History of your country: Oklahoma was smaller after the devastating "Great Calamity", which the Oklahomans refered to it as. It was raided many times by bandits. However, one day changed the city. In 2200, a group of Grangelanders from Kansas rebuilt the Oklahoman Senate and formed a republican government to govern over Oklahoma City and areas around it. The Oklahoman Republic waged war against neighbouring towns, bandits and wild animals. A Proconsul governs Oklahoma with help from the Oklahoman Army, the Oklahoman Senate and several villages. • (Personal Name): Seth Aeneas Beniamin
• (Physical Appearance): Picture
• (History): Seth Aeneas Beniamin was born on 22nd October 2631, in Plousiakti (formerly known in pre-calamity times as Halifax), Fergesia. His father was a sergeant in the Fergesian Navy Police Service, while his mother was a nurse in the Fergesian Ground Army Service. Seth was also the third and last son (whom of which his two older brothers worked as construction workers) and youngest brother to three sisters (who were finishing up secondary school and getting ready to enlist in the FDN at the time of Seth's birth). Seth's family lived in the uptown areas of Plousiakti; which was one of the most crowded areas in all of Fergesia (which was due to the Fergesian communal apartments called, House Blocks). Though as much as Seth's family took pride as a largely militaristic family, Seth chose a more more pacifist upbringing rather than becoming a successor of his family's military pride.
Seth faired well during his early years in school, and even when it came to secondary school, he was a labourous student among his peers, especially in literature and history. Unfortunately, while his sisters were attending military service in the FDN, Seth decided to stay in school and pursue his studies in politics and economics (whom he exhibited astonishing grades despite experiencing hardship during the later years of school before graduating at the age of 25 years old). As an intellectually resiliant student from graduation, Seth was shortly chosen by the State Directory upon his graduation as one of the best politicians for the job. Unfortunately, his progress and achievement were shunned to some extent by his parents, due to the fact that Seth disliked the xenophobic nature and extremist attitude of Fergesian militarism; however, this did not mean Seth entirely hated Fergesian militarism, since he otherwise saw Fergesian militarism as the only way that Fergesia can defend itself against the outside world. Worst still, when Seth became a member of the Fergesian Intelligentsia and the State Directory, as of the year 2656, Fergesia was slowly beginning to show signs of economic decline just a few years after claiming the entire the Nova Scotia island.
Seth would not be eligible for becoming Prime Consul until he had reached the age of 30 years old in the year 2661, and even then, he and his pairing Prime Consul lost the election by 189-211 votes against his rivals (30th Prime Consuls). Again, Seth and his pairing Prime Consul lost the 2663 elections by 177-223 votes; however, by late 2664, the 31st Prime Consul (Prime Minister) died in office at the age of 47 due to a stress-related stroke while serving the other half of his term; thereby leaving Fergesia temporarly leaderless until the next election in 2665. This time, on the election day of 5th May 2665, Seth was elected into office along with his pairing Prime Consul (Melaine Erato Epirus), and being the youngest Prime Consul to be elected into office (Seth was 34 years old when he was elected in 2665). Unfortunately, Seth and Melaine inherited the economic, military, and infastructual issues that the 31st Prime Consuls had left beihind. Now, as of the year 2666, Seth and Melaine stand as the current official leaders of Fergesia and are halfway through their single 2-year term.
Flag/Logos of Nation:• (Flag): Official Flag
• (Description): The Fergesian flag is consisted of nine horiztonal stripes alternating from cyan and white. In the cyan square field canton, there is a golden gear with twelve sprockets. The Fergesian flag also comes in a naval ensign variant, in which it is designed as a white flag with a cyan coloured Cross of Saint George, and the golden gear placed in the canton.
History of your Country:Fergesia is ethnically unusual for own kind in which the entire settlement is purely comprised of a Greek population; which is surprising since these immigrants actually travelled all the way from what can only be believed as hundreds of thousands of kilometres, not only from the southeast USA states, but possibly from overseas as well. Even so, the Fergesian's history before arriving at the Nova Scotia island is unknown, but what is known is that the Fergesians arrived in southern Nova Scotia around 2547 (and according to local legend, the Fergesians arrived on a dark rainy morning somewhere near the last five days of October). The Fergesians were no less than 1,720 Greek refuges who have survived their journey to Nova Scotia in hopes of start life and civilisation all over again; out of approximately 30,000 others who have perished. Fortunately, the Fergesians happened to have gotten lucky when it came to settling down in Nova Scotia, since they started a settlement just northeast of a gold mine (also known formerly in pre-calamity times as, Catcha Lake).
The name Fergesia ("Φεργιά"), was coined by a majority of the 1,720 refuges when they discovered that their settlement sat not too far away from not only a gold mine, but also active tectonic areas. Subsequently, the Greek word for Fire ("Φωτιά"), Labour ("Εργασία"), and Land ("Γη"), was commonly spoken among the Tyrussian people; but the name was not adopted until approximately ten dozen Fergesian people began to combine the words together as Fergia ("Φεργιά") under a movement in what was called, the New Hellenic Shift ("Νέα Ελληνική Βάρδια"). This movement did not change the Greek language in a significant way; however, the movement paved the way for the creation of both the Fergesian civilization, and the Hellenic-Americanist religion. Primairly, the New Hellenic Shift was actually a time in which the Greek Language began to develop its vocabulary seperate from pre-calamity Greek (aka, European Greek).
By 2570, the New Hellenic Shift finally came to an end as Fergesia developed from a permanent camp of survivors to a small yet quiet city-state community that was no more than ten kilometres big in territorial size. Fergesia would only remain as a peaceful city-state for only a five years until the growing population began to demand for more land and food. In the middle of 2575, the young city-state of Fergesia would make one of the most daring acts of curiosity that would later lay the current territorial boundaries and political foundations of Fergesia; the exploration of the Nova Scotia island. It was a mission that no Fergesian would dare to commit without being killed by the natives and creatures that roam the island; however, a group of Fergesians would not shudder to these dangers. These Fergesians were known in Fergesian as, "Απόλλων Πρόγραμμα Εκστρατεία των Ανθρώπων" ΑΠΠΕΑ (or otherwise known in English as, "The People's Apollo Expedition Program", PAEPROM). Created as a band of Fergesian explorers and scouts, who were open-minded and eager to learn new knowledge to improve the Fergesian culture and civilisation, PAEPROM was tasked with undertaking one of Fergesia's most important missions in its history.
Though PAEPROM, however, was not so easily liked by the Fergesian people because of their rather childish and radical ambitions to transform Fergesia into a greater and mighty nation-state (an idea that was considered both extremist and imperialist at the time). Plus, PAEPROM was comprised of young people that were in their early thirties or even younger, with the youngest PAEPROM member being 16 years old. Nevertheless, despite the criticism and doubt brought by the Fergesian's people, PAEPROM set out towards the lands of Nova Scotia in hopes of finding new knowledge for the Fergesian civilisation. Though while PAEPROM was out into the cold badlands of Nova Scotia, another group of similar ambition began to brew within Fergesia that would lay the foundations for Fergesia's workforce and ideology.
Before PAEPROM was formed, another group called, the Democratic Labour Front ("Λαϊκό Δημοκρατικό Λαϊκό Μέτωπο", or also abbreviated as "ΔΜΕ" or "DLF"), had rose up as a local organisation of farmers, miners, and middle class people of Fergesia at the time. The DLF was given its name as being the Democratic Front in which many people would later join the union as a way of exhibiting their resentment towards the ineffective and slow Fergesian government, and the demand for change at the time. The Fergesian government at the time was although a direct democracy, real power was actually held in the hands of a small council, which proved to be ineffective due to its extreme laissez-faire attitude (as exemplified by the fact that Fergesia had an oligarchy consisted primairly of rich landowners at the time), low effeciency and productiveness, and (quite literally) its small size (consisting of only fifty members at the time). The DLF was aimed at transforming the small democratic Fergesian government into a more active and dynamic role in the lives of the Fergesian people, and just five months before the PAEPROM was formed, the DLF got their wish.
With the radical yet good intentions of PAEPROM wanting to find new knowledge for Fergesia, and the DLF's demand for the Fergesian government to intiate reforms, Fergesia's democratic government increased in size from fifty members to 110 members; however, shortly afterwards, the Fergesian government also took action in taking Fergesian buisnesses and industries under state control in order to relieve work stress upon the Fergesian people and farmers as well. Unfourtunately, this was not enough to satisfy the DLF (and the people later on) because of Fergesia's economic backwardness and the lack of a true form of military (since Fergesia only had a small yet inadequately trained and equipped militia at the time in 2580s). In addition, it did not also help with the fact that the upper class Fergesian people were infuriated with their buisnesses and land being taken away under swift government control, which lead much of the Fergesian upper class to rebel and attempt to sabatoge the DLF's efforts. By 2587, there seemed as if a Fergesian civil war would begin to break out as a war between profit and reform; however, it never came because of the PAEPROM's return to Fergesia after spending twelve years out in the faraway lands collecting knowledge and intelligence about the post-apocalyptic world outside of Fergesia. Their report about the world outside of Fergesia was although negative, PAEPROM and eventually the DLF themselves turned it around when PAEPROM unveiled several packages of pre-war books they found throughout throughout their expedition. Their findings were welcomed with enthusiasm by the DLF, and despite losing only 2/3s of their original members (out of 200 members who took part in the expedition), PAEPROM were honoured by the people as heros of Fergesia for their bravery, courage, and ambition to transform Fergesia.
To celebrate PAEPROM, the DLF and the Fergesian government encouraged the new knowledge to be placed into action to improve the way of living throughout all of Tyrussia; however, as much as PAEPROM were looked up to as heros of Fergesian, it was behind closed government doors that the DLF were undergoing an internal coup'd'etat in order to allow PAEPROM's new knowledge to be put to work as soon as possible. In 2591, the council that was first formed upon Fergesia's foundation in 2547 was eventually disbanded and quickly replaced by a stratocracy created by the DLF and PAEPROM under the new ideology called, Modern Spartanism. Once the direct democracy was eliminated from the government and the ideology of Modern Spartanism was established within the government, the DLF renamed itself as the State Directory (or more commonly known in Greek as, "Κράτος Κατάλογο", or in Greek abbreviations as, "KK") and becoming the sole ruling political power throughout all of Fergesia, while PAEPROM renamed itself to what is now known as, the Fergesian Intelligentsia ("Φερνικης Διανόησης", or in Greek abbreviations as, "ΦΕΔΙ"). The Intelligentsia and the Government, at this point in 2601, now began to prepare Fergesia to steadily transist into a regional power when the first pair of Prime Consuls ("Πρωθυπουργού Πρόξενοι") were seletected into power by the State Directory. Though these Prime Consuls would never get to see their plans go into action during their two year term, they would pave the way for Fergesia's path of expansion known as, the Wrath of the Nemian Lion (aka, the Nemean Miracle).
Since the foundation of Fergesia, most of the Fergesian people had been living in tents or wooden houses that stood very little chance against rain (for huts), wind (for tents) and snow, and to make matters worse, Fergesia's steady population growth from the increase in crop yield had spelled for a severe housing shortage (with an approximate rounded total of 65,000 Fergesians now living in the Fergesia city-state by the year 2600; however, 60% of Fergesians were without proper housing). The young stratocracy was met with this first major challenge upon electing the first pair of Prime Consuls into office, and their response was slow yet effective. The solution was to build three specialised housing facilities called, House Blocks ("Σπίτι Μπλοκ", or in abbreviations, "ΣΜ"), to house not only almost every Fergesian, but also jumpstart Fergesia's welfare program into action. Under the ideas and beliefs of Modern Spartanism, starting with the Fergesian men and women from youngest to the oldest (from 16 to 50 years old), the government began to place the entire Fergesian city-state at work in constructing new roads, bridges, and even new expansions of the actual Fergesian city itself. Fergesia, by this time, has never experience its entire population from being completely employed and undergoing ambitious construction despite Fergesia's small size. Though these labourous duties and demands, however, came at a price later on that would shape Fergesia's current political territories.
By the beginning of the 2620s, the Fergesian economy was now desperately hungry for land, and capital (albeit in the form of raw minerals and materials). In less than several arduous decades, Fergesia has experienced a massive increase in construction, which was exemplified by its booming textile industry, mining industry, and metalworks industry; however, overpopulation remained a critical concern as the Fergesian city-state was constantly experiencing territorial expansions to adequately house its people. In addition, construction projects, such as, foritifactions and castles were still on hold due ot the near perpetual lack of capital and land. In correlation with territorial expansions, by the late 2620s, Fergesia had already began to expand northward, and before long, the sight of intertwining roads and farmland patches became a common sight throughout the northern Nova Scotia countryside; however, Fergesia's territorial expansions were moving at speeds unheard of (but compared to pre-calamity times, Fergesia's expansionist movement is slow by comparison, and it is nowhere close in becoming a modern tiger economy). Anything that got in Fergesia's way would be turned into busy economic zones or agricultural farmland, but even with such expansion and progress did not come without running into problems with the Nova Scotia natives.
At the time, safety and protection was a major concern in Fergesia. To name a few incidents, in 2613, Fergesia's new agricultural aquirements in the northwest territories came at the cost of 60 Fergesian militiamen and injuring 120 others due to spontaneous insurgencies committed by the native Nova Scotia poplation. Five years later, in 2618, Fergesia narrowly escaped a terrible harvast due to unaccounted snowshoe rabbit infestations and an uncontrolled worm populatioin particularlly in both forage and fruit crops. Lastly, for what could have been the worst disaster in Fergesian history, in 2621, Fergesia had a close call with a roadside ambush that almost could have resulted in the assassination of the 20th Prime Consuls; however, the assassination was averted due to the fact that the 20th Prime Consuls were traveling during the daytime, and the fact that their bodyguards were on duty.
From these few particular incidents, in 2621, the Fergesian government responded by replacing the militia with a much more larger, well-trained, equipped, and organised military called, the Fergesian Democratic Forces ("Δημοκρατικών Δυνάμεων Φερνηες", or in abbreviations, "ΔΔΦ" or "FDF"). Unlike the Fergesian Militia, the FDF was very distinctive by the FDF's usage of standardised uniforms, defensive military traditions, and the versility that the FDF had to offer. Before then, the Fergesian militia was no more than groups of people who volunteered to protect Fergesia's borders around the clock, bt by the time the FDF was founded in 2621, the militia was swiftly disbanded and integrated with the FDF as either the reserves or as fresh enlisted men and women. At first, the FDF looked as if they were a giant glorified policing force (as found in pre-calamity times); however, when the metalworks industry and ship-building industry became integrated with the weapons industry, the FDF transformed into a formittable self-defence force that would symbolise Fergesia's military might and development. With other advancements including the musket, the caravel, and line infantry tactics, the FDF became the ultimate enforces of Fergesia as the military and the government's secret police.
With the creation of the FDF, Fergesia was now capable of safely progressing southward and claim the rest of the Nova Scotia island. By the 2640s, Fergesia had turned from a small and quiet yet peaceful city-state into a self-sufficient regional power that can function without any outside trade, diplomacy, or even protection. Unfortunately, as much as Fergesia has achieved an honurable economic and military status, the celebration would not last long, and it did not help by the fact that Fergesia had celebrated such an achievement all by itself as well. By the early 2660s, Fergesia's growth and success was showing signs of decline as a result of overproduction, land and capital shortages, and worst of all, overexpansion of territory. From the early 2600s to the 2650s, Fergesia's economic prowess and might have been in override by the Fergesian stratocracy, and with such economic strength has allowed Fergesia to strain its military and infastructual holdings over its territories across the entire Nova Scotia island; thereby triggering the end of the Nemean Miracle by 2259, and placing Fergesia in a stage of economic crisis that would challenge Fergesia in the world of the post apocalypse.
Founding Date: 26th October 2547
Population: Approximately 1.1 Million People
Army Size and Equipment: 40,000 (18,000 personnel in active service, and 22,000 personnel in the reserves)• (Motto): Εμπροσθοφυλακές της Άμυνας και Ασφάλειας. ("Vanguards of Defence and Safety").
• (Army): The Fergesian Democratic Army ("Δημοκρατικός Στρατός Φερνηες", or in abbreviations, "ΔΣΦ" or "FDA") is the armed forces of the Fergesian Defence Forces, and is responsibly for defending the land territories and borders of Fergesia. The FDA is seperated into two subcategories that are responsible for two specialties; the Fergesian Ground Army Service ("Φερνική Υπηρεσία Στρατού Ξηράς", or in abbreviations, "ΦΥΣΞ"), and the Fergesian Army Police Service ("Φερνικού Στρατού Αστυνομικής Υπηρεσίας", or in abbreviations, "ΦΣΑΥ"). Although rather decentralised in the manner of which the military police is not its own seperate branch, the Fergesian Army Police Service is tasked with safeguarding the integrity and safety of the Fergesian Ground Army Service from espionage, insubordinance, and instability throughout all the ranks of the army. According to government records, there are 8,000 personnel in active service in the FDA.
• (Navy): The Fergesian Democratic Navy ("Φερνικη Δημοκρατική Ναυτικού", or in abbreviations, "ΦΔΝ" or "FDN") is the naval force of the Fergesian Defence Forces, and is responsible for defending the coastal areas of Fergesia. Similar to the FDA, the FDN is seperated into three subcategories; the Fergesian Maritime Service ("Φερνική Υπηρεσία θαλάσσιας Μεταφοράς", or "ΦΥΘΜΕ"), the Fergesian Navy Police Service ("Φερνική Αστυνομία Υπηρεσία Πολεμικού Ναυτικού", or "ΦΑΥΠΝ"), and the Fergesian Navy Land Service ("Φερνική Υπηρεσία του Ναυτικού Γη", or "ΦΥΝΓΗ"). Because the FDN has its own ground combat units, the FDN virtually has control over what could have been the Fergesian Democratic Marines; however, the Fergesian Navy Land Service should not be confused with the Fergesian Ground Army Service, since the Fergesian Navy Land Service is little more than the FDN's only means of performing an offensive seaborne invasion or boarding and attacking other ships. According to government records, there are approximately 10,000 personnel in active service in the FDN.
• (Military Recruitment): The Fergesian Defence Forces relies on a mixture of universal conscription (which applies for all genders) to create a large pool of reservists, as well as a small cadre of professional soldiers which primairly form the backbone of the FDA. Plus, this also accounts for the bulk of the non-comissioned officer corps, including the upper echelons of the officer corps (whom make up 60% of the members in the Fergesian State Directory; as expected of the Fergesian Stratocracy). The junior officers tend to be reservists with higher educations; however, surprisingly enough, much of the junior officers are females (as females are granted superior education opportunities, since females cannot work in jobs that involve long-term heavy lifting or hazardous chemicals). On the other hand, the upper echelons of the officer corps are made up of more males than females, which is largely due to the fact that males are promoted with higher ranks depending on experience, merit, and success rate while in military service. Not surprisingly, upon serving the minimum of five years in military service, he/she can be exempted from the physical labour enforced under Modern Spartanism if he/she were to stay in military service (until the maximum age of 50 years old); however, if he/she were to perform such dishonourable and disgraceful actions (such as, insubordinance, mutiny, cowardice, and etc), he/she can have all their ranks stripped away and then be permenantly relocated to a labour camp with a permenant life sentence.
• (Uniforms): Because of the totalitarian nature of Modern Spartanism, Fergesia strongly holds onto one thing in mind since Ancient Sparta; simplicity. Although ironic since the military organisation of the Fergesian Democratic Forces is considerably complex, the Fergesians are simplistic when it comes to military uniforms. Commonly, the standard combat uniform in the FDA consists of grey coloured trousers and tunic, a shell jacket with shoulder loops (including a white undershirt underneath), brown coloured lace-up leather boots, and a garrison cap; however, in the winter, Fergesian soldiers are instead issued a cotton padded jacket and pants, along with a fur cap (though it should be noted that the transition from summer to winter uniforms take at least a couple months to complete). In the FDN, the standard uniform consists of blue coloured trousers and tunic, sailor jacket, brown leather boat shoes, and a square rig sailor cap (with the text printed on the peak either saying, "Φ.Δ.Ν.", and then the ship classification abbreviations and number); however, much like the FDA, the sailors are issued cotton padded jackets and pants along with gloves when it is winter or the ships are sailing into frigid waters. Not surprisingly, due to the decentralised nature of the Fergesian Defence Forces, and the Spartan-like simplicity of the uniforms, even high ranking officers are indistinguishable from the average Fergesian soldier along with the fact that there are seperate subcategories for each military branch; however, the only difference that distinguishes officers from ordinary soldiers is the rank insignias/patches on the collar and upper chest, and in correlation with the having seperate subcategories for both military branches, the abbreviations of each seperate subategory are sewed onto the shoulder loops.
• (Weapon Preferences): Due to the fact that both military branches have their subcategories, each military branch has their own standard weapon of choice. For the Fergesian Ground Army Service and the Fergesian Navy Land Service, the musket is usually prefered; however, the Fergesian Navy Land Service makes extensive use of rectangular-shaped Hoplon shields since it can be used to protect soldiers from incoming attacks when performing amphibious landings or boarding other ships. Of course, the Fergesian Ground Army Service and the Fergesian Army Police Service makes use of shields as well, shields are only used when the Fergesian Ground Army Service is dealing with urban situations or close quarters combat. As for both Fergesian Police Services (from both the Army and Navy), wooden batons are the only weapons that both Police Services use; however, whenever there is a situation in which the enemy or suspect is armed and deemed extremely dangerous, muskets are brought in as a tool to quickly defuse these kind of emergency situations. Lastly, and not surprisingly, the Fergesian Ground Army Service and the Fergesian Navy Land Service make commonly use of their muskets and shields in the form of line infantry; however, both the Fergesian Ground Army Service and the Fergesian Navy Land Service will make use of entrenchment tools to strengthen their defensive positions whenever a land battle turns for the worse.
Economic Overview:The Fegesian economy is based on a system of state ownership of the means of production, centralised administrative planning, collective farming, and manufacturing businesses. As true of the Modern Spartanism ideology, the Fergesian government emphasises the agriculture and textile to ensure that every Fergesian citizen gets food and clothing as part of the payment for their labour services. In addition, it is no surprise that Fergesia has an active military weapons industry, which combines the textile industry, metalworks, and ship-building industry with the FDF. Furthermore, although mineral mining plays a part in the production of gunpowder, the mining industry in Fergesia is more focused upon civilian applications, such as, architecture, pottery, and etc. Unfortunately, the Fergesian economy is in a state of crisis and potential decline due to military and infastructual strains over Fergesia's recent territorial claims of southern Nova Scotia; and to make matters worse, the mining industry has suffered the worst out of the Fergesian economic crisis due to the mineral depletion for most of Fergesia's existing mines (which is threatening Fergesia's miners to go without work).

Prime Consuls / Πρωθυπουργού Πρόξενοι (Heads of State)
• (Basis of Authority): Military Power (Stratocracy)
• (Ruling Structure): Militaristic (Stratocracy)
• (Ideology): The Fergesian Ideology is created upon the combination of militarism, totalitarianism, and ancient social systems called, Modern Spartanism ("Σύγχρονη Σπαρτιάσμό"). Although the name may sound as if the Fergesians have created their verison of Sparta at first, the idea of Modern Spartanism is largely different than what many may think it means upon first glance. First, and most importantly, Modern Spartanism is Fergesia's own version of military totalitarianism; however, unlike its pre-calamity predecessor (Totalitarianism), in fear of losing loyalty and encouraing poverty, the state recognizes that it has the responsiblity of caring for its people as much as they are oppressed. Therefore, beginning from age of 16 years old, the Fergesian people are required to contribute their labour as a form of the tax to the Fergesian government (with refusal or laziness punished by death), and in return for the people's work, the Fergesian government would provide them free clothing, food, freedom, and opportunity. In addition, much like Fergesia's ancient predecessors, Modern Spartanism institutes militarism, in which men and women between the age of 16 to 30 years old are required to be conscripted into military service and serve for five years; however, only those who are still attending school or are part of the Fergesian Intelligentsia are exempted.
• (Organisation): The Fergesian government is a militaristic directorial system, in which power and government offices are held by military officers and members of the Fergesian Intelligentsia. Organised into a sole political party and council called, the State Directory; the Fergesian Intelligentsia and military officers oversee all matters of state and all aspects of civilian administration; however, to prevent power struggles between the intellgentsia and the military, both sides are kept in line via by a strict checks-and-balance system that prevents either side from becoming too powerful or entirely dominant. For example, to name one of the restrictions of the strict checks-and-balances, members of the State Directory are not allowed to remove other politicians from power without an adequate and strong 3/5 vote from both the military and the intelligentsia. Aside from these restrictions, the State Directory is made of members that are chosen from the Fergesian Intelligentsia (based upon merit and education) and the military officer corps (based upon experience, merit, and success rate). Plus, as expected of a directorial system, the Fergesian people have direct voice or power in the government (as politicians are appointed, not elected by the people); however, the people can be able to voice themselves indirectly via by the actions and content of the Fergesian Intelligentsia.
• (Leadership): As true of a directorial system, two leaders (aka, Prime Consuls) are appointed by the Fergesian State Directory and collectively exercise the powers of a head of state for a single 2-year term (as the Fergesian State Directory automatically holds the powers of the head of government). Interestingly, even though both Prime Consuls are declared as the official leaders of Fergesia, both Prime Consuls have different tasks and roles to fulfill in order for the government ot function as a whole. Since there are only two Prime Consuls, both Prime Consuls are tasked with taking on two different areas in the government; the National Area, and the State Area. In the national area, the first Prime Consul is tasked with handling the issues and problems faced within public/civil services, economics/finances, and domestic issues (which makes he/she considered as the Prime Minister of Fergesia); whereas the second/last Prime Consul is tasked with leading and resolving political, cultural, and military issues (which basically makes he/she considered as the Commander in Chief of the FDF). Lastly, and surprisingly enough, although the Prime Consuls hold more authority than the State Directory, the Prime Consuls cannot function without ignoring the advice and commands of the State Directory, since the State Directory actually holds the power in passing/denying laws and bills, and making decisions; which essentially makes the Prime Consuls little more than a pair of powerful judges (from a pre-calamity point of view).
