History Canon/non Canon?: The Confederacy was formed after the fall of the United States, lead by the governor of the state, Joseph Gordon. Governor Gordon was an army man, who had fought in Alaska before returning home to comfort his people in what felt like Doomsday. The Governor, after surviving the nuclear holocaust, went to work rebuilding his great state of Texas under a new flag. After his death many stepped up to take his place but none of them rivaled the power of the new Governor, Alexus Colt. Born during the battle of the Dallas, between raiders and the Confederacy, she was born headstrong and resilient.

With the work of the National Guard and the remnants of both the Marine Corps and Seal Team 6, she worked to unify the state of Texas and successfully established the full vision of the late Governor. Now dawning the mantle of Governor, Alexus seeks to establish diplomacy with all surviving states, colonies and factions that live in the wasteland of the U.S.

2/3rds of Texas is alright, although, 15,000 soldiers, plus thousands more is a bit too much for an army. I'd say decrease the 15,000 a bit.

It made sense with Miami being a big shipping port to take some of the container ships and convert them

Most of the land has been slowly converted back into semi-fertile farmland, with large caravans running from city to city with supplies. This Confederacy isn't without it's flaws, as the colony is under constant threat from raiders and hostile factions that aim to claim Texan oil, which is in very small abundance as it is. The colony survives, mostly in thanks to a large band of cowboys that work independant, but also dependant, to the confederacy, acting as the colonies first response units in exchange for food, a place of rest and plots of land. The armed forces heavily rely on ballistic weapons, such as coach guns, shotguns, assault rifles, revolvers, bolt action guns and gattling guns to do a bulk of their work while also having several strategically placed artillery camps to provide long range bombardments. The only remotely sophisticated weapon in their arsenal are 5 plasma rifles that were acquired through various means. Those rifles are only held by the elite of the elite in the Confederacy: Colonel Valentine, Major Colt, Mr. Vincent, Mr. Hiddleston and Sgt. Wilhelm.

History Canon/non Canon?: Non-canon.
The Commonwealth's birthplace is actually located in Maine, in Vault 123, of the New England Commonwealth's 120 series. Technically they were commissioned by the United States Federal Government to protect survivors, but the Commonwealth had it's own plans. Using their own funds, the Commonwealth agreed to furnish a part of the cost in a deal with Vault-Tec. Officially, only three extra vaults were constructed, 120, 121 and 122. However Vaults 123-129 were constructed to the specifications of New England's leaders to ensure that they would survive the war. While Vault 114 was the ofiicial Vault to ensure the survival of the wealthy elite of Boston. The higher ups of New England's government preferred Vault 111's cyro-stasis approach, even if it was untested to the prospect of actually living in a vault.

Thus Vaults 123-129 were placed under the sole preview of the Commonwealth's real ruling class who designed them to store them from centuries with a small rotating staff awoken every decade to check for viability. Eventually Vault 123's Overseer decided that 2175 was an excellent time to reveal themselves to the world. Awakening from Vault 123, the former rulers of New England and their support staff began bartering secretly with the surprisingly unaffected population of Maine that was largely skipped over by the nuclear onslaught for lack of anything really worth hitting. Despite harsh nuclear winters and fallout from other locations, the former state was able to weather the storm and proved a fertile location for the new commonwealth.

Keeping their existence a secret, the revived commonwealth slowly built itself up and sought out the other vaults scattered across the commonwealth that housed various specialist that the leaders of the New England jugdged would be needed including specialists in military affairs (124), agriculture (125), industry (126), science (127) among others. The commonwealth was able to build up a great deal of it's industry and agriculture that allowed it to flourish, semi-hidden in the far north of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Eventually near the turn of the 23rd century, the Commonwealth began a march south, easily recapturing what was left of the commonwealth.

(This is very rough, I will expand on it)
The settlement of New Haven was always inhabited and harassed by raiders. In 2165, Michael Bane discovered the remains of an old munitions factory. Of course, with no power, he could do nothing with it yet. He made it the base for a small force of militiamen, who would attempt to drive the raiders out of South Haven. Eventually they would, and unit the people of New Haven under the banner of the NHR, or New Haven Republic.

The people of New Haven expanded into the neighbouring countryside, establishing farms to sustain the growing population. Eventually, power was aquired and they were able to power the factory and begin creating weaponry, bullets etc. and formed an economy based off of the factory.

Yes you can, the map is the U.S for now because that's where most people are at this moment in time.
