The city of Nagoya was rudely awakened on the cool, winter morning of 11 October, 2016; the evening before, 14 year old student Takao Nakajima (中島 崇夫) went into Heiwa Middle School's ground floor male toilet, and never came out again. The teacher who went after him, Mr Keiji Katō (加藤 けいじ), also disappeared.
Attempts to search the toilets were completely futile; nothing was found except for bloodstains.
There was, however, a strange slime sticking on the walls, as well as a faint smell of benzene. In addition, several students who walked past the toilet also reported hearing strange, slurping noises coming from within...
After two weeks of investigation (as well as twelve policemen and three other students going missing after entering other toilets, all of which displayed the same symptoms as the first one), the NPA dropped the case, reluctant to waste the lives of their officers and detectives.
The official advisory was for the school to be closed down permanently, and its students sent to other schools.
"This is our school. This is an illustrious school, one with 72 years of history, and one that has consistently produced top doctors, lawyers, engineers, politicians, and so on. It's not just going to end here."

Unbeknownst to the government, the staff and student body of the school were not content with simply running off and sealing the place up.
This was a second home to them, ghouls in the toilets or otherwise. And they, especially a particular class from the graduating batch of students, were not going to give up their second home without a fight, or at least an investigation.

Here's where the story starts.
Both the Principal and the Student Council President had decided to cautiously investigate the issue, the agreement with the Board of Directors being that the school would only be shut down at the end of the school year. Unless, of course, the cause of the disappearances could be ascertained and eliminated, which would also remove any need to shut the school down in the first place.
Letting the school die was not an option. Using portable toilets forever was not an option either.

1. No god-modding. A standard issue RP rule.
2. No meta-gaming. I understand, though, that unlike god-modding, this slips in unconsciously. I'll do my best to watch myself and remind people if things stray in this direction.
3. Romance, kissing, tenderness, and that sort of thing are okay. Anything you wouldn't let your kids see... not really. People have different definitions of PG13, so I'll just leave a bit of leeway on this one.
4. At least 3 sentences per post. It gets hard to stretch things out in casual conversation sometimes, so I don't demand essays all the time. I do ask that one liners be kept out of the IC, though.
