I don't have any doubt, but Utah did poll poorly for Trump since the start. He'll win it, but it'll be by tight margins.

I would be absolutely ecstatic if McMullin won Utah.

That would be insane. Unlikely, but insane.

And with that, I must to work. Parting is such sweet sorrow and all that. Actually, come to think of it, it is just sorrow. Shakespeare just does not cut it here.

I think the 28 percent that Trump has are his most devoted cohort they are not going to move. The Democrats in Utah are not going to move either, so things do not good.

Very, very interested in this RP. Since I love all things political, presidential debates, campaign rallies, party conferences, even House of Cards.

I don't know if I've already posted or not, this website confuses me. (Been doing RP for a long time, but new to NationStates)

Here's a potential VP for Reed.

Character Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Jovuistan
Character Name: Mike Acosta
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 65
Character Role: Governor of Nevada
Appearance:
Image

Character State of Origin: Nevada
Character Affiliation: Republican
Main Strengths: Popular swing-state Governor, experienced, good debater, good public speaker, could pick up many Centrist votes, strong on Immigration and the Economy.
Main Weaknesses: Considered Establishment, too moderate for some Republicans, too harsh for some voters, lacks foreign policy credentials, egotistical.
Short Bio: Mike Acosta was born to a Mexican Immigrant father, and an American mother, in Reno, Nevada. He did not have a major political upbringing, but his parents were staunch Republicans, and had voted for the Republican in every election in his lifetime except in 1964, where they did not vote due to Goldwater's extremeism. When he had graduated from the University of Nevada in Reno, he had moved to Elko at age 25, and became a Gold Miner.

He was first interested in politics in the 1980s, when he was heavily inspired by Ronald Reagan's optimism and philosophy of freedom and patriotism. He had gained some local headlines for his Conservative activism, and speculation began between a few reeaaaaallly bored local pundits that he would run for public office. They were right, as he eventually decided to run in the local district for the Nevada State Assembly in 1992. After winning a three-way primary race with 43%-36%-21% of the vote, he went on to win the General Election with 57.6%.

During his tenure as an Assemblyman, Acosta had sponsored 41 Bills that passed the Legislature, and became state law. Acosta supported Bills that were created to reduce state-level regulations on business, give incentive to invest in Nevada, and build up a working Voucher system for private Healthcare. In 2006, he was approached by state Republican bosses about making a run for Lieutenant Governor, as State Senator John Hibbins was already expected to head the Gubernatorial ticket. After a few days of contemplation, Acosta accepted the offer, and he easily dominated the primary with 69% of the popular vote. In the general election, he had defeated his Democratic opponent 50%-45%, a slightly better margin than Hibbins, who was also successful in his run.

Within months of Hibbins' term, things quickly began to take a turn for the worst, starting when Governor Hibbins approved a plan by the U.S. Department of Energy to find a place to build the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste site, which Hibbins opposed while in the Nevada Senate. Acosta himself avoided public discussion when it came to this apparent flip-flop, but was greatly confused when Hibbins had repeatedly stated that he was somehow still against the site. Hibbins' tenure went even further down the drain when a Woman named Sarah began claiming that Hibbins had sexually assaulted her back in 2005. Though she did not provide any direct evidence, the accusations still hurt his reputation, especially when he gave a bitter and insufficient response to the allegations.

The next year, it was revealed that Hibbins could have potentially used campaign funds in 2006 for personal use, which sparked outrage and an FBI investigation. Acosta was angry at Hibbins for these scandals, on top of the growing budget crisis. As the controversies grew bigger, in October of 2008, Acosta chose to resign from his position as Lieutenant Governor of Nevada. When asked why during an interview with the local Fox affiliate in January 2009, he proceeded to go into an angry rant, slamming Hibbins for flip-flopping, and for doing the many things he had allegedly done in recent years. With Hibbins' reputation completelt tarnished, the Governor declined to seek re-election.

Top Republicans desperatedly wanted Acosta to seek the office of Governor. Initially, he did not feel the need to run for the office, but was instead interested in the Senate seat that would be opened when the incumbent would retire in 2012. Eventually, he had changed his mind, feeling that Nevada needed him in the current crisis. WIP

As a centrist leaning liberal in the US context(and a hard right wing lunatic here), I hope that Trump picks someone who is a centrist, if somehow he wins(impossible).

He would do poorly on most of Fairfield.

Litchfield is rural and very white. Loved Bernie.
