Just way too fucking expendable.

The psychological effect of exploding civies is not going to sit well with command. Some overly temperemental idiots might suggest bombing everything 20 miles from the checkpoint into oblivion.

Seeing to the fact that a lot of people from Orbis don't take kindly to certain things.

Also, what happened to all the hype that was present last week?

You gotta have quite the ammo stored in that checkpoint to do that.
And it`s gonna take time bombing that much terrain.
Time in which I can pinpoint my target and shoot with heavy siege guns.
And if there really is that much ammunition then a single lucky shot could blow up half the checkpoint.

Or you come there with the Air Force. That`s going to be considerably more difficult to handle for me. The Goblins have a nice chopper air force and except for that mostly WW1 triplanes and biplanes. Though the mountains have AA on all heights.

The checkpoint itself lacks tons of bombs for planes, and the nearest "large" airfield is 40-60 km in a town nearby. The ammo that is present is stored underground in reinforced areas.

There aren't many aircraft nearby, but they should be more than enough to bomb a few select areas. The base itself has a small airfield (and rocket base) a few kilometers behind.

You don't actually need to destroy the Aircraft or the Bomb Stockpiles. Just Crater the runway.

The one further down will have to do then. It'll definitely take some time prepping.

Really, all he has to do to significantly reduce your Air Power (one of your greatest advantages) is use cratering munitions on your Runways to push your aircraft further and further away from the front line. Reducing the effect that they'll have on the battle. And with Rocket Artillery and Self Propelled Guns. It'd be very easy for a force with great mobility to close into range of other Airfields quickly to engage that airfield with cratering munitions.

You know, he wants to bomb everything in a 20 mile radious. That`s gonna need awful lots of ammo.
Also, he has no reconnaissance I don`t have any further than his checkpoint as well.
And I`m not worried about rockets. Long range rockets back then were basically aimed roughly into a certain direction and had a limited fuel supply to control how far they flew (Coudl be wrong on the control how far they fly but it definitely wasn`t very advanced)

Nation Name: The United Tribes of Nesmai
Flag/Emblem/Symbol: http://img05.deviantart.net/2517/i/2015 ... 4ao89a.png
Government Type: Magocracy
Ideology: National secrecy & trade supermancy
Leader Name: Suprime Archmagus Deyros Veytein
Political Party: None
Capital City Name: Lurissak
Map Claim: I want to go for either being above Boral (and therefore have a small strip of my border touching Albion territory) or below Dunkelberge & Boral (trying to figure out the most graceful border placement).
Culture: The Send/Dark Elves have a multilayered society comprising of three main parts, the Sand Elf traders, the Dark Elf raiders and the cities (both the secret ones and the not so secret ones) where the rest live. There are also nomads and small groups of individuals here and there but they're usually very secluded. To an outsider, the desert seems to be full of devious traders and ruthless raiders, with an occasional city here and there, with no real defined technology of their own, and it's only real attraction being exotic beasts that the traders always have a easy supply of. However the desert lands have provided as both a notorious military issue and mystery. Past attempted at seizing the land has always ended in failure within a couple weeks at the most, the logistics of trying to feed a massive campaign is problematic to say the least without the supply lines under constant attack. Even air ships that wonder to far into the desert have disappeared without warning.

Away from prying eyes, underground in fact, there are massive industrial cities which are technologically and magically advanced. With magic, the elves have made lush underground farms inside of vast caverns which can supply more than enough food for the entire region, and often exporting these foods off to other countries, amassing quite a substantial amount of wealth. Above many of these cities lay much more ancient cities which are easily thousands of years old, with majestic walls, showing the wear of time on their ancient defenses (while not useful against siege craft anymore, they're still quite handy at keeping sandstorms outside of the city), and their arcane defenses remain ever strong (also useful against sandstorms).

The raiders, which are almost always simply refereed to as the Dark Elves, are diverse in their ways and weapons. Some groups heavily rely on beasts, other machines, some prefer fast attack methods while others like to ambush their prey. The other group of Drasain Elves that people encounter are the Sand Elf traders who make constant trade with anybody else, typically for bits of technological marvels, weapons or other more practical items, and when they can they'll wring out as much information from the people they trade from.
Races: "Sand/Dark" Drasain Elves
Technology: Through constant trading and raiding, the UTN gain much of their technology from their neighbors, which they've developed a very proficient taste for reverse engineering other technologies. As far as technology goes, for the most part they're just trying to keep their secret cities as modernized as possible, and finding way to keep them secret at the same time (like using electricity rather than combustion for engines). However when it comes to magic, they're pushing the boundaries, and even developing their own unique type called Biomancy. With Biomancy they've shaped plants, creatures and themselves into more ideal beings, making plants that grow without sunlight (in some of the cavern farms), beasts capable of amazing feats, and finding way to mimic technologies of other nations.
History: The Drasain Elves have been in the Nesmai desert since before written history, though they haven't been united under one flag until recent history. Before they were united under one flag, the Drasain were a bunch of different tribes who fought so often that war became a way of life for many a century. However about eighty nine years ago, a successful war mage and general managed to change everything, and with a small group of like minded mages, he did just that. Getting most of the other mages in with them, and murdering or restraining those who wouldn't cooperate, they pulled off a nearly bloodless coup. A new Magocracy was formed and the entirety of the desert society was reborn into a modernized nation. Nowadays, aerial travel is becoming more and more popular as things such as blimps, artificial birds & fabricated
Military Doctrine/Strategies: Take advantage of every weakness and don't directly confront an powerful enemy.
Military Branches: Raiders, City Guards
Military Strengths: Speed & stealth
Military Weaknesses: The military is by no means uniform and doesn't have anything one could consider heavy units (tanks), Due to it's nature it's a very wide spread and thin, which means that it don't have any real stopping force. Their ain't jack nor shit when it comes to naval forces, aside from the middle sized and steadily growing merchant fleet. Also they're not really suited for anything other than open desert warfare.

Relations with other nations: None really, the Drasain are pretty seclusive and the merchants are there to do business with others where profit is to be found. Beyond that the only other contact would be the persistent raiders who hit anywhere along their borders & forming a general policy of harass the others guys a lot to keep them on edge.
RP Sample: \(~.~)/

Name of School: Biomancy
Description of Capabilities: An arcane offshoot of druidistic magic, Biomancy is about shaping lifeforms to one's desire, achieving what evolution does in millions of years in mere moments. It's tied in with summoning and alchemy a bit, but distinct enough to be classified as it's own school. While lower level spells can increase the physical might of a few people a short time or accelerate the growth of a plant or animal, high level spells can easily buff up entire armies or turn plants and animals into arcane monsters.
Advantages and Disadvantages: Biomancy allows the one to control plants and animals near oneself, changing them at one's will. Due to it's nature, a practiced Biomancer can turn the tides of war due to the versatile nature of being able to reshape living organisms. However Biomancy is a very hard to learn school and take a lot of dedication and power, making it limited to the few with exceptional amount of power and dedication. When it comes down to a mage on mage duel, unless the Biomancer is very high level, Biomancy isn't a very good school for combat (they're along the lines of a summoner a few levels below them typically depending on environment).

Name: Deyros Veytein
Appearance: linked in nation app in leader section
Age: 253
Race: Drasain Elf
Magical Ability: Evocation
Personality: Cold and ruthless, he puts the nation & people first.
Bio: Originally was one of the bigger tribe's greatest mage, then eventually their general. Tired of all the infighting, he gathered many of the mages of the tribes together and commenced in a mage/military coup, and forced the tribes to work together rather than fight each other. Now he constantly runs about dealing with every single issue popping up. The old generations dislike him for the most part, however the younger generations look up to him and his "one people" policies.

Name: Archmagus Maeleyn Kyto
Appearance:
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/gat ... 1018160847
Age: 23
Race: Drasain Elf
Magical Ability: She actually dual schools in both Biomancy & Evocation
Personality: A very quick to judge person, she prefers action over waiting for things to happen.
Bio: Maeleyn is the single successful result of the furthest of extremes of Biomancy, a person who's had her connection to magic artificially made rather than being born with it. Unfortunately, the massive amounts of power that was involved leaked, causing magical explosion and sending everything in the surroundings, including her creators and all the research notes into someplace beyond space and time, likely utterly obliterated and turned into pure energy. After being found, she was taken in by a Sand Elf trader who, upon discovering her massive amount of mana, he had her sent off to Lurissak where she began training as a wizard. Currently she switches out between a Sand Elf trader role and a Dark Elf raider, preferring the latter, but having no qualms with being the former.

Well, the elves far away are not my issue to worry about.

Looks nice. Hope OP will look at it.
100% sure that OP would accept it if he`d look at it.

You're right.
Accepted.

Your prince will get handed a newspaper detailing some of the stuff the news reels said and other things (population growth, etc). When you post, plz just mention my president handing him one for me to save effort.

The slow season of NS has struck I see.

*Looks at the Dunkelberge app, sees nothing about an underground industry, looks at the UTN app, sees mentioning of underground industrial cities.*
I'm gonna have to disagree about your statement.

But that is nice to know information that should be on the app where people can read it and go "oh, okay nice to know."

Hey Arve, was that supposed to be on the IC post?
I find my grammatical mistakes after I finish posting
