I still think it's tragic that Mecca is destroyed. So much culture and history, gone because of petty squabbles. I can imagine that ISIS might do the same to a place like Jerusalem, which makes it even more tragic.

From 1600-1783 Byzantium did a massive convert or leave. You either became Orthodox or you were kicked out. Some fled into the deserts while others were put to the sword.

Never said we were better than the Ottomans. Also when I mean Muslims I'm referring more to the Middle East Muslims, not all Muslims. (read more in my app). While yes, it did lower my population, and gain the hatred of Islam I do also own almost all the Holy Sites (not counting Mecca since we sacked and destroyed the crap out of it). Which gets a pilgrimage tax for anyone coming to the holy cities on pilgrimage.

Not exactly. They were given a choice, convert or leave. Which in resulted in many, many uprisings in the 18th century. Like we're talking a lot of uprisings in the Middle East. Most Muslims are mostly nomads in the deserts now gathering their forces. I plan on RPing a massive Islamic uprising in the Middle East. It will split the Empire in two, and will cause Byzantium to stop what ever they're doing to focus on the uprising.

Should be fun.
