That gave me an idea. What if Stalin Nikoravich's purge was partly to get rid of Vodnuraak k'Fonis's agents in preparation for a direct assault on the dragon?

[*]Drop Pods: This could take various forms, but dropping a big clump of people where they're not wanted is the general idea here. Fire a giant artillery shell, get a strategic bomber, whatever. You could have the soldiers be horribly wounded on impact and have the drop pods loaded with a one-use magical enchantment to undo the damage, do the same thing except kill the occupants and turn them into hungry undead, or just stuff a million god damn goblins with revolvers/knives/grenades in a big bucket and let the minority of survivors do the crazed dirty work as they try to shoot and loot their way to freedom.

No purge gets everyone though, and I was planning on Vodnuraak being a major player in the game. He'll probably go into hiding/visit your rivals if you do manage to gain the upper hand on him.

As World War 2 demonstrated the highest tech available technology was not what won the day, but the ability to mass produce it. Y'all are here talking about Jet Fighters, Automatic Rifles (which i would argue are useless TBH, can elaborate more if you want) and other WunderWaffles but you're forgetting that we're in ww2 tech (and early ww2 at that)

No, there were some 'proof of concept' testing that happened in the late thirty's. The British Airforce didn't see it as having any military potential so the British Engineer who patented it, sold it too the Germans (funny).

People are talking about all of this fancy stuff but are forgetting some significant stuff.
