Not really, Theriam is more the stronger the inertia of a weapon, the stronger his defenses are. If he was to fight many Inquisitors he would not have any advantage really. Theraim gets an advantage against spellbreakers and other enchanters.
Well, if the magic is thrown at him, he will absorb the quantity of magic as well, technically.
His ability is to absorb any inertia, as far as I know, you can still be thrown around by magic, it can be somewhat physical.
Where it wouldn't properly work is if the person does debuffs, or time based damage, or even something that is simply instant, with no inertia, or little inertia, not much to do without it.
But there's still the physical aspect of things.
Which kind of makes him a person about as dangerous as Ajax or Charlotte.
