I'm referring to the Byzantines back then. They were angry, having to lose so many men and come to the brink of extinction is pretty bad.

Imagine if California was pushed all way back to it's capital by Mexico and only through the help of the American allies do they get their place back in the world. I bet the Californians would want vengeance for their fallen brothers.

I think you're all putting a bit too much importance on religion for something set in the time frame of the turn of the century. By now nationalism is by far a more important factor than faith in relevant tensions, so basically every power for itself.

I think you're all putting a bit too much importance on religion for something set in the time frame of the turn of the century. By now nationalism is by far a more important factor than faith in relevant tensions, so basically every power for itself.

....You got a good point there. I still feel like if there's gonna be a World War it won't be over petty religion, it will be over those dang Reds over in France. Like I said, Byzantium only hates the Turks and are just following the rules set by their forefathers about Islam. As time goes on, people will become more tolerant.

Hardly, seeing as the powers favour me, and why would Russia be mad? They would get the port of Sevastopol, I have no interest in it, and that would give them a warm water port, I'm not interested in spreading Islam to Europe, it would be impossible, retaking Arabia would be possible.

I'll spare Constantinople, but any city I reach is quite fair game, I'm going to take the lead from good Orthodox example, destroying cities.

Also, I won't damage Jerusalem, as I assume you weren't cruel enough to destroy the Islamic buildings there

1. How does France know I claim all of Western Europe? I haven't made any public announcements to my people nor to any country.

2. How does France know what I wrote to Iberia? Iberia wrote to me (at first) in good favor hoping to be friends, thus I responded accordingly. How would France know that I asked for an alliance Ic wise?

I think we had a misunderstand here.

1. The Byzantine's goal was quite obvious. The President doesn't know if the Byzantine Empire claims ALL of Western Europe but since the European theatre is going intense, the President became vigilant and just point out that the Byzantine Empire MIGHT claimed all of Western Europe because of history, you do know that the Byzantines wanted to retake Western Europe in order to reformed the Roman Empire? That's history and everybody knows it because of the Enlightenment and the Romance but that doesn't mean that the President KNOWS that the Byzantines "claimed" all of Western Europe.

2. The President doesn't know what you wrote on Iberia ICly. I mentioned in the history of my app that the President is a very skilled strategist, he pointed it out that IF the Byzantine will ally with Iberia, they're going to regret it but that doesn't mean that the President KNOWS what you wrote on Iberia.

Unless if your retaking Western Europe is a hyperbole or not, it's still part of the history. With the Byzantines are still here, we all know that they could retake Western Europe anytime to refound the Roman Empire.
