Oh my gosh! That is going to be such a great costume. I love Snoopy vs. the Red Baron. XD
I am actually currently hugging a Woodstock plushie of my own. Very huggable.
I'm going to be the Queen of Hearts. Surprisingly enough, that's not a costume I've done before.

I feel like Charlotte is a little too malleable to be Queen of Heaven. Oh, trust me. She has it. She just doesn't show it unless she deems it necessary. Play at being more vulnerable until things are on the line, and then bang, everyone is not only in big trouble, but they didn't see it coming. It's actually a decent strategy, I'm just terrible at explaining it.
Also, hey! Have you even seen it?!

Not as easily as you might think, no. Allowing oneself to show emotion is fine as long as one knows how to suppress it.Ranoria wrote:Charlia wrote:Oh, trust me. She has it. And then said plan falls apart when her emotions get toyed with? xD

Let's see--she was thrown out of Heaven for events she couldn't control, manipulated and hurt in oh so many ways, and then when she finally found happiness it all came tumbling down when the same realm that declared she wasn't good enough for it comes back and makes her rule over a universe that has cut her pretty much no slack, ever, and on top of that kills her husband and threatens her children so she'll agree.
She knows how to suppress her emotions, all right. How else do you think she survived this long?

Maybe you should work on making your characters strategies more obvious. Because from our stand point, Charlotte is not in a mental condition suited enough to take over Heaven...
In fact, using what I remember, even after fifty years, I don't think she'd be ready to take over a small Oklahoma town.
I think, though, that it comes down to a problem with the medium you use to write, though. You'd be able to edit the whole work to show Charlotte's progression more if this were a book, but since this is an RP and moves too rapidly in sudden directions, characters have to be relatively static, mainly because if they did react psychologically to the shifts in plot, they'd have a mental brake down.

If they don't react, though, there's no character development...
Otherwise, though...going somewhat off of what Free said, Charlotte has come across to me more as driven by grief than ruling with an iron fist. Queen Victoria, not Queen Elizabeth (not that Queen Victoria was a weak ruler at all, she was a great ruler, she just spent half her life in grief, basically, after Prince Albert died). So that might be a feature. It's a start, and not a bad one, but at this point she can't still be showing signs of weakness to roaches like Metatron. She also can't be intimidated by War, because she IS driving War into battle.
Don't take this the wrong way, Char. Charlotte's not a bad character, she just needs to tighten up the reins a little bit.

When was she intimidated?
