No, getting Britannia into this mess is asking for Britannian backing of the Dutch. The Dutch is a europower with plenty of friends, not to mention that Darul Ridzuan is strongly for the presence of Britannia as a sort of 'buffer' from well obviously you.

As I have said the main issue is the Dutch presence and solely the Dutch presence, and we'd like as friendly relations with the Britannians as possible. Besides you'd quickly prop up a communist state that would effectively make Britannia, me, and Ashkera quite anxious.

I'm trying to win the favor of Britannia so that their territorial claim at the tip of the Malaysian peninsula remains more secure from potential communist upheaval.

Seventh Imperial Army of Australia Sketch Military Data
Population: 246,144,768
GDP (billions): $14,448.7
Defense Spending ($NSD, %GDP): $693,500,000,000 (4.8%)
Permanent Personnel: 800,000
"Rolling Reserve": 769,000 / 20,300,000
Stage 1 Reservists: 461,000 / 16,600,000 (45%)
Stage 2 Reservists: 308,000 / 3,700,000 (10%)
Active Personnel: 1,569,000
Spending / Active Personnel: $442,001
Aircraft Carriers: 6

The core of Australia's military is a group of highly-trained professional volunteer troops, equipped with fine modern equipment produced by the nation's military-industrial complex - a tangled web of defense contractors, think tanks, Delegate Candidate Organizations, and Autonomous State Organizations spread throughout the country. Additional equipment orders are produced for the Greater Oceania Joint Economic Development and Defense Initiative, and Australia is the primary arms supplier of the Aceh Sultanate. Australia's military heavily leverages information technology. Australia's government has developed methods to accurately price and and quickly execute megaprojects since the 1950s and 1960s, which has prevented some of the multi-billion-dollar aircraft development boondoggles seen in some other countries. This expertise also translates to software projects, which allowed the successful completion of the battlespace software and hardware package ARCIS (Augmented Reality Combat Information System) in 2015.

The Internet, however, is flooded with false information about these systems, and about Australia's military in general. It isn't even possible to get an accurate account of current troop numbers, much less the cost of interceptor aircraft such as the JSF-106 - the primary DCOs forming the core of the legislature since the 60s deliberately obscure military funding to inflate it over its actual costs, and the extra money is used for various open and illicit government projects. There is even a circulating rumor (OOCly untrue) that the government's physicists have devised some sort of unstoppable superweapon which can annihilate an entire city at once.

It is necessary to perform either four months of military or civil service, prior to the age of 30, in order to obtain the right to vote. Twelve months grants additional privileges. These are the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Reservists, and they can perform the service at various times before the age of 30. The duration used to be longer, but was cut due to cost, both in wages and to the economy itself. Around 45% of those eligible opt for Stage 1, which mostly consists of training followed by refresher courses every few years, while 10% opt to spend the whole year, and may end up on deployments. (Around 30% of Australians opt for some form of civil service or a mix of the two, while 15% forego the ability to vote or are exempted for medical reasons.)

Unrelated: This reminds me, is there a true global internet?

Then we bite our venomous bite, splitting all of Asia between ourselves and the Japanese.

Technically they are backing the partition of DEI and Jochi. However the fact still remains. Do you want a larger communist hegemony? Or do you want a more benevolent and negotiable local power to reign in that region?
