Appearance: Costume? Light brown coat with white undershirt. The coat itself is coated with stealth-armed plates to avoid, or at least reduce, detections. The man is strikingly similar with Forest Whitaker.
Affiliation: Aegis
Powers/Skills:

Powers :
Regenerative Healing Factor
Superhuman Reflexes, Speed, and Stamina. Slightly faster than Nightwing's speed so his superhuman isn't significantly higher, only slightly.

Skills :
Advanced military training
Expert hand-to-hand combatant
Peak human conditioning
Parkour
Weaknesses:

Still a normal human despite the regenerative healing factor, so multiple and numerous attacks would surely kill him. Also, he is lacking experience in social interactions.

Backstory: Born as Albert Worthington Jr, he was a soldier within the service of the Conglomerate, produced and developed from birth as a mean to developed a super-soldier. Of course, the only thing that can be given at first was regenerative healing factor, but that's more than enough. As he grew older, he was given nothing more but general education and extensive military training and knowledge alongside many others beside him.

Of course, it was revealed that the project was nothing more but a prototype project, a testing field and experiment. They will age like normal human and viewed as trained mooks instead of front-line super soldiers. Nevertheless, it was never revealed to the soon-to-be sacrificed mooks.

One day, the lab where they were stationed was attacked by the Patriots and in the ensuing battle, Albert fled. He has only his name and skills at that time, but he worked his way to be a trained freelancer and occasional mercenary-for-hire, eventually allowed himself to be recruited in the service of Aegis.

Optional:Lacking social experience, he tends to be isolate himself from the others and classified as a strange superhuman with extensive military training.

Perhaps the most one, in fact. If not for the lack of social experience for disguise.

Can I add a power?

I'd like Richard also to be able to imprison people in art that he creates, if possible. Again, only he can let them out. However, once it's done, Richard doesn't have to concentrate on it. The person being drawn/painted is perfectly fine and normal, until Richard is "done" with his art project, in which case the person then is suddenly transported away and trapped.

Name: Richard Weinkauf
Alias/Designation: The Artisan
Age: 62

Appearance: out of costume: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mem ... -prefix=en
in costume: Richard wears a tan trench coat (open), black gloves, a black skier's mask that covers his head, and a black fedora. Under his coat Richard wears a brown suit.

Affiliation: none
Powers/Skills:
Powers - Richard's main ability is the power to make art real. This applies to classic works of "high" art that might be found in a museum, not comic art. The effect is that Richard can make what the drawing, painting, sculpture, or other portrays, to appear. These "artistic appearances" have a boundary that separates them from the real world. He can put other characters in these new artistic worlds, and what was portrayed, now becomes their new world (so these other characters can get lost, wounded, disoriented, etc). People can see the boundary from the outside, but cannot see any boundary or "outside" to reality if they are in this "artistic reality". If anyone crosses the boundary, they are in there too. Those inside who have technological sensors can now only scan what happens in that new "artistic reality" and not the real world. Only Richard can let people out, which happens either voluntarily, or if Richard loses concentration (these worlds exist only as long as Richard can concentrate on them, which also means he can only have one "artistic new reality" up and running at a time.)

Richard can also turn himself into a living statue or sculpture. It has to be a statue that's already created, and not one from Richard's imagination. (He has to see the details).

For this reason, Richard carries a journal that has several prints of works of art that he finds useful for turning into new "appearances." Also several prints of statues and sculptures.

Skills - an artist's eye for detail and a good memory.
- skill in several kinds of art (mostly painting, some sculpting and others). Also well-versed in art history.
- teaching
- speaks German fluently

Weaknesses: - Richard has no super abilities in fighting. He's a fit, older man, but very poor in almost any combat with another super person.
- Richard depends a lot on his journal. If he loses that, or finds himself away from other art he can't get the details for well, he's very powerless.
- Richard can only do one artistic reality at a time. He has to concentrate on it, which means he is exposed to anyone else not in his artistic reality.

Backstory: Richard Weinkauf was 21 when the original 5 superheroes who formed the Conglomerate came to publicity. And it was around this time that Richard's powers manifested themselves too. While attracted at first to the Conglomeration because they could openly show the world their powerful abilities, Richard became disenfranchised with them over time. He has lived through all the events that have made this world what it is, a fractured society with Conglomeration, Patriots and Aegis at war. Because of this, he is cynical of political promises, agencies and politics in general. As well as about most things, too.

Art is Richard's life-long passion. He went into teaching because he enjoyed it and it gave him the ability to be around art permanently. He has taught in three high schools, most recently in Phoenix. He is at the age when he is starting to consider retirement from teaching. Richard has continued creating art throughout his life, and has had some of his works on display in small shows and museums. He is not known for his artwork by the general public, and few specialists would recognize his name, even though he remembers opportunities that might have given him his break had things turned out differently.

Richard is a widower. His wife, Mary, died decades ago in a car accident. He never remarried. Richard has an adult son, Paul, 35 years old, who he is estranged from. Paul is the only one who knows Richard's powers. Richard raised Paul alone as a single father. Paul has no powers of his own, and is an active member of the Patriots who want to reclaim the country against the Conglomerate. Richard wishes that the division in their relationship was healed, but Paul remains unwilling.

So looking at the weakness, does this mean that attempting to trap someone in a painting can be interrupted if he is attacked?

It would definitely be an interruption. But, just as working on art can be set down for another time, so also he could be in the middle of working on trapping someone in art and have to divert his attention elsewhere. But, if he was in decent health (he wouldn't work on art if he had the flu. Nor, on the other extreme, if his hands were suddenly lopped off...), he could get back to it. I guess he could start a project and wait years, and then finish it years later.

Richard probably wouldn't be doing this in combat, anyway. That would take a lot more time and artistic concentration, and Richard would probably want to be alone to work on his craft if he were to do that.

So what do you say?

Theme Song: Richard goes classical, impressionistic - just like some artists he prefers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4240QMQ1jhU
D&D Alignment: (Wouldn't you like to know?)

Accepted.

Thanks. I think I will tie in this newly granted power into Richard's backstory, particularly why his son Paul is estranged from him.
The Clockwork Circus - Welcome to a steampunk RP rife with crime, gangs, beggars, and starting off as the lowest of the low, in the lowest socio-economic place there is.

I'm confused as to why this post seems to quote another user, even though their unfinished app was different.

Oh yeah sorry. I can't copy and paste so I quoted someone else and changed the stuff and broke the quote. Is he accepted?
