Now that I think about it, my character would have been able to fire at either since he was well out of the middle east(espically Syria) during the time at which they[Akarah/Afran] were serving. Calling BS on what?

Also I'm kind of curious how he got a VC while serving in the Canadian navy. I could understand if he got it while in JTF2, but the Canadian navy doesn't exactly do anything where sailors would be able to get a VC.

I was talking of the base itself.

He is a Military Vet though, but since it would have been awhile he would have been given the two month crash course.

What I meant by months is some went to the two months training, then sent to the island base for a while or just arraived, while some that have never been "properly trained" have had the 9 months training, and ether arraived prior to the date, or just arriving as well. While military and just discharged have came straight to the base some months/weeks/days before or just arriving
