It did, but was kicked out in the middle of the 17th century due to successful british-supported dutch conquest, starting from the northeast. True, some iberian influences remain, especially through jesuitic presence in the southeast and south.

Then I don't need to change view of Brazil. To the chinese, all Europeans look the same. Portuguese, Dutch, English.. they all look the same and one colonial empire is the same as the other. Until they are within China's immediate vicinity, then we have an issue.

Its not that you are disliked, its that Chinese Foreign Policy at this point in history is a bit hands off. You are far away, but you have ports facing us which permit us to have our informant network there so that we can learn about others. They aren't there to spy on just you. Mostly to keep tabs on the entire continent, you are just the lucky country that gets to play host to a mass of chinese immigrants.
