Maybe we, or I, can help you with that."

Aaron smiled. "That'd be nice of you," he said, leaning on the bar. "What do you have in mind? I mean, it isn't as if random driving around town'll is the best idea ever- and I can't think of anything else." He chucked for a bit, but he decided to continue. "And the supernatural? The only thing I've encountered that's supernatural are biker gangs, werewolf biker gangs," he laughed, louder this time. "Of all the things you expect when you get up in the mornings. But this town seems stranger than it looks, so you never know..."

Werewolves bikers?...I remember my mother used to tell to me that we have relatives here in America who are bikers...are they...? And that is not something she wants to be remembered of, considering she is here as a means to escape from her overbearing werewolves family. Granted, she, at some point, have to embraces it. But that doesn't mean she wants to kill people.

"Heh...right, werewolves and bikers. Much less of a thing, probably. I think I can help you down at my office, Aaron. I have an office here, work as security consultant. I can bring you to the sheriff or the hospital, but there have been a brutal murder case, so I believe they are busy. There are...some books in my office. If you want I'll take you there," said Alicia, warmly, to Aaron. If this man has any involvement or information regarding these werewolves...well, it means they may or may not have involvement in Sleepy Hollow.

And she just cannot deny the growing supernatural feels around the town...

Katrina von Auguste

Supernatural exist here. Yeah...right. Katrina smirked inwardly at the notion of paranormal beings running amok. What's next? Tinkerbell?! Katrina finished her drink wiped her lips with the square napkin next to her. Getting up she pushed the stool in and waved to Owen and Iggy as she left. By sheer timing she had missed the whole exchange of Werewolf bikers and Iggy's eyes changing color.

Stepping outside she heard the sounds of many exposed engines coming down from the Northern end of Main Street. Looking North she a stream of bikers. The rattle of their motorcycle engines announcing their presence. One of the lead bikers raised his left hand to Katrina as he matched her look, giving the 'peace' sign with his fingers. A couple other bikers waved to people as they passed by. On their colors, their jackets that is, was various badges and stitching's. But the largest square on the back was a flaming skull with wings coming out of the sides. The inscription: Heaven's Devil's was bold underneath. They where heading South, probably to Kilkraine, the club owned the property and used it for rallies.

Katrina crossed the street and began walking home. Looking about her she spotted James Aubert at the crime scene. When do lawyers physically go to crime scenes? Something didn't sit well in her gut. She took her phone out and raising it, she snapped a picture, before continuing her walk. Moving past The Whistlin' Dixie which had opened up on the property adjacent to the Van Tassel manor. Looking the windows, window shopping if you well, she noticed her stomach rumbling. She hadn't ate anything since the early morning. Why not.

Opening the doors Katrina walked in.

Sarah was a bit flustered as Tara got up in a hurried manner. She managed a reply however, "Yes of course, and the last time I saw him was yesterday, why has a suspect been identified?" Sarah probably wouldn't get a straight answer but what could one expect from a mother whose lost a child.

The Grey Estate

Luke looked at Mary when she inquired about how many fang marks he had on his neck, "two but possibly four. It looked like the bite happened first and he struggled, tearing and rendering any exact teeth counting imprecise. The boy was probably brought to ground fast or fell backwards at the initial attack. I imagine he died shortly after." Luke paced a bit away from the window. "So we could be dealing with anything from a highborn to strigoi, and that's just vampires." Indeed, the different vampiric bloodlines had their own number of fangs and physical characteristics setting them apart. Those born from Vlad had two fangs, and liked to call themselves Highborns, though there was not anything necessarily elevating about them. Strigoi, while they tended to keep to themselves and travel in caravans, did possess four fangs. Indeed, both Hunters and Inquisitors would do well to know the characteristics of their foe in all manners. A cross for example would be shunned by a Strigoi out of primal fear, but a Highborn could care less. This is what made battling the supernatural so tricky, they were not like humans, you couldn't just shoot something till it died. There where specific things that could kill something and do nothing to something else. In all honesty Luke's thoughts at seeing the murder fell along the lines of, “A dozen more questions occurred to me. Not to mention twenty-two possible solutions to each one, sixteen resulting hypotheses and counter-theorems, eight abstract speculations, a quadrilateral equation, two axioms, and a limerick. That's raw intelligence for you.”

He glanced at Mary again before looking at the ring given to him by her staff, "We must tread carefully. No doubt whispers are already making their way to Rome and anyone willing to capitalize on any instability this may bring." Luke closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again, "Deputy Earp is here. I must take my leave."

A flutter of what sounded like wings and Luke was gone. Like he had never been there.

The Broker & The Lawyer

"What is a Lawyer doing at a crime scene I wonder? Out of papers to push?" said Lukas as he appeared out of nowhere behind James. "Sorry if I startled you. A bit of a silent walker." That's when Luke noticed the glyphs. Not with his physical eyes, with his metaphorical third, his senses. His essence picked up the signature of the devices. "Quite a lot of bikers out?" said Luke as he walked to the mouth of the alley looking South at the fading backs of the bikers. Must be a solid thirty of them heading to Kilkraine.

After watching the girl who had been sitting at the bar next to him beforehand leave, he turned back to the bar- tapping out some random tune in the process. "Hmmm...?" Aaron glanced at Iggy, noting something strange in her reaction to werewolves, so he decided to ignore this- there was plenty of time to find out later. "San Francisco, I guess, we may never know. Either way..." he paused, then turned to Alicia.
"That is a very nice offer," he smiled. "And I'd be thankful if you took me along, it may clear up one or two mysteries." But it may produce one or two new ones... he thought to himself. Why I was told to come here, being one; another being why I was attacked. I'm afraid any answers'll just produce more questions, those answers producing even more questions, and so forth. Though maybe I should focus on some more immediate tasks: new clothes, a place to stay, maybe even a job, eventually.

After a short while, Josh had gone upstairs to take care of Mishka. The excited little pitbull, only a year old, yipped and jumped around when he had gone through the door. She was such a little sweetheart. She had even decided to reorganize the living room by dragging pillows and blankets all over, the laundry from Josh's hamper all over the floor. Scratching her head, he starts to pick up around the apartment. Tossing a few of her toys every now and then, Josh gets about half of the disaster cleaned up before he hears the door downstairs open. Josh quickly tosses the folded blankets onto his couch, and walks downstairs, forgetting to shut the door.

Josh trips slightly on the last step, catching himself on the bar again "That friggin step again..." he thinks to himself as he composes himself. He looks at the young woman that had come in. She had long, flowing brown hair, and a very fair complexion. She had the look of class and wealth about her in the way she carried herself, but there was something about her that told Josh she wasn't just a blue-blooded prima donna. Taking a final drag from his cigarette before extinguishing it in the nearby ashtray, he stands, brushes himself off, and smiles warmly. He quickly clears the bar top and begins to greet her, when he is interrupted. Faster than lightning, Mishka bolts down the stairs and through the bar. She heads right for the young woman, panting happily. She sniffs at the stranger, wagging her tail all the while. She jumps up, putting her front paws against the woman.

"Mishka! No, bad girl! No jumping! I'm sorry darlin', don't worry, she's a real sweetheart. She don't bite."

Whistling sharply, Josh snaps his prosthetic fingers at Mishka, then points down at his side. Mishka comes to heel by his side.

"Sorry about that. Anyways, welcome to the Whistlin' Dixie. How might I help ya?"

Alicia nodded along the way. She's sure he's going to be fine on their way to there. "Sure, it will be a honor of mine. Come along," as she went out from the inn and into her car. Good sedan, good price. Not entirely modified, but perhaps an extensive one is modded along the way. Exhaust, power, those kind of things.

"It will be a bit far from this inn. Once there, we just have to hit my small library and you can explore all kinds of books and documents there. Address, identities, hell, even historical books on amnesia and hypnotism, and werewolves too."

"There will be justice in this case, Mrs Lucardo." Tara promised. There would be, there had to be, though she couldn't promise it would be the kind conducted in a court room - the secrets in this town were too big and she suspected this killer wanted them brought into the light.

"Do you mind if I take a look at the bakery's financial records?" she repeated. She was hoping there was a nice, sensible accounts book and she wasn't going to have to wade through thirty years of till receipts... not that she expected to find anything in the finances.

OOC: I'm assuming fluid timeline since James is not actually there anymore.

James Aubert

A bit earlier...

Turning his head quickly, James looked at Luke then studied him for a moment. Daisy Aubert, his aunt, suspected him to be a supernatural though no evidence existed. James had read all the dossiers she had compiled of individuals in Sleepy Hollow. The dossiers stated him to be a private man. From James's own observation this was true. Perhaps he was just that or hiding some other activities. People could say that James himself is a private man who only really talked to his employees and his clients. He himself definitely had extracurricular activities to hide.

"There's more to being a good attorney than being a good attorney. You have to be a good salesman too. Potential clients are impressed if you have an inside scoop on the case and I fancy myself an amateur detective. Police sometimes miss things." He said plainly.

"Quite a lot of bikers out?"

"Motorcycle clubs ride out in force once in a while. Part of their ritual. Their culture. Intimidating to some but generally harmless statistically. As the vast majority of motorcycle clubs are." James said as if he were reciting the federal tax code. "Nothing to be alarm by." He stated noting the direction they were going.

"I have to be getting back to the office now Mister Kasymir and oh....I'm looking for a book. de Lumine Symbola. Old rare tome but there could be copies. If you manage to get your hands on one I'd pay top dollar."

What James was describing was the Symbols of Light, another archaic glyph based spell book that he had been trying to find for a while. Rumor is it was devised by Inquisitors in the Knights Templar. Or was it the Hospitallers? Priests from the Temple of Minerva in ancient Rome? Or was it just some guy? James couldn't be sure. Although knowing the authors of a spell book was important as it helped to know what you were getting yourself into. Dark magic could be dangerous and being as novice as he was, it is possible he would not know he was using dark magic until it had already inflicted a horrifying adverse effect. Magic was everywhere but from what James understood in his studies more powerful spells required magical energy from a more specific source. Symbols of Light contained glyphs with special and powerful applications. The use of which involved tapping into the magic of heaven (or whatever benevolent divine plane was out there) itself James suspected. Either way, such an asset could not be ignored if it existed and worked. There was also the question of whether he could get it to work. Some of the stuff he had in his small collection of magical material still perplexed him. "Anyways, I should be going..."

Iggy waved at Katrina and went to washing the dishes. Noontime meant that the influx of customers was slowing down, taking quite a weight off of the demon's back. She carefully racked them to dry, feeling drowsy with the warm water. She always liked warmth, surprisingly. She liked sunshine, not usually expected of a demon. She liked to take walks in summer by the lake and lie down in the grass and just bask.

Liesle snapped out of her trance and scrubbed the cups and glasses spotless. The lake was probably not visitable anymore. Maybe it was where Jonah died...
The lake? Maybe she should visit it tonight.

"Yes, of course!" said Sarah as Tara asked a second time, and she once more replied in the affirmative. Getting up she went to the back, no doubt to her husbands office, and was gone a solid minute before returning with some files. They where files containing the scanned and copied financial records of the Business and family for the last ten years. Any further would require her husband to access one of the safe's were the records of the business had been kept since its founding in 1862. Each manila folder was clearly labeled with the fiscal year and organized using double column record keeping. Columns for income and expenditures along with short descriptions as to what the incomes and expenditures where.

Handing these to Tara Sarah she said, "Records for the last ten years. If you need any more I'll have them boxed over to the Sheriff's Department." At that Sarah turned and continued her mourning in private. Vanishing into the back of the bakery.

Katrina von Auguste

Katrina jumped at the unexpected attention from Mishka. This was quickly replaced by petting and adopting a playful voice of, "Good girl and whose a good doggy." Then Josh had snapped his fingers and Mishka dutifully took his side. "I was hoping to have lunch?" said Katrina with a girlish chuckle. Then the door opened behind her...

The Broker & The Lawyer

"Indeed." said Luke as he faced away from James. An answer to James two. The mention of the De Lumine Symbola, the bastardized Latin obviously denoted that it was post-Rome and post-Middle Ages. The Vatican had a large monopoly on works contrived during the Middle Ages or 'saved' (I.E pilfered) from the older pagan libraries. It's name did not bring flashes of the picture variety or any authors of note. The Hospitallers had a book known as the De Lumine Infernal but that was a book on demonology. Then there was the De Lumine Encarmine which was a book of light magic and lore but that was rumored lost during the Eighty Year's War during the Siege of Leiden.

"Afraid I haven't heard of that particular work. I will check my sources however. Well, best of luck on your own investigation Mr. Aubert." said Luke as he broke into stride. Crossing the street he spotted Katrina in The Whistlin' Dixie. Opening the door he walked in.

"Hello Katrina. Great minds think alike."

Katrina gave a smirk at that comment and waited to be seated. She wasn't sure if she should seat herself or not.

"I'm not really expecting to find anything, but it doesn't hurt to be thorough." Tara said, accepting the files, which were quite a bit heavier than she had hoped, "It looks like you are quite thorough." she remarked, hoping she wouldn't be expected to go through all of this. Accountancy was not one of her skills.

"Once again, Ma'am, I am very sorry for your loss." she said as she moved to leave, "And if you do think of anything at all, no matter how innocuous it might have seemed at the time, let us know at the Station."

She considered going back to the lawyer's office carrying to files, but she couldn't think of how she could make the hand over at all discretely so instead she took a detour via her cruiser, stowing the files safely in the boot before heading back to the offices of James Aubert.

This time she didn't try to make a scene at the front desk - she had done quite enough for one day, "Is Mr Aubert in?" she asked simply, "He sent me a message and asked me to head over here. Something to do with what I discussed with him earlier I guess?"

Patrice sent Tara to James's office as he instructed her to do beforehand. The paper with the tracking glyph on it was still out although the magical effects had long dissipated. On his desk was a long map of Sleepy Hollow and the surrounding area. A large ruler was placed on top of the map and James was handling it while studying the map.

"Tara. Thank you for coming." He said. "I was able to trace the magical aura emanating from the crime scene. It goes south." He pointed to the map and stated the exact degrees which was a southerly route. "The only thing of note is the Kilkraine farm where the Heaven's Devil's hangout. They are vampires. I think your original observation has some merit now. I commend you for it. At first, I was hoping to inspect the scene where Jonah was actually murdered but I think this is a better lead. Perhaps we should go tonight and observe from a distance." James suggested.

"Or you can go start your usual questioning as a police officer would do. But I'm skeptical of this. Maybe its best we don't tip them off that we are on to them. Also, that could put a target on your back. What would be your recommendation?" He genuinely asked. "And oh, did you get anything from the Lucardos?"

Tara walked over to the desk, twisting her head to inspect the glyph. She didn't know any magic, not that she was even sure she'd be able to pull it off if she did know the principle behind it. It was all quite fascinating... "Not a problem, I figured you must have a good lead, which as it happens is the exact same lead I got from Mrs Lucardo - Jonah had recently mentioned he was planning to join the Heaven's Devils. I also picked up the bakery financial records, as you requested - they are in the trunk of my car."

She tore her eyes away from the glyph, seating herself opposite James, "The police visit is a good way to get in and get to talk to someone, although getting a candid answer may be difficult without at least acknowledging the fact that I know what many of them are vampires."

"So we have independently found evidence that points towards this club. The trail was easy to pick up and didn't require too much work. My suspicion would be that either it was the work of this club and they are ready to make their next move pretty much immediately or it is someone trying to implicate the vampires and get a whole lot of hot-headed hunters banging down their door. I would also include, in that latter group, a hot headed vampire who wants to start a war and get back to having a virgin for dinner each night - The kind of person whose views might get them booted out of their coven and who might end up joining the Heaven's Devils."

She paused, before adding, "I feel the best option is for me to go in as a police officer and ask to speak to whomever is in charge. I will them lay out all that I know, including the fact that the club is full of blood suckers and point out that finding the perpetrator before an army of angry hunters with shotguns and stakes and burning torches is in his or her best interests. Hopefully everything will stay civil, though if it doesn't I will make sure to have, secreted about my person, a couple of stakes and, of course, I will have my police-issue pistol. I also propose wearing a wire for you to listen in on, so that if things go south you can set fire to the building. I feel it is more likely that the conversation will remain civil though."

It was uncanny how they came to the same lead through two separate ways. In terms of investigative work that was enough to chase a lead. However James was not completely convinced there was no red herring in play. Just that investigating the Kilkraine farm and the Heaven's Devils was the next step. The Lucardos could use some follow up work too. "Right. Bring those documents in. I'll go over them and get them back to you as soon as I can."

James leaned back in his chair after Tara described her plan. "That sounds a bit daring." He said clearly thinking it over. "You should know, I'm not much of a fighter if it comes to that. You probably should not rely on me as your cavalry." James told her bluntly.

"You know, I've never actually fought supernaturals. Mostly I investigate, observe and report. Rome sends a Hunter when its called for. But I've been trained in the basics. It isn't a bad plan. You may be able to gauge their reactions and take a peak around if they let you in. I'm just not sure tipping them off is a good idea yet but I suppose its worth rolling the dice." He opened up his drawer and was clearly shuffling some things around. Out came a box with James set on the desk. The cover was cardboard. He opened it up to reveal 50 rounds of .45 auto.

"I know a guy and had them special ordered. Silver hollow tip point. Never had to use them. Haven't spent much time at the range anyways. Some reports of Hunters say that the stopping power of .45 is preferred. Also the bullets don't go through people as easily as 9 millimeter. Better that the silver gets embedded in them." He slid the box across the table. "But I think you would know best."

"I'll copy the documents and send them to you once I'm back at the station." Tara replied, "I told Sarah Lucarno that I'd be taking them in there. If she speaks to another police officer who decides they would like a look and then that they aren't actually there..." she shrugged, smiling slightly, "An unlikely scenario, but one that could raise unwanted questions."

"As for my plan..." she grimaced slightly, shifting in her chair, "I don't like it. In any other situation I would say it was rash, dangerous and was putting information into the populace which I would prefer to keep a lid on. However, I believe that this killer will strike again and it is my absolute duty to do everything I possibly can to ensure that they are brought to justice as swiftly as possible. My conscience could not bear the weight of a life lost that I could have prevented."

Tara accepted the box of bullets with a slight bob of the head, "Thank you." she said. As it so happened she hadn't fought supernatural enemies before either. She had been trained to though she felt no particular need to put her training into action, "I would imagine my uniform would afford me some modicum of protection from hungry vampires... unless they want to start a war on the spot. I was not expecting any super-human feats from you... just to set fire to the building, which you can do with a can of gasoline and a lighter. From what I have heard vampires aren't overly fond of fire and I would hope it would sew enough confusion for me to make a speedy exit out a window or something."

"I personally feel the odds of things going horrifically wrong are fairly low." she added, "But I will bow to your greater experience in these matters. This is my first rodeo."

Iggy set her hands on the edge of the dish sink, her eyes half-closed as she stared into blank space.
What if they think I did it?
She shook her head.
What are you talking about? They won't find out. They can't hunt you down. You'll just run again.
She looked back at the bar, at the customers.
But who'll take care of the bar? Who'll help Owen?

......you're becoming fucking sentimental you twat.

If they find what you are, just run.

The Grey Estate, the foyer

The guards were not so impressed with the deputy's display of weaponry, being veterans of fighting the super natural themselves. The lead guard nodded. "Follow me." He said and swiftly left the foyer, making his way through a maze of corridors, up a staircase and then down some more corridors until they came upon a large, solid looking door. A click was heard as it opened, a man in the uniform of a butler standing there, ushering them into the room.

Mary sat behind her desk, still annoyed at the sudden intrusion of Lukas and the deputy, as well as the sudden vanishing of Lukas. She reminded herself to change her devils traps until she got that ring back. She turned her red eyes on the new arrivals.

"And how may I help the Sleepy Hollow sheriffs department today?" She asked dryly.
"We've lost control! Now for the love of Earth...and the Sovereign Colonies, we've got to do what's right."

Earp follows the man through the Grey mansion. Earp is glad they did not make a big deal of his personal arsenal; most people tended to become upset or even freak out at the amount of fire power he carried on his person and they would sometimes make a huge deal about it, often asking him what he was scared of to which he would reply "Not a dang thing".
Earp entered the room. He noticed that Miss Grey seemed annoyed. Earp smiled, swept his hat of his head in a flourish and bowed.
"Why Miss Grey can a man not just visit so as to gaze upon your magnificent beautify?"
Earp rights himself and places his hat firmly on his head, still smiling but now it is more of a cocky grin.
"I all seroiusness, it seems a kid was murder in town. Rather brutally and violently I might add. All the blood drained from the body. And then pictures were to every one in town."
Earp pauses to let the information sink in.
"It seems that you either have a rogue vampire or more likely, someone is trying to restart the war. Now that would be very bad. Now wouldn't? So tell me do you have any enemies that would try and do this?"

"Well, don't be strangers, come grab a couple seats!" Josh says with a warm and energetic smile, gesturing to the chairs at the bar. He walks behind the bar, and grabs a pitcher of water from the cooler. He pours both of Katrina and Luke a glass of water, then throws a a burger on the grill in the back for himself. He walks back to the bar, and leans against it.
"Well, if you're lookin' for lunch, I've got burgers, fries, salad... Hell, here, just look at these bad boys." Josh says, reaching under the bar to grab two menus, handing them to Luke and Katrina. "We've also got coffee, espresso, latte's... You name it. Tell ya what, since you two are my first customers, it's on the house."
"Anywho, what're your names? Mine's Joshua, and that little angel's Mishka," he says, gesturing to the dog who was now up by the front window, looking out.

Katrina von Auguste
"Well that's...very kind of you." said Katrina as she shared a glance at Lukas when the owner of The Whistlin' Dixie turned to grab water and menus from behind the bar. Katrina moved forward and took a seat with Luke following a minute later. Taking a seat Katrina spoke, "A burger and fries would be lovely." Katrina rested her head in her hands as she let out a sign. Today had been quite a day as the sun moved across the sky. Katrina was basically killing time at this point. But something kept nagging at her, a thought that had crept into her subconscious. A nagging feeling pulling her to do something she normally would never do. Something she would stay well clear of and leave to the professionals. Investigate a murder. Indeed, after a bite to eat she would go home, gather what she could, and do something totally crazy.

Taking a sip of water Katrina replied to the barkeep, "I'm Katrina, Katrina von Auguste."

Lukas "Luke" Kasymir

Pulling out the chair next to Katrina Luke hunkered down on it lightly. "Names Lukas Kasymir, most people just call me Luke, I own the pawnshop in town." He smiled and made a hand motion to the dog. Mishka responded with a wagging tail and lick of his hands. "So, Joshua, you new to town? I don't seem to call the Dixie being here long." Luke looked about the place with a face of satisfaction. It was a pretty cozy place. He could imagine it fitting well into the persona of Sleepy Hollow quite well. People cuddled up at the bar during cold winter nights, cheering and dancing during the summer, the kind of place that could grow on a person.

Truthfully Luke did not require food or drink to survive. He could do without. But all his time on Earth has learnt that the culinary arts is something humanity truly has mastered. That and a gratuitous creativity in regards to violence. Those two things while polar opposites where something humans could arguably call themselves artful masters.

"We'll drive separate. I'll take my car and leave a few minutes after you." He said thinking through the details. "A fire does not give you the instantaneous effect you may need. I have to pour the gasoline, then light, then it takes a bit for a the flames to spread." James pulled out his own 1911 pistol and another box from the drawer then started loading silver tipped rounds into 3 magazines. "Does your department issue ARs? 7 rounds a mag on a handgun is not going to cut it for covering fire. Lend me one and stay close to the windows. If anything happens you can drop and I'll put down covering fire. My aim is good enough to do that. Lead won't kill vampires but it should slow them down a bit."

"I don't like having to resort to conventional weapons. It just seems so crude and desperate. But this work isn't an exact science and we must be resourceful with what we have. And combat isn't in my job description mind you." He added plainly. "Now if you don't mind I the ear piece linked to your wire, AR and any spare kevlar you have in the trunk of that squad car would be appreciated." James looked at Tara wondering if the two of them were just going to blunder through this like the amateurs they clearly were.

Iggy took her phone and made a quick call to Owen, waiting him to pick up.
Come on...where'd he go...he's been gone for so long.
She bit her nails, starting to worry for her employer.

The Grey Estate

Mary raised a brow at the deputy, smirking slightly. "I have a rouge vampire? No, it sounds like you have a rouge vampire. This estate has one vampiric resident, and that is myself. And the last vampires I sired fell to the hammer and sickle of the Soviet Union in 1945." She chuckled. "As for enemies, none come to mind that wouldn't just attack me directly. Maybe you should bark up a differnet tree, hm?"

Earp looks at Mary Grey levelly for a minute then two and finally shrugs.
"If it truly is a simple case of a rouge vampire it will be solved with in a week. I think it is funny though how you would let such a rogue run loose in your territory, a clear affront and insult to your position and power. Vampires are no great challenge with the right weapons and a bit of planning...but a new war."
A crooked cocky smile twists Earps face.
"Now a new war...that would be...bad. Mortal vs. the magical round 2. Only this time the mortals will be better armed and prepared. Hunters will descend upon this place like an Old Testament plague. The Hollow Accords will mean nothing, which you happen to take shelter under. Old enemies coming to grind an axe on you and a stake in your heart. Should be fun. I will show myself out then. I suggest if you find anything you contact me or the sheriff."
Earp turns and heads for the door but stops
"Oh and if I do find out you were knowlying involved with this. I will be visiting again, but it will be much less for you Miss Grey...Have a nice day."
With that Earp exits the room and treks back through the mansion, pausing in the foyer to collect his gear which he quickly stows and then exits the mansion.
"Well Ariel that was a bust. But I think I have one more place to visit. Wanna come with me?"

"Katrina von Auguste, Lukas Kasymir, it's a pleasure to meet both of ya." Joshua replies as he walks back to the fryer, and drops a basket of home-cut fries in. After that, he places another burger on the grill, and leaves it to cook. As he returns to the bar, he nods to Luke.

"No sir, haven't been here long. About 3 days now, give or take the time it took me to move in. The Dixie was a dream I had while I was servin', and I figured this cozy lil' town was as good as anywhere. I had to find something to sink my retirement checks into, and here it is." Josh says with a wave of his prosthetic arm, gesturing to the bar around him. The lights above cast a warm yellow glow, mingling with the sunlight to cast a golden gleam off of the dark wooden counter top. The soft brown leather booth seats look warm and inviting, and the aged oak stools that surrounded the few tables and bar looked sturdy and comfortable. Strings of lights were hung around the Dixie, and a small jukebox sat by the door.

"A pawnshop, huh? I'll have to swing by sometime." Josh says while going through his checklist on his little notepad that he carried in his shirt pocket. He wondered if Luke sold any camping supplies, as he had been wanting to go camping out in the woods for quite some time now. Something about being out in nature just made him feel at ease. Sure, he liked the security of being indoors, but something about being out in the world just made his heart race. Besides, how could he not feel secure with that monster of a door in his apartment. He wondered if either of the two knew who owned the place prior to him, and decided to ask.

"So, out of curiosity, would either of you happen to know who owned this building before me? I found all of this weird voodoo lookin' stuff, and my door's got all of these... symbols all over it. Thing's damn heavy too, got a steel core I think. The listing didn't have much to go by when I bought this place, and I snatched it up without givin' it much thought." Josh says. He looks back at the grill, checking on the food, then back to Luke and Katrina for an answer.

"Now if you don't mind I the ear piece linked to your wire, AR and any spare kevlar you have in the trunk of that squad car would be appreciated." James looked at Tara wondering if the two of them were just going to blunder through this like the amateurs they clearly were.

"Have you never accidentally lit a can of gas on fire? That stuff really goes." Tara started, before apparently deciding there were some fairly obvious flaws in that plan, "Molotov cocktail?" she suggested.

I'll get what I can... no assault rifles unfortunately - Sleepy Hollow doesn't really have violent crime. Guess that changed last night. I don't think you need to worry too much. They might be vampires but they aren't soldiers. They will duck when you shoot at them. I would in their position - getting shot looks like it hurts!" Tara commented, with a sudden bright smile, "I can get you one of these though." she motioned at the service pistol she had holstered (a Glock-21 to be specific). It holds thirteen rounds in the magazine, which is double whatever it is you're carrying."

"I will nip back to the Station quickly and see what I can rustle up for you." she said, then did exactly that, leaving both of them to consider what exactly they had got themselves into.

Tara was still reasonably convinced that this case would not be one she walked away from, but the Holy See had charged her with the responsibility of protecting the world from evil and her job charged her with the responsibility to protect the people of Sleepy Hollow from those who would do them harm. She would do both, no matter the risk to her person. That was her job. She really should be paid more to do this...

Tara returned about 20 minutes later carrying a bankers box, "The files Mr Aubert requested." she explained to the secretary, "Really not sure why he wants all of this stuff. Guess your boss is thorough."

Of course, it didn't contain files. It contained a set of black leather gloves, more-or-less in James' size, a Glock-21 with three spare magazines (already loaded and one of which had some of the silver bullets at the top) and a kevlar vest. James might notice that Tara wasn't wearing one, she didn't want to tip anyone off to the fact that she was worried there might be trouble, although she had hidden a couple of sharpened pieces of wood about her person. They would be found in a pat down, but people didn't usually pat down police officers.

There was also an ear piece that linked to the wire she was wearing under her blouse, "So hopefully none of this will be needed. I have a nice chat with the big bad vampire and we get some useful clues... but its always good to have a backup plan." she said once she was let back into the office and the door was closed against.

She was also, rather obviously carrying a hip flask tucked into her belt and a packet of cigarettes in her top pocket. Neither seemed out of character, although the earlier conversation probably gave James a pretty good idea what Tara Cropper might consider doing with flammable liquid and a lit cigarette.
