Being impaled or crucified is not a death I want to experience. It's not one I would wish on some one unless it was a crime like mentioned above.

The last two are easy to ignore but it's not at the same time. It's usually only something you read in history books or goes unreported because well it takes place in Africa.

Part of it is how we are raised. Part of it is culture. In western Civilization and Russia, children are thought to be the purest of humans as they don't know right from wrong till generally ages 12 to 14. This mainly due to religion and culture born into.

One of my friends is fighting his charge of rape leveled against him. He was falsely accused by his wife's parents when his wife was still a teen and they were dating.

Romans did that kind of stuff over 1500 years ago thought. I think there are better ways to punish criminals. Most of the methods we're using right now suck, but maybe we should introduce things like labor camps where criminals can do dirty work nobody else wants to do.

Like, give them a punishment that fits their crime and send them to a labor camp. Can you imagine a castrated rapist toiling away in a labor camp for the rest of his life? I think that's a pretty good punishment...
