Primarily a result of the semi-closed primary system, in which the voters tend to be longtime Libertarians, and more likely to know someone like Longwood, someone who has been a major party figure, first Libertarian Governor, and letting him score higher than in open-primary states like Missouri.
Tbh I anticipated a big win in Missouri, what with the direct appeal to non-Libertarians in Wellston, and the hourly airing of that speech over statewide television. I had totally forgone NC.
But I'm not complaining, NC was solid. But seeing as to how Nebraska is also closed, I'm expecting an even bigger win for Longwood there than previously expected.

The primary reasons for his winning Missouri were his better ground game in the state, and that he competed on the airwaves, he had a definite edge in direct appeal, while there was no definite winner-both had news, and Longwood had more of it, but Breckinridge also made targeted advertisements, generally worked the state better.
Missouri being near-ish the Great Plains gave Longwood a little of a boost in name recognition, and that combined with the airtime kept him close and kept Breckinridge from breaking away.

Interesting. Definitely valid.
When will we hold Nebraska?

I would like to put in another debate before then. Probably next week.
Neat.
I'm anticipating a win for Longwood, so long as he can keep an advantage over Breckinridge, because I feel he will be nominated in the Convention process due to his ties to the party since the 1970s, and name recognition within the Party, especially the large and powerful Reform Caucus.
