Meh, rest of the speech was still solid, by my standards.

Yeah, just cut out what she said right afterwards. But it really was, by a historical standpoint. American wealth and society was booming post-WWII.

Balancing real-life actions, writing my own plethora of speeches, modifying the OP, two sets of telegrams, and another RP simultaneously.
I am cutting out that last one, but I am burying the needle.

Yep. Depending on the diction it could work for audio but they'll probably just have one of those silly floating quote-boxes. You know the type, those annoying ads with the worried female voice?
What do Democrats dream of? According to the DCCC chairwoman, "Massively increased taxes"
And then whatever other junk they throw in there

Campaign ads for you. That's more a Trump route, and statistics have shown that his ads actually played a very little role in his campaign. It might or might not play out the same.
Also, increased taxes have always been a Democratic policy. That's not a very new thing for them to roll out, though it'll probably work on the target demographic.

Yeah, but its wording. You say "Making the rich pay their fair share" or "Fair taxes on the 1%" or something, you don't say "massively increased taxes". It's all politicking, that whole polished shine and neutered word choice. People love "fair taxes". People don't love "massively increased taxes".

Well, the truth's the truth. I mean, would you not describe 100% INCOME TAX on top-earners as 'massive?' But hey, the flak will probably be lessened by the other speeches, so I'm not overly concerned.

"truth"
"politicians"![]()
I'm also pretty sure the tax rate wasn't that high then.
