Probably - first I think it likely that the Pact, once it gets it shit together, will be fighting the Northern Transhumanists. After - or perhaps in the middle of, depending on Concordat interventionism - that war it's likely the Pact is going to sit around until it gathers enough strength and takes out enough little guys to go head to head with the Concordat...

Well, this should be fun to watch.

Edit: Especally since I'm a) neutral, b) probably the biggest tech powerhouse in the Galaxy and c) squatting in the core so whichever side I go with will have quite an advantage. Unfortunately the Etia are too arrogant to pick a side.

Hm, while I've already gotten one strength and weakness down for my nation, I'm trying to think of one or two more for each since having only one strength and one weakness feels a but lacking.

What would be great is the victors finally standing, beaten and bloodied, over the ruins of their enemies homeworld finally victorious... when suddenly the massive high-tech fleet out of the core worlds appears out of nowhere, squashes the primitive and fatigued defenders, and proceeds to glass the entire galaxy.

Knowing us, we'd find an excuse to glass it long before that. Nicoll-Dyson beams when?

Name: Jupiterran
Description of Appearance

Homeworld: Jupiterra

Life Span: 200 - 300 years

Height: 150cm/5ft to 180cm/6ft

Weight: 46kg to 90kg

Tech Tier: 2.5

Description:
A race of nomadic scientists who formed a scientific empire within their cluster, the Jupiterrans were identified as such due to their Homeworld bearing similarities to Terra for their life supporting capabilities, and the rich bank of gases surrounding the planet, giving it a clouded appearance from space with the size of the gas giant Jupiter back in the solar system. These Jupiterrans possessed a culture of loving music and the way sound was carried from point to point. In the past, disputes were settled by battle cries and drumbeats, while the judges were chosen from a group of composers of the same genre. This way, the side with the best and strongest music wins, and the only way for a corrupted result would be for a majority of the judges to betray their own conscience.

The Jupiterrans stand at around five to six feet, males more to the taller end while females to the shorter. Physically they aren't exactly strong, but their body possesses a resilience against most diseases, bacteria and dirt resisted by a sheen of natural oxide, and lungs which filter out most intrusive particles. Still vulnerable to toxins like anthrax, they are an agricultural based race, often fitting their ships with self-sustaining farms although animal pens were beyond their capabilities.

Jupiterrans do not have organised religion, only the trust in song and music. Each year of 365 days include twelve days of holiday where the civil service would devote twelve hours to music, festivals where budding composers could market their creativity for sale and trade. Aesthetic Art is a form of life for the Jupiterrans, and music is the most basic form of such for the people.

There are no Caste system for the Jupiterrans, but those in the Spacer Guilds are treated with a form of increased respect. The Spacer Guilds take care of all things related to space, including starships and the Jupiterran Star Fleet, and is often exploring the depths of space and finding new planets to colonize. Other Guilds exist in the Administration Guild, which takes care of almost all things civil, the Guild of Agriculture, the Guild of Advancement which represents the scientists, and the Guild of Engineers, who maintain the Star Fleet as Jupiterra constantly seeks out new worlds.

GENERAL-

NS Nation Name: Relikai

Nation Name
: The Jupiterran Star Fleet

Flag:

Location: Juroxis Star Cluster

Tech Tier: 2.5 (Reaching Tier 2)

Nation Type:
Solar System Nations

Capital: Juroxis Delta System, Jupiterra, Jupiterra City

Government type: Parliamentary Republic. Consists of a Single Leader with two Deputies, and a single cabinet where Guild Masters and their Deputies would release public reports. Debates are shown on air, and the public votes not their leaders but their Guild Masters, who in turn vote for their Leader and Deputies. Deputies serve as a 'Check and Balance' counterweight to the Leader's words, and should a Deputy receive a vote of confidence to have an opposing plan imposed with approval of the Leader, he is responsible for any negative consequences while benefits are acknowledged to be the effort of the combined Government.

Men and Women are allowed to join the Government so long as they possess advanced education with ten years of relavent working experience in Guild Management.

History:

The Jupiterrans started off as a collection of tribes and nomads, travelling across the plains of their planet while celebrating with song and dance every night. The skies above was clouded in an ever swirling fog, the depths of space unreachable and often unimaginable by those who see with the naked eye. Led by several clans men, a splinter of the Jupiterran community began to dig into the soil, creating the first known farming community in the records of Jupiterran history. With the advent of materials which could withstand the elements, more of such communities sprang up around the planet, the Caravan, as the roaming population came to be known as, became the symbol of Jupiterran resilience and their exploratory nature.

The many communities which grew over the years became key supply points for the Caravan, where granaries and water holes were organised for easier access. In return, the Caravan traded goods for the continued access, becoming the main market for the different communities, some of which were in their infancy and unable to create caravans of their own. The Caravan continued to bolster and populate the planet, and different nations of Jupiterrans connected with each other through well made roads, thanks to the abundant materials of the planet.

War was common in Jupiterra, but as stated, disputes were resolved through the use of music and peaceful means. That was limited to just Jupiterrans however, for aliens who treated them with hostilities and were unable to be pacified with music were fought with ballistics and conventional armaments. The stronger creatures, including the Jullipede, massive 100 meter predatory worms whose carapace shedding and excretions fertilize the land, needed to be subdued with something stronger than just arrows and cannons. As Jupiterran society developed through the years, a creative physicist came up with the idea of using the essence of music, Sound, as a weapon. Since the Worms were blind but used vibrations to navigate themselves, Sound particles and vibrated along the soil, keeping the beasts away from Jupiterran communities and scoring a decisive outcome in the constant conflict.

As technology advances, so did the methods of war and conflict. While the Jupiterrans still resolve their own disputes through diplomacy and communication, the elders often keeping in contact throughout their years of guidance, the same could not be said of the other species of the world. The first contact with hostile aliens resulted in a crippling defeat for the Jupiterrans, and their homeworld invaded and people enslaved. Therefore, actual military development around Sonic Energy picked up, starting from the usage of 'Bang Grenades', with the sound rupturing the insides of a person as the particles traveled through their bodies and shearing muscle and organs. However, even this technology has its limits, and sonic bullets were not as effective as conventional rounds unless used against a large organic masses.

The first attempt at spacefaring came when a group of Jupiterrans decided to break through the swirling mineral gases of Jupiterra to see what lies beyond. The first rocket was a success, and the findings spurred the interests of multiple communities of Jupiterrans, as the ability to reach space and navigate through them became a mutual lust. Dreams to dominate the atmosphere and the local space was a goal shared by the Jupiterrans, and the Star Fleet, a bold initiative launched by the Leader of the people, was born.

Using the old histories of the Jupiterran Caravan, Jupiterra launched the first of their own self-sustaining ships, the Constructor-Class Mk1 to serve as a ship where food could be produced, and factories sustaining the population inside and beyond. The dream to replicate the Caravan was reached as the Core-Class came into existence, huge city ships dedicated to civilian families of military men, complete with their theme parks and leisure. Still, each vessel served as the heartbeat of Jupiterra, combining the Caravan and Community into one.

With Space reached, planets colonised and Starbases built, the Star Fleet became a symbol of the Jupiterran Dream. With their futures depending on the Fleet and the superweapon of Z.U.R.O.K.I Sonic-Resonance Missiles, Jupiterra continued to look outwards, awaiting results of the men and women serving in the ships of the Fleet.

Population: 14 Billion

Number of Systems:
1 - Juroxis Delta

Species: Jupiterrans

ECONOMIC-

Ideology: Socialist-Capitalist.The government takes care of those working without a full-time job, providing basic amneties and a small allowance to support a basic living.

Economy: Good. The Jupiterran Star Fleet is a fluid economy which acts as an interstellar caravan, trading with different star systems and among the planets where different exotic goods could be found. Large economies in military manufacturing, secondary and teriatry goods and services. Tourism forms a large part of the economy, a Jupiterran Core Ship acts like a city of its own, and the Constructor-class is a technological platform for the sharing and trading of military plans. Mining Jupiterran Mineral Gases and Asteroids boost the economy in hard materials, providing a boost to the Manufacturing Industry.

Manufacturing:
Strong. While the largest of ships were built and assembled in the orbital rings around Jupiterra, the planet itself boasts a strong industrial complex for consumer goods and processing fuel. The other planets under the Star Fleet possess their own Industrial Complexes, and each has the ability to produce warships up to Light Cruisers. Constructor-class Factory ships produce both consumer goods and warships for trading and use by the Star Fleet.

Agriculture: Good. Hydroponic and Aeroponic technology allows for plants and crops to be grown in almost any secured room in Jupiterra and the Star Fleet. Each warship from the Heavy Cruiser class and above possess the independent ability to provide their crew with hardy staple food and vegetables, as well as excess to supply a smaller ship or two. Dedicated Starbases which possesses multiple defensive platforms serve as orbital farms for visiting fleets, and while meat is a scare commodity due to the space required to maintain the animals, the Jupiterran Express ensures that quality meat would always be found in the warships of the Star Fleet. Ships from the Carrier-Class to the Core Ships and Constructor-Class possess the ability to feed squadrons of other ships due to the space they committed to compact farming.

MILITARY -

Population: 500 Million

Branches: Jupiterran Army, Jupiterran Marine Division, Jupiterran Space Corp, Jupiterran Star Fleet.

The Army watches over the planets and garrisons surface forts and camps. Given a modest budget, they consist of the smallest branch in the Jupiterran Star Fleet.

The Marines take care of anything within the dark recesses of space, as well as provide dedicated security for the Star Fleet. The third largest of the Jupiterran Military, the Marines were given more specialised weapons and training than the Army.

The Space Corp consists of volunteer and regular pilots, providing local security to the Starbases and Space Stations of Jupiterra. The Second Largest due to their nature as a security force, most members who excel in their role are transferred to the Star Fleet where they would serve as ranking officers and senior ranks.

The real deal, the pinnacle of Jupiterran culture lies in the armada of several thousand ships of varying sizes, the Star Fleet holds nearly 420 million people in its ships, a huge concentrated mass of civilians, soldiers and pilots all gathered into a spherical formation surrounding the Core Ships, the huge Constructor-Class factory ships providing sustenance for the entire fleet. While the Jupiterrans acknowldge themselves as inferior to the other races in terms of infantry and other aspects of ground combat, a different story was to be told in their air and space.

Standard Army and Marine Gear:
Jupiterran Centurion Shock Troopers
Jupiterran Covert Ops
Standard Armour

Small Arms Weapons -

All small arms weapons are propelled by magnetic acceleration.

Bullets come in two forms, the standard Ballistic round which follows the concept of fragmentation. As it tumbles upon impact, it loses kinetic and armour piercing potential, but opens large gaping wounds in its targets. The Sonic rounds pack a mini-capsule of stored sonic energy, from which the round would penetrate the initial layer of armour, causing the capsule to propel sound through the hard surface before splitting up into dozens of sonic particles, shearing targets from within.

The Jupiterran Star Fleet

Jupiterran Naval Doctrine relies heavily on defence around the Core Ships and Constructors, as well as long range ballistic and missile technology. Laser weaponry is deployed on smaller fighters, while larger ships use Plasma-based weaponry sparingly. They are grouped according to Squadrons of four, eight and sixteen ships per battlegroup,

Spacer Guild Uniform

Ships
Fighters: An important part of the Jupiterran Combat Doctrine is the use of fighters as fast and maneuverable weapon platforms to engage larger enemy ships and deliver their missile payload. The Breeze-Class fighters are the mainstay of the Fighter Fleet, heavily armed and shielded and able to perform near-independent missions with their complete utility equipment. Agate-Class Interceptors are the first reactors to any incursions in Jupiterran Space, sacrificing protection for good optical technology, speed and four dual laser cannons. Twister-Class Missile Boats lumber into combat under escort of other fighters before unleashing a barrage of missiles against capital ships or smaller craft.

Cruisers: The mainstay of the Jupiterran Star Fleet, cruisers are expected to serve as almost any kind of vessel for the Star Fleet's operations. Diplomatic, Economic and Military missions are carried out with at least a cruiser in tow, and often advertisements for the Star Fleet comes in the form of a cruiser. The cruiser class packs some of the heaviest firepower per tonne in the Star Fleet, as well as exceptional shielding and armour. The Cruiser class represents the transition into the 'Carrier-Starship' concept of the Star Fleet, where heavier classes would possess at least a sizable complement of starfighters to suit the concept of 'all-rounder' ships.

Battlecruisers: Line warships of the Star Fleet, the Battlecruisers are fast warships who rely on independence to use their speed and firepower to great effect against enemy logistics and weak spots. Due to the size of the Core Ships, the scale between the Cruisers and Battleships left a huge gulf, and military planners sought a fast ship class with the firepower of a battleship to engage in offensive operations. Battlecruisers possess a total of three FTL systems, for while the Hyperdrive remains the standard FTL system in the Star Fleet, two Jump Drives are installed for tactical jumping, allowing a Battlecruiser to deal large amounts of damage against an unsuspecting foe, jumping away before enemy reinforcements could arrive.

Battleships: The battleships of the Star Fleet boasts the most impressive firepower in the Juroxis System, and serve as tactical flagships in the Star Fleet's fleets. The first class large enough to mount the 'Excalibur' Railguns, and assembled only at the Jupiterra Ringworld, the appearance of a Jupiterran battleship means that Jupiterran interests were severely threatened, and Jupiterra was not about to leave so easily. The largest and final say in Jupiterran politics, the cost of breaking one from the Star Fleet would often take days of planning and redesigning the formation before other ships could cover the gulf of protection left behind by a single vessel in the Star Fleet's spherical formation.

Carriers: Spreading the influence of Jupiterran hegemony in the system, the Carriers provide much needed support in fighter craft and close air support for the troops on the ground. Armed with few anti-ship weaponry but bristling with CIWS and point defence weapons, the Carriers serve as homes and farms for a part of the Star Fleet, providing extra supplies of food should any ship encounter a bad harvest. Able to carry up to several destroyers, Carriers serve as refueling points as well as tethers for ships who require refueling, and can also repair ships within its massive hangar bays.

Constructors: The basis of the Caravan Legacy, Constructor Ships are huge space factories mining and processing all sorts of raw materials from space into usable products for civilians and the military. From asteroids to debris, multiple drones would collect and pull the resources into the huge gravity wells of the ship, allowing it to 'consume' them where the materials would be analysed and converted into usable products. The Constructors are able to build ships up to the Cruiser-Class, and can repair up to eight battlecruisers should they latch onto the four sides of the Constructor. Over time, the Constructor might want to expand itself, something which could be done by manufacturing modular parts and fixing them onto the Constructor itself. The Constructor-Class also works as housing for the Star Fleet, and one produces excess food to feed a tenth of the Star Fleet alone.

  • Manufactory-Class Constructor:
    • Length: 30000 Meters
    • Width: 5800 Meters
    • Height: 5800 Meters
    • Primary Weapon: 100x 'Avalon' Multipurpose Shield Projectors

    • FTL Drive: Yes (Primary - 2x Hyperdrive, Secondary - 2x Jump Drive)
    • Point Defense: Yes
    • Shields: Yes

Core Ships: The Caravan. Core ships house millions upon millions of people, fully independent of any other ship with supplies and fuel to last the entire population several hundred years. The source of the Star Fleet's food and fuel, these ships are the most protected, most revered pieces of technology by the Jupiterrans who brought over their history was caravaneers to the stars. The Core Ships produce enough to feed the Star Fleet, and provide excess goods and foodstuff or export to foreign planets and other civilizations. Inside a Core Ship would be everything one needs to live, work, study and enjoy, several metropolises combined into one huge city where everyone could live in comfort. Tourists are allowed to visit a Core Ship as part of the Jupiterran tourism plan, albeit with a high degree of security on board.

There are forty of these ships in the center of the Star Fleet, forming the center of the formation as they travel the stars.

  • Jupiterra-Class Core Ship:
    • Length: 45000 Meters
    • Width: 12000 Meters
    • Height: 12500 Meters
    • Primary Weapon: 2056x 'Varnish' 20mm Pulse Laser Cannons
    • Top Speed: 1.5 AU/d
    • FTL Drive: Yes (Primary - 4x Hyperdrive, Secondary - 4x Jump Drive)
    • Point Defense: Yes
    • Shields: Yes

Starbases: Supply points and orbital farms, Jupiterran Starbases are huge defensive platforms which also provide sustenance for the passing Star Fleet and friendly ships which require supply. The only orbiting platforms which actually farm meat, a starbase visit is considered a luxury due to the restocking of dried meat into one's ship, as well as the possibility of eating fresh produce from premium soil farms instead of hydro and aeroponic-grown produce on the Jupiterran ships nurseries.

  • Eden-Class Starbase:
    • Length: 35000 Meters
    • Width: 35000 Meters
    • Height: 10000 Meters
    • Primary Weapon: 56x 'Excalibur' 25600mm Repeater Railguns
    • Secondary Weapon: 98x 'Caliburn' 9400mm Gauss Rifles
    • Tertiary Weapon: 128x 'LaKenza' 800mm Pulse Laser Cannons
    • Quaternary Weapon: 200x 'Space Dart' Proton/Kinetic Torpedo Launchers, 20000 of each Torpedoes
    • Hanger: 20000x Fighter-Class, 100x Corvette-Class, 100x Frigate-Class, 20x Destroyer-Class, 2x Cruiser-Class
    • Top Speed: 0.005 AU/d
    • FTL Drive: Yes (Primary - 2x Hyperdrive, Secondary - 2x Jump Drive)
    • Point Defense: Yes
    • Shields: Yes

Space Weapon Types: As evidenced, high dependence on ballistic weaponry while integrating laser and plasma technology into the fleet. Torpedoes and missiles provide an added dimension of attacks, and the Z.U.R.O.K.I Sonic Resonance missiles allow sound particles to pass through the solid mass of a warship's armour before discharging particles which slice into soft matter and components beyond the hull. These particles bounce off indefinitely until they lose their speed, during which a droning sound could be heard until the last of them dissipate with the loss of energy.

Strengths: The Jupiterran Star Fleet takes pride in the quality of their ships and ballistic weaponry, and their famed shield projectors which provides protection for other ships. Their starships often punch far above their weight, and unique technologies allow them to surprise their enemies with careful usage of their superweapons. The Star Fleet could abandon Jupiterra and continue growing thanks to the Constructors, and feed themselves with the meticulous planning of the Core Ships. Self-maintenance and upkeep is highly encouraged and practiced, allowing a huge fleet to be maintained while keeping the Jupiterran budget stable.

Weaknesses: Their infantry could be the worst of all other infantry belonging to similar tiers. The Star Fleet is highly dependent on the protection of the Core Ships, and each vessel is highly expensive to build. Capital ship construction is slow due to orbital factories being the only ones capable of building them.

Nope, because we're sort-of one of the reasons it was founded.

Eh, they're similar questions. Presume anyone who doesn't say no is part of it.

Russia's an idiot. So is the US, and quite a few of the western sphere. Population education and literacy is your issue, not the politics of foreign nations.
