History of Nation: The confederacy began existence in 1836 and went through initial turmoil in the first five years due to wars of independence by rebel forces. The first head of state, titled “Supreme Protector”, was the Bolivian president, Marshal Andrés de Santa Cruz. The original confederacy comprised the fractured North and South Peru and the nation of Bolivia. During colonial times, the territory comprising the Audiencia de Charcas, also known as Alto Perú, now Bolivia, was an integral territory of the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru from its creation. In 1776, it was administratively severed and became a province of the newly created Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. Still, for geographical and historical reasons, it always remained closer to Lima than to its administrative capital, Buenos Aires, in present-day Argentina. The Peru–Bolivian Confederation was the only effective attempt to unite them and has served ever since the successful defeat by the rebel Simon Bolivar for which Bolivia retains name sake but the confederacy no longer officially recognizes, if for only a brief moment due to pressure from rising tensions. It was not until the final calming of war and rebellion that peace could be achieved for the confederacy which eventually became a unitary state in 1873. Since then elections have been instituted for Peru, with the official name sake for the land still being the confederacy while there are two official states in the union (Peru and Bolivia).

By 1880, a new era had been ushered in that championed more conservative values as the Partido Conservador (Conservative Party) held control from 1880 to the present day of 1891. This would mark the very first politically stable time for Peru, albeit by a small electorate of roughly 30,000. Allies would prove to be the next mission for the confederacy as relations with Spain were still the primary mode being that the confederacy maintained a weak but consistent relationship with the Spanish crown. Issues with the people of Peru persisted, as wealthy business men ushered in an era of conservative ideals that would improve Peru but maintain unpopular rulers. Under the Conservatives, the high world price of silver and increased production of copper, lead, zinc, and tin combined to create a period of relative prosperity. The Conservative governments continued to encourage the mining industry through the development of a rail network to the Pacific coast. The growth of commercial agriculture, such as the development of the Bolivian States natural rubber resources, also contributed to a stronger economy. Agricultural production in the highlands increased as the haciendas expanded in some regions. The latest economic accomplishment was to extend the Antofagasta-Calama Railroad to Oruro in 1889. The extension of the railroad drastically reduced the cost of transporting minerals to the Pacific coast. Economic growth was skewed, however, as railroads that were built to export minerals started to bring imported wheat from Chile that hurt local industry. For now the country is growing but by no means is a super power and should the conservative ideals of the confederacy persist, local industry will suffer in the increasingly open economy while the people believe to be under an Aristocratic Republic.

History of Nation: Instead of accepting the Austro-Hungarian Compromise, Hungarian separatists formed their own nation in 1867, which led to the fall of the Austrian Empire. Hungary, now with a large army and no real enemies, quickly snatched large swathes of former Austrian territory, forming a large nation tucked between Russia and Germany. Soon the Kingdom was solidified as a power when its current leader, Joseph III, assumed power. The army was built into a real fighting force, capable of resisting the massive powers around them, and the nation began fully utilizing the vast economic potential of their territory. The Kingdom prepares to enter the 20th Century as a staying power, that will bring all of the Balkans under the Hungarian banner.

It's alright, but the history has to fall in line with countries around it. Austria was quickly taken after the German unification war, and Czech was also obtained by the Germans. A deal was made that the Hungarians would get the rest of the land. The Hungarians are on good terms with the Germans from how the deal was concerned, as it was mostly Germanic peoples who were annexed by Germany, not the Hungarians.

History of Nation: After the fall of the old Roman Empire, many of the Germanic regions became a large collection of city states, bickering and squabbling over land gains. During the 1860's, a man by the name of Victor Von Wolfe (Or as he goes by now, simply Von Wolfe), sought to unite these peoples under one flag. Beginning in the more southern regions of the area, he began his conquest southwards, until he finally finished his dream by 1868, when he conquered the last bits of the squabbling kingdoms. 1870 came by, and the Republic of Germania was officially founded on the first day of that year. Then, the next year, the shaky Austro-Hungarian empire was invaded by Germania, with disapproval from their neighbors. The chancellor defended his actions, claiming that the Austrians were, "Just as much German as they were." A deal was struck however by the two nations that Austria, and part of Czechoslovakia would be under German rule, while the rest would be given to the Hungarians. Over the course of the next few years, the chancellor and his newly formed republic began to set up colonies in unclaimed lands in Africa and the pacific.

Currently, the new government strives to have better trade, military, and overall relations with other countries, as they do not have virtually any allies. The old kingdoms and remnants of royal families have been swept away in the wake of the new order, and the people rejoice over it. Much of the new laws passed focus on restoring infrastructure and societal issues that the kingdoms so long neglected. They are ready to face the future, and what it has in store for them.

RP Sample: The chancellor sat at his desk reading over a few new pieces of legislature. Outside, it was snowing, as it was the middle of winter. He shivered as a cold breeze blew through the open window. The room was dark, save for two small, simmering candles in the black darkness of the space. The desk itself was made out of rich, darkened wood, crafted nearly one hundred years ago, when the structure he sat in was created. A clock hung by his desk, and it gave a small little 'ring'.

The tired soul looked at the clock above his desk. 10:30 PM it read. I believe I'm working myself to death...He thought to himself. Heh, so much work, not even enough time to visit my... he cut himself short at the thought of his niece. Now that I think about it, I haven't even contacted her for quite some time. He rubbed his chin. I suppose it is my task and duty to remedy this dilemma.

He slowly put aside his papers and picked up a pen, and a blank sheet of regular parchment paper.

"Dear sweet niece,

It is another cold day in the northern regions. I hope you are having a bit better weather than us. I hope you can forgive me for not being there at your home for Christmas, work on our legislature have prohibited me from even leaving the city. Your brother is safe and sound, and is being taken care of in the hospital. I know you are worried for him, but the doctor's say he will be fine. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and that I can see you again soon.

He put the pen down, satisfied with his penmanship,, and folded the letter. With that, he put it in a compartment labeled, "Outgoing mail."

He looked at his stack of legislature and parchments with distaste. "Next... taxation laws. This will be enjoyable."

Basically a bunch of boring crap has happened in the small American nations. Mostly all the posting has been the American players fucking around while the Europe players are forming alliances getting ready for that First World War.

Nah, that's bullshit. There are socialists in Northeastern Iberia. New England became socialist and Maurania has socialists. You can't stop socialism because the teachings of Marxism is the truth while others were blinded from corrupted imperialism and corrupted capitalism!

Aye, but it doesn't affect me. I'm sure the America players care since you're on the same landmass but since I'm across the pond it doesn't really concern me. Until some invention happens I'll mostly be skipping American posts unless they want a trade deal or something with me.
