colonies are the more you devote to them the quicker they will be established as your territory but the more you pressure colonizing the weaker your armies are.

Renaissance Spain and Portugal did better than Spain and Portugal in terms of number of colonies than industrial Spain and Portugal. Bottom line is, that is too much land for one player to start off with.
