It also helps being mysterious and such since all cool, power hungry mages have masks or hoods to show how mysterious they are.

Nah, don't think Dutch would go with that, wanted to start with the key to Frostcrag since it would be easier to obtain and can start off somewhere in the story.

Polonius Julii
Race: Human Imperial
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/TSpS6rEg.jpg
Class: Crusader
Equipment:
- Custom Made Imperial Armor. Heavily enchanted with several wards for protection and weight reduction.
- A circlet of laurels enchanted to increase his magic reserves greatly.
- Steel greatsword enchanted with to make it far sharper and harder than it normally would be while retaining the strong properties of steel.
- When not fighting he wears very extravagant robes of fine furs.
- Major landowner in Whiterun. Owns a manor outside the town with extensive farmland. Owns a vacation residence in Solitude.
Skills:
- Two-handed weapons
- Destruction
- Heavy Armor
- Restoration
- Speech
- Block
Weaknesses:
- Not very subtle
- Even with enchantments his armor is quite heavy in combat
Bio: Born the second son in Whiterun to the 'Jarl' if you could call him that. A prestigious and well known Imperial family in Cyrodil, when the Empire retook their lost part of Skyrim his father was asked to move to Whiterun to take control of the Hold and bring it back under full Imperial control. For years his father would rule a fair, yet just ruler. He would have his first son four years before Polonius, the one who would eventually become Jarl, much to Polonius' ire, and, of course, four years later would come along Polonius.

Never in the spotlight as a child, his brother was heavily favored over him, just like you would find in most Imperial families, though that isn't to say his parents hated him. They of course loved Polonius like any parent would love a child but him being the younger brother meant he wasn't to inherit the family position.

This would lead to a growing resentment towards his parents that would fester over the years. Though nothing would ever come of it Polonius would never forget how he would be left behind.

Eventually when Polonius turned eighteen years of age he was pushed by his father to join the Legion, which, of course, he would. He would serve for the standard ten years of contract most soldiers would. Throughout the years he would obtain the rank of Tribune coming close to being made a Legate but was mostly passed over.

Polonius would serve all across Skyrim. From the western holds fighting the limited numbers of forsworn and all the way in the east where occasional skirmishes would be had against the rebels there. It was during his time as a Legionnaire he would meet Annaick.

Annaick would join his legion as a transfer over from another legion that was decimated by rebels in the east. He would introduce Polonius to magic of many kinds. He would tutor Polonius in basic destruction magic and they would become fast friends.

When his time in the army ended Polonius would arrange for Annaick to be discharged in Whiterun so that he may join Polonius as an advisor of sorts. Polonius would delve deeper into his training, eventually hiring a mentor to teach him a bit more destruction magic with most of his focus going towards restoration magic.

RP Sample: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=368405&p=29480094&hilit=Johnson#p29480094

Personality: Sadistic, corrupt man who uses his position of power not to help and protect the people around him, but to further his own goals.

Annaick Perore
Race: Human Breton
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/U4VvQK2.jpg
Class: Witchunter
Equipment:
- A mastercrafted bow paid for by his master Polonius. Enchanted to suck the Souls of those unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of Annaick's precise shots.
- Set of leather armor with supports of steel almost like Imperial Legion armor. Nothing much special about it.
- Three rings on his hands. One a normal wedding ring. The other two are enchanted to increase his spell power.
- Carrie's several potions on him. A few potions for healing that are rarely used. Most of them being varying types of poisons.
- A small short sword in case someone gets too close for comfort.
Skills:
- Alchemy
- Archery
- Conjuration
- Destruction
- Alteration
- Light armor
- Sneak
- Enchantment
Weaknesses:
- Light armor makes him squishy in combat.
- Heavily scarred face makes most others disgusted to look upon him.
- Has an air about him that makes many uncomfortable to be around him for long. Almost as if he radiates some sort of unforseen energy.
Bio: Born in Wayrest to two makes, both a part of the makes guild. Annaick would never known his parents very well as his parents would be killed shortly after he was born by Orc raiders from the east when they left to visit the Winterhold College. The makes guild was unwilling to keep him and he was promptly dumped off at one of the local orphanages.

Annaick would remain at said orphanage until about his thirteenth birthday but he has never told anyone for sure when he made his escape. From then on out Annaick would work as a theif for a long while eventually joining on with the Thieves Guild.

It would be here that Annaick would begin funding his natural abilities as a mage. Using the profits from his thievery, he would buy scrolls and books to teach himself. And for many years life was good for him.

Eventually though, it would all come crumbling down upon him. His guild prelared for the heist of a lifetime. The guild master had apparently come across information that the biggest bank in Wayrest would be expanding its facilities leaving it more open to attack.

For weeks they prepared and when the day came a great betrayal was had. The guild master had setup the entire heist with the guard captain of the city to have his crimes exonerated in exchange for turning over his guild. Annaick would try and escape and in the process killed a guardsman.

This would all be in vain as he was eventually run down and captured. Charged with murder and a multitude of other crimes Annaick would take the only way of escape. Service in the Imperial Army to rid him of his crimes. Annaick joined one of the so called 'penal legions.' Hastily trained and barely armed they were sent east to Skyrim.

Here he would serve for eight years in this penal legion. He would noted for his ferocity in combat and magical abilites. When his legion was ambushed and slaughtered it would be Annaick that would use his magic to break through the enemy lines and escape with a few others.

It was unexpected that the penal legion members would return after such an event but Annaick returned. Seeing this as a way to curry favor and hopefully have his sentence in the army reduced. His gambit payed off and his service time was cut by five years and he was transferred over to an actual legion. It would be here that he would meet Polonius who would eventually have him released of service in the legion to serve him.

Now he serves Polonius as a retainer. Polonius also pays for his research and in return Annaick teaches Polonius in magic and shares tidbits of his research with Polonius.
RP Sample: See above.

You can play as ANYONE! :)

except for...

Current no-no's for character creation:
Dragonborn (or people that can shout in general), Shezzarines, etc.
No races that aren't playable in the game (this might be up for discussion, but generally, no)
No leaders of Companions/Fighters Guild/College of Winterhold/etc

Thank you. Got an idea cooking in my head for a semi-corrupt Imperial Noble, his Breton retainer who dabbles in necromancy, and perhaps another character but I don't know for now.

They were returned ownership of the Reach, albeit underneath the Empire, during the previous RP. There's still some groups out there that disagree, but it's mostly calmed down.

That was supposed to be an edit...

Also:
Language: I replaces Dragon with Dwemer, the more I read about Hammerfell that fits better in every way. ;)
Bio, latest clarification: He is a proud Forebear, which should be clear seeing his bio. ;) That does not mean, that he does not like Hammerfalls current autonomy, as long as it stays cosmopolitical and open-minded. Skrew those narrow-minded wannabe isolationist Crowns and the witless Lhotunics. ;)

I'll put it in the Archive right away.

Off-topic: I just started playing TES Adventures: Redguard. I wish they had made that game in a pretty 2D comic style (like Broken sword 1 and similar adventures of the era) instead of the 3D engine with characters consisting of about a dozen polygons.

Question

Postby Yegla Islands » Thu Oct 20, 2016 12:03 pm

Is there a way i could contact the OP directly? I have a character in mind, and possibly two more depending on if the first one is accepted. However, this first character may or may not be pushing the boundaries of this RP in terms of race. Sorry, I''m new to this game and haven't really figured out many of the functions and/or controls yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

[size=135]Nazca/Aloys Natch
Race: Reachmen
Gender/Sex:Male/Bisexual
Appearance: http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/110/images/35863-1-1368403968.jpg
Class: Mage
Equipment: Blood color-dyed robes, a few potions, some soulstones, his mother's necklace, key to Frostcrag Spire
Skills: Master of Restoration, Experts Illusion and destruction, have some skill in alteration and alchemy
Weaknesses: melee fighting, isn't truly confrontational
Bio: Nazca was born by wedlock in a Forsworn tribe that his mother was sent out into exile. This was towards her benefit when the Second Great War came and he rose during the time in Cyrodil and Burma as the Empire marched on the offensive. His mother taught him in the ways of Restoration since she didn't want to heal his injuries all the time and it was better not to pay the prices of a local alchemist for the simplest of Rock Joint.

When he was around 12, he was waking at night and noticed a stabbing. While he saw that the killer ran off and snuck near the man bleeding out . Despite not wanting to show off his skill, he healed the victim and helped him before someone saw him and called the guards for help.
This got him some fame and a representative from the College of Whispers to offer him a place to tutor him and hone his potential. His mother reluctantly agreed. Soon he put on the robes of a College mage and went all over Tamerial to study in different schools of magic but he rent back home when his mother died and he inherited the small house in the poor section of Burma.

He deiced to keep his house and continued his studies as he spread out his studies to learning Illusion and Destruction, but he wanted to keep learning about healing and eventually learned how to keep himself form dying naturally and became one of the few master in restoration since many like to use fireballs, which is understandable. However, he started to wonder what good was learning magic as he and other College mages were sent for magical support but he still lived in the same wooden house in Burma and with just a poultry sum of Septims. It is when he thought of an idea that he never thought would ever happen in his mind.

He was going to try and become the leader of a new state that can bring unity to the lands. He didn't know how he would do it but he know that with his skills, he could do it in silence. So he broke into one of the hidden vaults of the College of Whispers and stole the key to a magical tower in the Jarrel Mountains called Frostcrag Spire and left the College with many still puzzled as to why he stole key and left but he knew that this was the first step on his quest to bringing the warring and desperate nations to his heel.
RP Sample: I was in the last one

Personality: He is a thinker, passionate, and calm. Is open-minded yet prefers the Reachmen because he rarely sees them outside of Skyrim
Likes: Helping, planning, anyone, recreation
Dislikes:Direct confrontation, the current state of Tamerial
Theme song:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj0bn7OprBk
Voice:Gruff Reachman voice

Uzug had a very close relationship with his father and tried to learn as much as possible from him so he could one day be as pride and fearsome. For several years Uzug fought alongside his father and the others against many oppenents and proved himself to be a capable Ranger. In time he climed the ranks of the Cursed Legion as he continued to strife for perfection, up till the point of Lieutenant.
On a warm spring night the Cursed Legion went out to take care of a job. Some Bandits had seized a bridge and demanded payment from anyone who wanted to pass through. The night raid on the bridge went smooth and the bandits quickly ran but they left Azar dead, shot right in the heart by an arrrow. Out of grief Uzug and the others persued the fleeing bandits and slaughtered them one by one in the most brutal fashion one could imagine.
Following Azar's death Uzug recieved the command of the Cursed Legion and continued the path of his father, now himself hoping for that one oppertunity to restore the legacy.

Chapter 0: A New Commander
Eight Years Ago

The Cursed Legion;

North of Chorrol,
Cyrodiil,
Tamriel.

With the moon being the only light to guide them, the soldiers of the Cursed Legion took their positions around the bridge and the bandit camp. Slowly and silently they moved closer until they came close enough.
Azar drew his weapons and looked back at his daughter, who was joining him for the very first time. He nodded at her before he charged at the nearest enemy who, before knowing what was going on, ended up losing his head. From various directions arrows followed as the bandits remained confused by the sudden chaos. Several bandits had fallen before they managed to get a grip on the situation, but instead of fighting back they started to run off as they realized that victory could not be achieved.
The Orsimer continued their assault against the retreating bandits and would do so until the bandits fell out of reach. Some bandits though returned fire and one of those arrows hit its target. Azar, confident as he was had advanced on his own and this was the price he had to pay, an arrow through his heart. His daughter, Assir, saw it all and felt dead inside herself for a moment. She quickly got a grip of herself and returned fire, killing the bandit. Assir ran over to her father, trying to see if he was alive, and when she noticed he wasn't, she tried to make him alive.
Several other Orsimer had gathered around and took the crying girl away from her father. At that moment her brother, Azar's son, Uzug, arrived as well. He sat down next to the body of his father and even though he wanted to cry, he couldn't. Uzug had to be proud, his father was old and died in the way he would have wanted. Still though, Azar's death could not go unpunished.
Dulua, Azar's best friend, helped Uzug back upon his feet and told the others to track down the bandits, all of them.

The hunt lasted until the early hours of the day, those that resisted got lucky and recieved a relative quick death, but those that got disarmed or surrendered recieved less of such treatment. Realizing who they dealth with and who they had killed sealed their fate, and their screams as they burned, their pleads for their lives as they were strapped to the horses and the choking noises as they hanged in the shadow of the trees became the last memories of that night for many.
The day became a day of mourning for the Orsimer, not only did they lost their Commander, their father or their friend, they also lost a hero.

With the death of Azar, a new commander had to be chosen if they wanted to keep the Cursed Legion standing. During the evening, as they all sat around the campfire, Dulua decided to break the ice, "The lost of Azar is a painful one we all feel, but we should start looking forward. He lived for us as he did for the Cursed Legion and we should honor him by passing on those thoughts. We need to appoint a new Commander amongst us."
A restless moment followed Dulua's suggestion until one of the Orsimer stood up, "Lets get this over with, my sword goes to you Dulua" he said. A few others followed up before Dulua could speak for himself, "Wait. I'm not your Commander, i'm too old for that sort of stuff. We shouldn't have these conversations every year, we should look for the young generation, those who have a future ahead of them." "None of them have the experience for such job" One of the Orsimer replied, questioning Dulua's opinion. "I realize that very well, but we are still here and we can still guide them. Remember, the Legion is a family and we support one another in whatever role they have to fulfill."
Another restless moment followed and the eyes of the older generation turned to the younger ones, "Well, that leaves us with only one choice i believe. Uzug, you have showed your worth many times and we all know you have the ambition the Cursed Legion needs. Boy, you have my axe." One of the oldest Orsimer said. Quickly others followed and so Uzug, son of Azar, became the new Commander of the Cursed Legion.
Personality: Uzug is a restless Orsimer, he tends to be busy all the time even when there is nothing to do. He is passionate and desperate at the same time as he seeks new ways and new oppertunities to provide for the Cursed Legion. His sole goal is to make his father and Malacath proud, wherever they may be.

  • 1 Ancient Nord Armor Set
  • 1 Nordic Sword
  • 1 Iron Shield
  • 1,500 Septims

Bio: Omnir, born as Nasoud, spend his early life in a village just to the west of Riverhold. It was a normal life with both his father as mother looking after him. This life however did not last long as a group of Imperial deserters raided his village when he was just two years old. He was the only one to survive as his mother managed to hide him before the deserters broke into their house.
Three days he was alone until a group of Orsimer found him and took him with them. Growing up amongst the Orsimer wasn't easy for Omnir, he always felt like he didn't belong there and the only person he cared about was his new mother. Even though he was treated like all others he started to view himself as an outcast, unwanted by the Orsimer and he started to force confirmation for that out of every small matter. When his new mother died while giving birth to Uzug he almost collapsed as he saw his life slipping away. His new father seemed to have alot more eye for his real son and over time Omnir started to think about leaving.
When Omnir turned 23 he walked over to his new father, Azar, and told he wanted to learn more about his roots. Without any hesitation Azar agreed as he thought it might help Omnir with his struggles, Omnir however saw this as another confirmation that he wasn't wanted. On advice of Azar he headed to a city nearby and met with an old Khajiit trader. Omnir didn't reveal where he was from but still managed to get himself hired.
For about six months Omnir managed to keep his history hidden although the old Khajiit trader noticed quickly that this wasn't an ordinary Khajiit, he might have looked like one but he sure didn't act or spoke like one. Upon confronting Omnir with it he told about his history, suprisingly though, the Khajiit already knew about it, he just wanted to hear it from Omnir himself. There was only one Khajiit who grew up with the Orsimer of the Cursed Legion.
The old Khajiit told that many years ago, when he was still young, he set out on his journey into the lands of the Empire. Not far from the border he first met the Cursed Legion and Omnir for the first time. The trader offered to take Omnir with him as he though that the Orsimer had no use for him, but both Omnir's new mother and father refused to hand him over. They explained to the trader that Omnir had been through enough these days and that he needed a secure home to grow up in.
Upon hearing about it Omnir felt bad right away, he always thought he was unwanted yet it appeared that the Orsimer indeed took him in like one of their own. Three years long Omnir remained with the old Khajit trader and learned a thing or two about negotiations. In the end though he decided it was time to return to his real home.
Searching for the Cursed Legion turned out to be alot harder than expected after those years and they could be anywhere in Tamriel. It took Omnir four years to track them down but eventually he got reunited with his family.
Omnir was lucky enough to tell Azar about his journey, what exactly drove him to it and what he learned as it was just two days later that Azar died in battle. Omnir has since remained with the Cursed Legion and found peace with his double identity.
RP Sample: See the first application.
Personality: Omnir has accepted his fate and even though he doesn't look like one, he feels like an Orsimer in every single way. He now just enjoys his life amongst the Orsimer and tries to help out the others with whatever problems they may have. History: Almost a year before the Second Great War started a group of Orsimer mercenaries led by Azar Gro-Dorraq got themselves hired by the Empire. Without clear instructions or goals the mercenaries travelled around through Empire held lands, seeking random jobs in cities and towns. Some months before the war began they finally recieved official instructions from the Empire, it became clear at this point that a major war was about to be fought.
Azar didn't want to become some kind of distraction and so he used his contacts around the Empire to increase the size of his mercenary band. The amount of men rose quickly, from thirty-five to almost one hundred when the war officially started.
It didn't took long for the mercenaries to obtain a fearsome reputation, something the Empire made use of on a regular basis. At its height the mercenary band numbered some two hundred fifty Orsimer and instead of acting as support for Imperial forces they themselves recieved the support from here on.
The mercenaries, driven by fame and blood, joined the Empire on their own accord during the invasion of the Summerset Isles. It was by far the most bloodiest battle they encountered and it was during this battle that they were given a name. "The Cursed Legion" they were called after they managed to shield off the enemy from the retreating army of Orsinium. The name referred to the Cursed Legion that roamed the land protecting the Orsimer during the time in which they had no home. The name came at a cost though, not only did the Cursed Legion lost most of their men and women but they also witnessed their first loss in battle.
After their retreat from the Summerset Isles the Empire claimed its victory and so the war ended, and with that legacy of the Cursed Legion.
Some of the seventy-three survivors returned home after the war while the remaining fourty-four returned to the life of the mercenary band before the war, taking jobs in cities and towns to earn some extra coin. The reputation still stood strong back then and with the many leftover soldiers from the war roaming around both the amount of jobs as their rewards remained plentiful.
As time passed by their reputation, along with the many jobs and high rewards faded away. The Cursed Legion became a shadow of itself, most grew old and died during the battles while others had families to take care of. Bit by bit it became smaller and smaller. Today the day there are only twenty-four remaining members of the Cursed Legion and only one of them served in the Second Great War. Most others are children from those who fought in the Second Great War and the remaining three became part of the Cursed Legion after the war.
Goals: Protecting innocent people from harm and restoring the legacy of the Cursed Legion.
