Minutemen wouldn't have any vehicles or vertibirds. Or long-range radios. So there is no way to know anything beyond its borders. However, traders in the Illinois/Indiana area would have heard stories about the BoS and passed them on. Seeing as the Minutemen just consolidated their hold over Lafayette, they would not have bumped into the traders until recently. I never said the troops were hostile; they are taking precautions and scouting out the area. There might be a Super Mutant stronghold in Chicago, for all the Minutemen know.

Well if they DID Scout out Chicago, they'd find BoS guys controlling the city, Though if it's the eastern territory that they're gonna meet at, that might make a bit more sense. Seeing as it's only a few Border Towns, and not the main city.

The BoS recieved a Reading from the Energy Weapons readings from their Laser Muskets.

And Their reaction to guys with Energy Weapon heading towards them is kind of like "BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES" considering after they had a large run in with Calcatron, an enemy who's got Robot Troops armed with Energy Weapons,

Though thing'll probably cool down once they reach the border and see Minutemen, and realize that this wasn't what they were expecting.

And then after, Probably, Wasteland Diplomacy?

Also, since you gave the Teuton guy the Wisconsin land I asked for could you give me Milwaukee and Madison?

In the Midwest with the Calculator.

Ah, Fallout Tactics. I reckon my gang would have an uneasy alliance with them, but an alliance nonetheless.

I'm more or less looking for a good city to base my people in. Detroit was the prime choice due to the booming automotive industry. Any ideas?

I'm thinking something more iconic. Besides, I doubt Jeep exists in the Fallout timeline :p

Maybe St. Louis? It's iconic, and I could probably make up some stuff about it being a factory city.

Jeep was found in 1941 prior to the year the Fallout universe diverges from our own (49 I think)

Still, it isn't mentioned any in the Fallout universe. We would have to assume it doesn't exist.

Made this for you guys if you ever need an in depth look into the Enclave. I have yet to add major characters, weaponry, and vehicles.

Edit: I also will make a section for Vancouver, it's importance, it's army, and a few other things.

I'm not trying to make you mad, but if your leader walked into Raven Rock and attacked Eden, he would have set off the nukes in the base.

Since this is still open, I'd like to try something different...

Faction Name: The Confederate States of America
Founding Year: EDIT: Sorry, didn't read the last part of the timeline... Let's say 2259
Population (nothing over a million): 297,263
Leader: President Thomas Banner
Notable Members: General Beauregard Smith, General Robert Lafayette, Councilman Elias Barnes, Councilman George Wigfall
Territory: Southern Louisiana, stretching into the very south of Alabama and Mississippi.
Capitol City/Hold: Mobile

Armed Forces:

History Canon/non Canon?: The Confederate States of America, often abbreviated C.S.A., was forged in the year 2259 by Thomas Banner. Then a young man, Banner was an adventurer- and a bloodthirsty one at that. Following a decade of exploits in which the man and his gang rampaged across Louisiana, Southern Arkansas and Western Mississippi, Thomas Banner settled down in an abandoned manor near New Orleans. The man had always had a prejudice against ghouls, and so rounded up as many as he could- well, the ones that weren't feral- and made them his slaves. Though not a gentleman, Banner thought himself one and longed for the days of Antebellum chivalry- this time in a post-apocalyptic setting.

With his posse as the overseers, Thomas Banner forced the captured ghouls to labor day after day in building a huge fortress to keep back any enemies. Regular expeditions into the big city of New Orleans gathered fresh recruits who were eager to exercise their "God-given rights" over the irradiated inhabitants of the Wasteland. As his faction swelled to encompass much of the New Orleans area, Banner prematurely named it the Confederate States of America in the year 2259. His oldest lieutenants from the original bandit gang were appointed to the Confederate High Senate to help Banner govern his lands, while a Provincial Confederate Army was reformed from the ranks of the overseers and thugs who protected the Confederacy. Thomas even began printing Confederate money with captured equipment from the city.

When the Confederacy had reached "critical mass", as Banner called it, he took control of the entire peninsula save for New Orleans itself- and thus began to starve the city, as caravans could not proceed into the area. Gradually the remaining settlements nestled around the big city were peacefully absorbed into the CSA, until N'Orleans was surrounded. Using rustic cannon captured from unused historic artillery forts, Confederate forces bombarded the city for three straight weeks before marching in unopposed. Considering this the start of his Confederacy, Banner quickly secured what was left of the New Orleans area and made that city his capitol, naming himself President of the CSA. He also proceeded to thoroughly define Confederate laws, which encouraged peace and community among "pure humans" and further restricted the limited rights of "mutants".

Around this time Banner was informed of Vaults; the last bastion of truly pure humanity, not to mention great sources of pre-war weaponry and other technology. Almost immediately parties were sent in all directions to search for these fabled Vaults, which Banner compared to El Dorado and the other Cities of Gold. After many months, during which the Confederate President gave up all hope of ever finding the bunkers, news reached him that one had been located. Almost instantly Banner proceeded to travel to this location, which was near Baton Rouge. After several days' worth of peace talks, a triumphant President Thomas Banner announced that Vault 72 had joined the Confederacy. The Vault was named the headquarters of the Confederate Army, while Banner spent weeks brooding over human "purity".

Eventually he decreed that a new system of race laws would be put into effect. A third ruling class was added to the social pyramid, being completely pure humans. They enjoyed the most rights of all three classifications of humanity, and Banner named himself as one of them, along with the High Senate(which was renamed the Confederate Council), though he was not at all pure. Next were the regular humans, which had just as many rights except that they were not allowed to marry "pure" humans and vice-versa, finally came the "mutants". Taking a wife from among the Vault's population, Banner authorized the Army to strip the Vault bare of technology as well as to send additional parties looking for more Vaults. The laws of the Confederacy began to be imposed upon all settlements as Confederate Marshals and Deputies, local lawmen, were appointed.

As the army swelled with new recruits, Banner authorized the takeover of the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Alabama. Easily trampling over local bandits and militias with the looted weapons of the Vaults and superior numbers, the soldiers fought all the way to Mobile. Pleased, Banner shifted his capital there and ordered his troops to spread along the new borders of the Confederacy, as expansion was finished for now. Four more Vaults were appropriated, increasing the population of the ruling class, most of which were relocated to Mobile. Meanwhile the Army began enforcing all of the Confederacy's laws throughout their new territory, and Banner increased his iron grip over his lands.

Since then the Confederacy has remained stagnant, its population and army growing as Banner bides his time. Although he is an old man, he has great ambitions...

Capilean News (Updated 16 November)
Where is the horse gone? Where the warrior?
Where is the treasure-giver? Where are the seats at the feast?
Where are the revels in the hall?
Alas for the bright cup! Alas for the mailed warrior!
Alas for the splendour of the prince!
How that time has passed away, dark under the cover of night, as if it never were.

Faction Name: The Jeden Collective
Founding Year: 2264 (Though officially it was created in the pre-war times)
Population: 486,233 (Counting non-Feral ghouls, and sentient Super mutants)
Leader: Caine O'Connell
Notable Members: Lilly Blackwater, Maxim Gates, Julius Rothschild, Henry Buffet
Territory: Northern Half of Missouri
Capitol City/Hold: Kansas City

Armed Forces:
22,000 Citizen Millitia (Conscripts loyal to the state that serve as a national guard, train on the weekends, work on the weekdays. Minimal funding is put towards these guys, so they have supplemented their stamped rifles with whatever extra gear they can find)
8,000 Collective Infantry (The standard Infantry body of the Jeden Collective, equipped nationally with Titanium plate Armor and a powered Helmet, alongside either a Riot Shotgun or Assault Rifle. Generally armed with a few hand-grenades as well.)
2,000 Collective Guard (Heavy infantry of the Collective, Heavy Powered Armor Prototypes and Either mini-guns, or Assault Rifles, alongside a grenade launcher here and there.)

History Canon/non Canon?: The Jeden Collective was established in the Pre-war times as a mutual agreement between some of the most powerful private interests the world had ever known. While the Enclave was the post-war plan for the National government and it's figureheads, the Jeden Collective served that function for the majority of the thriving private sector. Years of military stockpiling and private vault construction lead to a underground city complex being created in Kansas city. When the bombs finally dropped, everyone they could take alongside the important people fled into the tunnels and not only survived, but thrived. And now here, all these years later, the descendants of these titans of industry march forth onto the surface to mark the world with their names once more.

Capitol City/Hold: New Haven (South Haven)

Armed Forces:
900 New Haven Guards (Armed with assorted weaponry, mostly rifles and pistols. Leather armour.)
120 Factory Guards (Armed with assault rifles and combat armour.)
1,400 New Haven Militiamen (Armed with assault rifles and other gear, mostly scavenged.)

History Canon/non Canon?: Non-canon

(This is very rough, I will expand on it)
The settlement of New Haven was always inhabited and harassed by raiders. In 2165, Michael Bane discovered the remains of an old munitions factory. Of course, with no power, he could do nothing with it yet. He made it the base for a small force of militiamen, who would attempt to drive the raiders out of South Haven. Eventually they would, and unit the people of New Haven under the banner of the NHR, or New Haven Republic.

The people of New Haven expanded into the neighbouring countryside, establishing farms to sustain the growing population. Eventually, power was aquired and they were able to power the factory and begin creating weaponry, bullets etc. and formed an economy based off of the factory.

Population (nothing over a million): 750,000
Leader: President Jack Westin

Secretary of State Dennis Crocker

Territory: New California, neighboring regions in southern old Oregon, parts of Nevada, Baja California.

25 Commissioned Officers
25 Combat Engineers
100 Power-armored heavy soldiers
10th Brigade is Airborne, meaning 20 vertibirds with 3 crew members, plus a squad of elite NCR paratroopers for each

History Canon/non Canon?: Canon

The New California Republic was born from the remnants of the survivors of Vault 15 and the small walled community they founded, Shady Sands. Under the leadership of Aradesh, and with the assistance of the Vault Dweller (who saved Tandi, Aradesh's daughter and a future president of the NCR), the community prospered. Trade routes with other settlements allowed cultural exchange, and a movement to form a national entity gradually took root and won popular acceptance.

In 2186, the town of Shady Sands changed its name to "New California Republic" and formed a trial council government to draft a constitution. Four more settlements joined the council, and in 2189 the NCR was voted into existence as a sprawling federation of five states: Shady Sands, Los Angeles, Maxson, the Hub, and Dayglow.

By post-apocalyptic standards, the NCR is a paragon of economic success and good ethical character: political enfranchisement, rule of law, a reasonable degree of physical security, and a standard of living better than mere subsistence are daily realities for its impressive population of citizens.
