*Weakness*, in this sense that Rebel ships like the Mon-Calamansi ships being about to put out a balanced array of fire on a near 360-degree field of fire.

I replace a lot of the "phantom" weapons which are not visible on the images with similarly invisible turreted weapons in the side trenches and sides of the superstructure for a wider field, though the heaviest weapons (intended for long-range fighting), the beam lasers, are projected out of the upper superstructure, aiming forward only. Since the shape and sizes are identical, all shape-based problems remain.

However, to compensate for this I slap on even more guns, essentially by duplicating the dorsal weapons on the ventral surface (I also did this with my Yamato ships), so there is indeed an almost complete sphere of fire available, except for the very rear of the ships (the engines and behind the tower). Mass-numbers of all-range handwavium-fuelled macross-spiralling missiles would probably be used to deal with targets there.

Mon-Calamansi? ;P

Large scale invisibility? I'll use nanites to rearrange my hull so it absorbs tons of radar, but full invisibility that size seems a bit ridiculous.

My god, you guys are too used to people trying to sneak in overpowered things =P

I was speaking purely in an OOC form there. Many weapons of the Imperial Star Destroyers are not visible from their models - see how in the movies, lasers and such seem to fire from spots on the hull which have no turrets or any form of firing port - thus making them 'invisible' due to size. If my Senmetsus were armed with the amount of weapons visible on the Imperial Star Destroyer's model, the only weapons they would have would be the turreted turbolasers (560mm railguns on my version). Thus, more weapons are needed, which also cannot be seen on the models, thus also making them 'invisible' - ICly these weapons would of course be visible and targetable, and I even listed them on the wiki page which I linked to in my post.

Seriously. It makes no sense for there to have invisible weapons, since if such technology exists then why not make the whole ship invisible?

I'm planning to have shields, but only localized ones around certain important areas, such as the engines, the bridge, and certain very useful guns.

I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Enough of this. I have already explained myself, and it was all a misunderstanding caused by paranoia about godmodders and possibly not considering the context of my original post before trying to shoot down a non-existent idea. Nobody is having literal invisible guns ICly, and I am beginning to feel genuinely insulted that so many people believe I am anything less than a respectable RPer.

I'll be honest, I don't see the point or problem of invisible ship-based weaponry. It's not like anyone's going to actually close to visual range where it might matter,, so...

I looked at the OOC and was surprised to see that thos argument was being handled the way it was. I think I want to join. Is there anything I should know before I do, such as being limited on what nation tier I can pick (if that's in the OoC already, I apologize. I haven't read it all, yet, and am still going through it)?
Depression kind of goes along with not being liked, especially when you ask for help, and don't get it. Remember that, okay? There are people who need someone, even if in a small way. Don't avoid them because of a misunderstanding, them having a bad day, and definitely not because everyone else does it. Even if it's just a fifteen minute conversation about nothing, it might help.

I just read it, and it said that only Tier 2/early Tier 1 will be used. Maybe you should edit it to reflect this? I was thinking of a hybrid tier nation, but I can't figure out if I'm going to be more or less advanced in certain technological areas, or if it will be a non-tech thing, so I'm just gonna go with a normal nation. Trying to think of a culture. Do you have a Japanese-like, yet?

I honestly wouldn't advise reading it all. Basically, you have to be something other than human, don't go for high tier 1, keep all fuckery about "my nation is stronger" on the discord.
