Depending on the fall, she might get a pneumothorax (varying healing time), broken ribs (several weeks), and depending on if she was wearing a helmet or not she may just straight up die from head trauma, get a concussion at the very least. Falling from a roof is no laughing matter.
But I do admit, dramatic effect would be good, and this is XCOM so bodies are gonna stack up.

Speaking of explosions, Wolfram's an engineering major. How welcome would he be in the Engineering bay?

She'll probably have an extremely bruised side, since I was assuming it's a second floor fall. Maybe a cracked rib or something which could allow her to continue after some XCOM painkillers. Speaking from experience of roof jumping and leaping from 2nd floors about 10 years ago.

Lets not ignore that this is XCom... they have some kind of advanced healing. Soldiers that were almost dead take like a week to be ready for combat again.

Then again it does depend upon what the injury is and what XCOM's medical facility is like. Broken ribs take about 6 weeks to heal. Then we need to talk about prosthetics since I think someone's arm and leg are beyond salvaging since the weapon burned through the flesh. Just thinking about these things, both of my characters are medical professionals.
