Eh. I gotta looka round a bit.

Hmm. Maybe he could control bees but only while he's holding his breath for a really long time!

...yes.
Best combination of powers.

Here's another idea that you're free to reject if you don't like. If he can control bees, it would be really funny to have that control be by vocal command to each individual bee. Could see some funny moments with that if he has a swarm and he's trying to tell each and every bee what to do. (You, no, not you. The other bee next to you. Yes. Him. You and that other. No, not him...") etc.

Again, if you like it, it's yours. If not, scrap it and go with what you're planning on.

Name: Lilly Aberdeen
Codename: Hypoxia!
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Appearance:
Image

Bio: Well...what can I say? Lilly grew up in town, being a bit of an oddball st her old school. Not like she was weird or anything, just....okay, she was weird. Anyways, she spent most of her time in the water. Her parents always took her to the public pool. It was probably as a way to get rid of her while they do whatever the heck parents do when their kids aren't around (do they do things besides take care of kids?). Lilly's favorite thing to do in the public pool is to go under the water and see how long she could hold her breath. She's accidentally drowned a couple times from this, but that's all the reason why she wanted to be better! She needed to hold her breath for a long time. She could possibly save herself or others with this!
So, she proceeded to hold her breath underwater, continuously doing lung capacity exercises, and eventually, after maaany years, she was able to hold her breath for a whole twenty minutes! This was super hero-like! So, she used her superhero-like powers and donned a costume, which was basically her one piece swimsuit, and set off to save people with her amazing breath powers! ...eventually she joined the Infinites in Minnesota. So the saving people may not be happening too much.
Powers: She can hold her breath! For....twenty minutes. Not even more than the world record, but...she can do it. She's also a decent swimmer, though that's more experience than a power.

(Things in parentheses are OOC. The rest of this is IC. A form for your character to answer.)

Describe your abilities: I can hold my breath for a suuuuper long time! Here, try me! I bet I can beat you! ..oh, and I can swim.
Why did you become a superhero: Because I have an awesome ability, and I was to use it for the greater good!
What are your goals for the future: To save a whole bunch of people and be the hero that this town deserves! Oh! And I wanna beat that world record for holding your breath. I'm really close to it!
(Why is this character with the Minnesota Infinites. In other words, why do they kind of suck?): I mean....she can hold her breath, but it's not even breaking the world record. That and...her power is kinda limited, you know?
How would you describe your talents?: I can hold my breath for a long time, I can swim just a bit better than the average person, and I have some good endurance.
(What about your character's talents make them a D-lister?): ...swim just a bit better than an average perso you see what I mean, here?
What are your strengths?: Swimming, Holding my breath, running, lots of endurance, and I can do a wicked cannonball!
What are your weaknesses?: Uh...putting electrcity in water? Anything requiring me to hold my breath for more than twenty minutes, cold water, boiling water, getting out of the water on a cold day. That's the worst.
(Any other flaws? Maladjusted personality? Social issues? Unmarketable aspects?): Uh...is being overly confident about her abilities bad? If not...that's about it.
Why should you if given the opportunity be allowed to advance in the Infinites?: I mean, come on, all water based missions I got covered. That would deserve an advancement, if you ask me
(Why does the press hate or ignore you?): I mean...she can't even break the world record. Not necessarily newsworthy.
((I hope this is good))

I like Lilly very much. Definitely ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites!

Ok. So, I'm going to tell you the basics of the plot, and then after that in a final paragraph, some things you should know before you introduce Lilly.

Plot: The Minnesota Infinites meet every Thursday night at 7 p.m. After they're done, on Thursday nights only, they do their best to do heroic work. This arc is now in the 3rd and final chapter, which means the RP has lasted three weeks IC. The plot has seen a bunch of twists and turns, from chapter 1 seeing the heroes who were told about a bomb threat, only it proved to be a fake and a lure for a bad-guy named the Can-Can Man to attack them. That battle took place on the top of the Zeke Enterprises skyscraper, the only 50-foot skyscraper in the small town of Orient (pop. 2000). In ch. 1, the villains had to steal 50 cows for the main bad guy of the arc, Mr. Big (who only shows up in hologram form of his face and is very mysterious). Nobody knows why he wanted cows at all. Some people think it was just a zany idea the OP came up with for the villains to do something with. The villains were initially hired by Mr. Big to the tune of 1 million bucks each, but due to general incompetence, that number has now been dropped to $250,000 each.

In ch. 2, the heroes were asked if they would help move high-tech technology from the laboratory of another mysterious figure, a Dr. Juneau Hu. At the same time, the villains were told by their boss Mr. Big to steal the same tech and try to bring it to a place he was going to tell them about. There was a battle. It ended with the founder of Zeke Enterprises, Zeke McDonahuelly-Smythe-Jones (Zeke McDSJ for short), his awfully overweight, bitter cat Archibald, and a whole slew of soldiers in robotic battle gear seeing one of the pieces of tech freeze the heroes and villains in place. Zeke McDSJ said there was no Dr. Juneau Hu, and this warehouse was his property, and he now needed to move his experimental tech elsewhere so it would be safe.

Now in ch. 3, the heroes have been delivering medicine to the people of Orient, MN, which has been afflicted by the dreaded Wombat Flu. They have been helping the National Guard to do this, too. The villains have been told to lure the heroes into a trap where the Infinites will be humiliated. The trap is going to be at (you guessed it) Zeke Enterprises. They just made contact and have invited the Infinites to a party. The other villains have gone ahead to set up the food and party favors (stolen from a grocery store). Meanwhile, Mr. Big's plans are finally coming to fruition, and he has activated the OPERATION DOOMSDAY COUNTER, that is ticking down to something really really evil. The Infinites (and villains, if they want to help) have that long to stop Mr. Big before it's too late.

Why this all matters to you (aka, how to introduce Lilly) - The running gag here is that your character has been with the Infinites the ENTIRE TIME OF THE RP. ALL 3 WEEKS, ALL 3 CHAPTERS. She just was really quiet, or holding her breath the whole time, or whatever. So she knows exactly what's going on here. Even though you as the player are new to this RP, Lilly has been there the entire time.

So that's it. Feel free to read earlier posts, but that's kind of the basics right there.

I've already got some ideas. The power I really want to use is the ability to make mental duplicates--i.e., like a duplicate, but inside your body rather than outside of it. Useful for multitasking, not necessarily as useful for crime-fighting, hah. The duplicates are also prone to arguing with you.

That silly enough to work?

Go ahead and try. Something tells me he'll get tied up in Doc Bur-Ock's red tape and dragged along if he tries.

So should I have him jump out of the car or wait til it comes to a full and complete stop?

Whatever floats your boat. You could just have the car stop because it gets there, it would move things along.

Name: Rachel Williams
Codename: Prism
Age: 19
Sex: F
Appearance: Image
Bio: Rachel Williams was born with a strong desire to make a difference in the world, a desire she tried to realize since she was young.

Unfortunately, she was never very good at it. From the school days when she was too shy to go into the various leadership positions that might otherwise have been accessible to her, to the times in college where her budding powers caused her to go out partying whenever she tried to study (she's flunked out because of that), she's been just shy of achieving her dreams. After some time in therapy and a few medical examinations, it was discovered that she had mutated genetics, and a particular quack therapist convinced her and her formerly powered father that she might be able to harness her abilities at some point. In a way that was actually good.

And so, here we are...the town she's from isn't far away, and critically, it doesn't have its own super-team. (Plus the other ones wouldn't take her)
Powers: Mental duplication--the ability to split off additional functioning minds inside of her body, which can make her body do things whenever they want. There are some recurring faces (so to speak) among the minds, although minor details about them will sometimes change with new duplication efforts.

(Things in parentheses are OOC. The rest of this is IC. A form for your character to answer.)

Describe your abilities: Well, uhm...I have the power of mental duplication, and...

Basically I can go ahead and watch stuff she--

(At this point she covers her own mouth)

Sorry.

(Glare going straight down)

Sorry about that. (Nervous laugh) That was one of my duplicates. Sometimes they can come out during stress...I've gotten a handle on that though. Really.

(brief pause, followed by the opening and closing of her mouth)

Anyway, yes, I can...well, basically I can make duplicates of myself in my mind. Once they've been made, they can do things on their own if they like. It can actually come in handy sometimes. (Nervous laugh)
Why did you become a superhero: (eye roll followed by undirected glare)

Well...you know what they say about using your gifts, right? I want to be able to help people, and this is my special talent that I can do that with.
What are your goals for the future: Well...I hope to develop my abilities more. I've been told that with practice I could do very well someday.
(Why is this character with the Minnesota Infinites. In other words, why do they kind of suck?): See bio. :p She/her powers screwed up living a normal life and it was recommended/pushed onto her that she try the superhero trade.
How would you describe your talents?: I am perceptive, willing to work hard, and, uh...I did train for 3 months in Karate. (slight laughter follows)
(What about your character's talents make them a D-lister?): Maybe there's potential in these, but none of them translate that well into actual deeds. She's only had maybe a year on this entire path and it's not clear that her powers aren't a dead end for her.
What are your strengths?: Uhm...well, I am a creative person.
What are your weaknesses?: I tend to be a bit perfectionistic, at times.
(Any other flaws? Maladjusted personality? Social issues? Unmarketable aspects?): She's kind of bad under pressure in her default personality, tends to overprepare sometimes. More seriously her duplicates aren't always on the same page as she is, and while 90% of the time they behave, sometimes a duplicate will pop out suddenly.
Why should you if given the opportunity be allowed to advance in the Infinites?: Well...

Have you seen the people you already hired?

Stop that!

Sorry. (Nervous smile) Uhm...well, I did say my powers could develop. Oh, and I'm willing to work. If you need someone to get a job done, I'm your gal!
(Why does the press hate or ignore you?): New to the scene, powers aren't that useful...there's not much for the press to do.

The only problem is that I have to come up with a name for him. Part of me wants to have him be called the Muffin Man, or Pastry Man. I might go medieval and call him Sir Bakealot.

No, I work at BK. The MDs in my town isn't the best in the world, but I like McDonald's.
