like the military back up plan or do they even have a back up plan? She asked.
she was vey worried if there was any at all, and that person on that radio was asking the same question

She was hoping they had one for the sake of us, and the humanity.

Griggs listened to the question. "Not sure ma'am. All I know is that we have to get there before noon. The city will probably be firebombed."

Jenelle drove her Driver's ed mini cooper through the crowded streets of the Bronx, avoiding crashed cars and still-moving ones. In the passenger's side, her frightened driver's ed student, 23 year old Mike, was hyperventilating
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit" Mike was freaking out
"Calm the hell down, Mike," Jenelle said "we're almost there", rounding a corner
"Dad, we're here, get the door open!" Jenelle shouted into her cellphone, pulling over against the curb

The undead pounding on the door of a nearby building noticed the car, and just as they turned the door swung open and Evander shoved his .44 magnum scoped revolver into the back of one's head, blowing it's brain to pieces, before shooting the other the same way, firing off rounds at other nearby zombies to prevent them from getting to close to the door or his daughter.

Jenelle and Mike jumped out, making a dash for the door, though as Mike rounded the car, one of the infected grabbed his leg from beneath another car, causing him to fall down and slam his face against the concrete, smashing his glasses and nose, knocking him unconscious as the zombie dragged itself from below the car and began devouring him.

Jenelle ran into the house, turning around to see Evander slamming the door and deadbolting it.
"What happened to Mike?!" she asked
"It doesn't matter, he's not coming back, we gotta move!" Evander said, hoisting the bluish-grey, rectangular backpack with a sleeping bag tied to the top he'd packed full of supplies over his shoulders, as Janelle grabbed her backpack, which Evander had packed. Evander reloaded his revolver and they quickly evacuated into an alley as the dead started to amass, drawn by the gunfire.

"We've gotta retreat, NYC is way to populated, there'll be one of the undead every three feet within a few hours." Evander said
"So where are we going?" Jenelle asked
"The only way out of here without a boat, through Yonkers." Evander said

Jenelle and her dad snuck out of the alley into the street, avoiding making noise as they approached Evander's truck, a yellow 1980 Ford F-150 with a row of heavy-duty offroad cablights. One of the infected noticed them and turned to face them, but as it did so Evander slammed it in the face full-force with his fist, knocking it flat against the concrete and hopping in the truck, driving forward and strait through a few of the undead.

"What the fuck is happening?" Jenelle asked
"I don't know, but the dead are up and walking, and they seem to be eager to tear the living apart," Evander said "can you get my old army radio from my backpack?"
Jenelle reached into the pack and lifted out the radio, setting it up, then Evander turned it on

"All troops inside the city of New York. The city has been overrun. All personnel must fall back to the second line of defense at Delta Zone 09. Yonkers. This transmission will repeat." the radio said, but considering the only other option was to swim, it just seemed like common sense.

Evander tuned the radio away from the automated broadcast hoping to get a channel that other people were listening to, then spoke
"This is Lieutenant Evander Dalton, please advise on best route to Delta Zone, over."

Sam eyes widen from what Briggs responded to Gabriella, and he heard "Fire Bomb." Then
he asked in shock "What the Fuck fire bomb it why?" Sam didn't understand this since
he never even knew the protocol since this was his first time with this event. He believed
that he must have been in the Twilight zone. He looked at Briggs, and said
"Then floor this son of Bitch." He said seriously the last thing he wanted to do
was be extra crispy, and smelling like Jimmy Dean.
He looked at his watch it said "11:00 o'clock then he said
"We got an hour before it happens.
Then he grabbed that radio, and said "Sergeant Michel Martele I don't know if you
can here me Get out of New York there will be fire bomb in one hour repeat you got
one hour. Then he let go, and hope for a response, but was expecting no responds as he gripped his
gun while waiting to get there.
Then he asked Briggs "can you check the station these portable radio are just screwed up I don't even know if anything
I say is going out?"

"Jesus fuck." He muttered to him self as he turned a corner only to see a group of...what the fuck were they?! He was debating turning around when he saw a...bright yellow F-150 haul ass on by. He was still trying to make sense of what they were when the radio broadcast went out.

"This is Lieutenant Evander Dalton, please advise on best route to Delta Zone, over."

He revved up the Charger's engine and hauled ass after the truck.

He tuned his Radio and replied.

"LT., this is Sargent Martele, Air force, I'm in the charger on your ass, I work this whole city for NYPD, take this next left and keep on straight, over."

Gabriella was in shock that the military was ever authorized such a horrible action which fire bomb
the city. She saw Sam was as well in shock from what he just heard, and he heard him say
"Floor this Son of Bitch she couldn't blame him we only had one hour . Which met in hour the entire
city would be set on fire that would kill more then just infected, and then he tried to radio that one guy, but
he doesn't know if his radio was fucked or not which why he asked to check the main radio in the Humvee.
She was hoping this place was not over run or then she would not know what to do as lad her head back
and was trying to stay awake because she had to for her own safety she believed that she was no where near
being safe.
she was forces herself to stay up as the car was driving the last thing she wanted was to be someone
meal.

Evander flicked on his left blinker out of habit and turned left, picking up the pace to smash through a few of the dead in his way, spattering his windshield and grill with blood, before slowing down, turning on his wipers to get the clearest view possible of the road ahead.
"This is Jenelle Dalton, my dad needs to concentrate on driving," Jenelle said through the radio "I just wanted to say thanks for the help, over."

He couldn't help but smile, she sounded cute. "No problem, though I have no idea what the actual hell if going on here, people eating each other and shit...over."

Soon the humvee had arrived at the outskirts of New York state, on route to Yonkers, they still had 40 minutes to get there, Griggs saw helicopters overflying as well as lots of people walking away from the city or also driving away. Griggs had turned on the radio and found several stations warning of the imminent firebombing and how a massive horde of the infected was amassing in the city.

"Harbinger wasn't briefed to everyone because they didn't think the infection would spread so quickly. I guess they were wrong. Hamilton, how much do we have left?"

"About 40 minutes sergeant." Responded Hamilton.

"Good, we can make it."

Sam nodded, and looked the cars grid lock, and people were walking, and trampling over
each other. His eyes grey wide as he looked at the group of people walking, and he notice
something was off about the crowd.

The crowd was full of people not unusual from what is going on, but he saw some of them were
dragging there feet. I couldn't see the people, but what I could see that they might be infect mixed
with the healthy, and this could only be bad.

Then Sam lean forward towards Briggs, and said "Briggs I have a bad feeling that the infected might be
mixed with the healthy. If that true then the Delta Zone will be over ran, and then we are so screwed,
but I hope I'm wrong.

Then suddenly an infected hit the my side door, and it window, and Sam jump back, and Gabriella jump,
and I could see the milky eyes, and the blood coming out of it mouth . Which was spreading on the window, and
I yelled Go!, GO!, GO! as he looked at briggs. He knew this would not end well if they didn't get out of there
very quickly.

Gabriella was trying to stay a wake, and she was happy that they were only fourty minutes, and she here sam
talking to Brigg, and then Bamm!

She jump back, and when the infected the side of the door, and she jump back because one of them tried to
attack her back in the hospital. she heard Sam yell "GO! GO! GO! She said the same thing in her instinct
of survival.

She saw the infected, and she couldn't believe this, and she stick close to Sam just make her feel a
little better because he was armed. She then realized that thing was not going to get in.

she eased off a little, but still kept close so she didn't want to give that impression
on him at all. Since she though he was cute, but still he was a complete stranger still
well a stranger not a complete stranger she though as she was still scared.

Griggs was shocked by the sudden infected jumopin on the window, he then pressed the accelerator with all his might, "Gutierrez shred that motherfucker to pieces!"

Gutierrez who was on the 50. cal turret turned around to face the infected and quickly shot it right on the head, making a whole mush of blood an brains just fly back with the wind. "Nice job Gutierrez. Everyone hold on, we are approaching Yonkers now."

The humvee eventually made it to the roadblock the army had set up, hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians all around the edge of the city, where only a few bridges were left standing to enter, while the other had been blown up and the only way to get across was to cross through a tilted valley which made the Army force at the other side of the bridges have a great vantage point. Soon all vehicles both military and civilian where checked and the passengers as well. Hundreds of civilians crossing the valley and the bridge trying to get to safety.

Griggs drove the beaten humvee to a nearby gas station, He took off his helmet, he had grown back a stubble out of all the stress and was sweating. "Well doc, I guess we made it." He rested his head on the wheel for a minute. "Squad, join the others, I'll be meeting you soon."

"Yes sir." Said teh soldiers as they got out to join the line of soldiers. "Alright doc, I guess you're coming with us right?" Griggs asked as he readied and cocked his M249 LMG.

He saw him put his head down, and then asked the question, and he looked at him, and looked at Gabriella.

Then he said, "Sure as long she tags along if she want to come along as he grabbed his
M4 assault rifle.

He was hoping she would come because she might be useful with medical, and she has knowledge on what happened in the
hospital. Plus he kinda like her, but kept it hidden since right now this was far from over.

and she could help them in the medical area.
Then she though about, and she had another hidden agenda, and said
"Sure Sam I'm with you , and she got out of the other side of the Humvee.

Another half hour of fallowing the yellow truck and they had made it to Yonkers, or a little valley to Yonkers. He cursed him self as he lost the truck in the crowd.

"LT...I mean Miss, keep heading straight and you'l get ther-" he was cut short at the sound of gunfire and he gunned the engine. Tearing through a crowd made up the...monsters, he ended up turning the Charger over in a small ditch on the side of the road. He managed to crawl out and in to the bush. He watched as they surrounded his car, seemingly attracted to the sound like a moth to a flame. He stood up to a crouch and slowly made his way towards the blockade.

A few minuets of silently walking with his M16 ready, he came upon a gas station and observed as a Humvee rolled up. A group of uniformed soldiers dismounted, as well as a civilian? He shook his head.

"Friendly in the bush, check fire rear!" He spoke loud enough to get their attention, but not the...things. He popped his head up and slowly made his way over to them.

Griggs left the two alone on the humvee as he ran through the crowd of reporters and civilians. Dozens of helicopters were flying around the area, both military and news. LAV's, Abram tanks, and all types of vehicles around the area.

Out of nowhere various officers began distributing gas mask around to all soldiers in the line, Griggs and his soldiers were confused but they put them on, even though the officers didn't had any. The reporting cameras began taking picture of the confused soldiers.

"What the fuck is going on." At that moment, dozens of bombers overflew towards New York city.

He broke in to a dead sprint to catch up with them. Steadying his rifle on the hood of a car, he looked up at the planes. "Shit, those are Strike Eagles...F-15E ground attack models, looked like they were loaded up with Pave-ways..." He took the mask and slipped on his face. He moved next to the LMG and readied his own rifle.

He saw soldiers getting gas mask so I gave Gabriella mine , and I grabbed one, and we put them
on. I had a real bad feeling about this, and he led her towards Briggs unit while holding his rifle, and said "Holy shit Briggs what happening?"

"The bombing run, guess they didn't take their chance in this..." Said Griggs as he adjusted his weapon.

"All civilians to the back of the line, everyone checked frequency 8 for further details." Said an officer in a loudspeaker. Griggs and the other turned their radios to the frequency. "Doc, Gabriella better go with the others, at least she should stay back." Said Griggs. In that moment radio messages from General Harbinger began transmitting.

Alright soldiers, this should be easy. The bombing must have taken the majority of infected out so we will wait for the stragglers to come. This is where we will turn the tide gentlemen.

Gabriella was breathing heavily in the gas mask, and she saw the fire balm the city , and she stick close to sam, and she heard what
that solider said. Then there was aloud scream that came from behind the solider, and she spinned around, and pulled on Same shirt trying to
get his attention.
I think this might be a problem, but her voice low in the mask, and all the noise.

Soon a massive horde began appearing from the other side of the river. First they came in the dozens, then hundreds. "FIRE!" Said someone in the transmission. The entire line began firing their weapons, shredding through thousands of the undead. Tanks and LAV's shooting their rounds which would get rid of a small group the infected progressively. "Shoot them in the head" Said another voice in the radio.

There were thousands of them, and it didn't seem to stop. Soldiers firing endless rounds as teh undead came closer and closer, some were still burning from the firebombing. Griggs and his men fired endless round of bullets, Griggs maintaining short but prolonged bursts from his LMG.

One soldier in the radio then said "I SHOOT ONE IN THE HEAD AND HE DOESN'T DIE, THEY"RE INVINCIBLE!" The line then began to break in disorder as panic and fear flooded the soldier's minds. Griggs noticed that the reason some didn't die was because they only scratched the head, "Calm down." He said. "Shot them straight in the head, hold the line." He said.

Some parts of the line began retaining control but the undead just kept coming, as if there were millions. Some crawling while other jogging faster than the other. The shit began hitting the fan when Gabriella noticed that undead began grabbing soldiers from behind closed doors of buildings and houses. Probably the families had left there to rot.

The line began to break as the undead began overwhelming the defenses. Screaming and roaring from the undead was heard all over the radio as everything began to fall into chaos and terror. Griggs kept on shooting while falling back with his men and the others. Whoever, the horrifying radio frequency made him sweat like hell in fear.

Sam realized his shirt was being pulled on his uniform, and suddenly
he turn around to see what Gabriella was wanting. Then suddenly He saw civilians getting attack

"Son of a Bitch the Infected are mixed with the infected!" He aimed his rifle and he started
firing rounds at the infected in the head as squeezed the trigger, and the bullets started
flying out of the gun and striking in the skulls of the infected.

The problem I shoot one, and three more take it place, and I realized
that the civilians were slowly being turned into the infected.

"We need men over here Now Briggs aim for the Head only way!"

I couldn't believe how fast this was happening this place just fucked us he
thought.

He had to think about it, but he had to protect as many civilians and one was Gabriella who was standing behind me.
Then there was a bunch of rapid gun fire and nothing more, but insane fire, and I knew we would have to run as he seen soldiers
being attack.

He opened fire with the rest of the men (and women). Keeping his fire down to single shots at range, it took him a few times before he ranged the hoard in, but he got his mark and began to drop them one by one. As they advanced closer, he held the trigger down and fired in burst, trying to take as many as he could down. Seeing he had a few seconds before they got with in arms reach, he reached down and took out his bayonet and clipped to the barrel. He aimed again and let loose half his mag, aiming lower so that the recoil would drift his shots in to their heads.

It wasn't enough though, there were just too many. Men were panicking, and a sound from behind made him turn his head. Seeing a few of them, he drew the 92FS and put 2 down. He aimed at the last one and put it down as well. He turned back to the line only to come face to face with one and in a move that was more reflex, he brought the pistol up and shot it through the head. He slung the M16, it being empty, and began to slowly walk back as he picked off shots. He yelled to the others. "We need to move now!"

Griggs couldn't even hear what Sam was saying, he was to concentrated trying to keep the line as the undead just kept breaking through the line. "KEEP SHOOTING." He said with his voice in panic.

Screams were heard all over the place. Civilians mixed with the infected, it was hard to tell what was happening. Griggs went on to reload his LMG but an undead tackled him and began vomiting blood on his gas mask and trying to bit his face. Griggs began hitting the thing multiple times in the head, pushing him back until he was able to beat his head in with the stock of his weapon. He took off his bloody gas mask. Only to find even more chaos around him.
