How long do you think it would take me to take over East Kentucky? I mean my guys already patrol/pacify the area on a daily basis.

Main thing if you already have military elements within it is getting the cities and towns to formally agree to be part of your nation. And invade the ones who disagree. I would say about a week and a half at most.

I'm the Republic of Texas(orange). I would not suggest that area as I'm already scouting it out to see if it's worth sending troops into. I'm plan to take it so I can make a navy to go into the Caribbean.

Perhaps in Tennessee? in the center of a lot of nations but not too close to them. Healthy trade could begin with them.

It's gonna be interesting having a sort of Gibraltar like installation on the Olympic Peninsula. Hopefully there will be a climactic siege of it some point in the future 8)
