Anything that could prove useful in understanding the body, genetics, chemicals, etc. Engineering handles all the gadgets, S&R handles anything organic.

Roster is currently being updated. NPC's have been moved to Off Duty for the time being until active characters have been placed, so if you request a change then do so now. Otherwise I'll make balanced teams.

Reid could authorize a transfer but Barbs would likely be able to make the decision as well given that it effects his team composition.

Realized we had a Skyranger pilot character but not a Raven pilot character. Did you have one in mind, or is that position open to submissions?

Big Sky was gonna take a spin in a Raven during the events of one major plot moment but never considered a Raven pilot as, truthfully, their role would be limited as much of the action would be on the ground, though a few moments could use some pilots.

Cool. Don't know what you had in mind regarding the Raven as we've seen nothing of it thus far, and i'm not sure how in-depth that aspect would be explored either. But i'm happy to make a character if given the greenlight, might be tonight or tomorrow for the app to be up.

Wasn't FireBrand the Xcom 2 Skyranger pilot?

I couldn't be arsed to play BF1 like i was going to so here's this. Shooting off to bed now so corrections will most likely be done tomorrow.

Name: Juliana Coburn
Nickname: Coyote
Age: 34
Sex: F
Nationality: American
Appearance: Coburn

Rank: Corporal
Class: Raven Pilot
Weapon: Raven Weapons Systems
Gear: Handgun, Smoke Grenade

Previous Assignment:
187th Fighter Wing, USAF

Skills: Razor sharp reactions, quick thinker and able to react to rapidly changing situations, just a few of the characteristics needed by an experienced fighter pilot, Juliana showes all of these and more. She is able to operate a plethora of military grade aircraft and weapons systems with relative ease.

Weakness: Prone to tunnel vision and putting herself in detrimental situations and unnecessary risk in the midst of battle, not too talkative either.

Personality: Juliana is your typical fighter pilot jock, though quite notably she is Female, which isn't too common of a thing in her line of work. She pushes herself above and beyond her limits to prove to herself and others that she is just as capable as her male counterparts, perhaps even more so. Due to this she is rather self-absorbed and inward, in some aspects mature and others lacking, but one thing is for sure, she doesn't take shit from anybody.

Bio:
Juliana, or Julia for short was born in Huntsville, Alabama to a medium income family living in an upmarket end of town, she lived a relatively normal life for such a child given her position, though her christian family held strong religious values and morals and attended church every Sunday. Growing up Julia wasn't interested in what most other girls were into, preferring to play football with the stronger and often more heavy handed boys, much to the chagrin of her parents. As much as they tried to instill more traditionalist ideas into her head, it would ultimately fail as Julia continued to resist and show more independence.

By no means did this make her stupid or less intelligent, as a pre-teen and teenager her grades in school were above average in most cases, though she paid more mind to aspects such as gym and more physical activities, she was a decent track runner and found a knack for soccer within her local high school team. As she grew, her parents became less begrudging and more accepting of her differences to other children, still they attempted to nudge her down a more 'normal' route when it came to a career path, they had something like accounting or medicine in mind, when Julia announced she wished to join the armed forces, needless to say it came as more than a shock.

Julia was to move out as soon as possible and after a few odd jobs around town, found herself down the recruitment office, at first she applied for a frontline combat role yet the military was still strict on female soldiers and offered her something in the air force instead. The rest is history, she applied to become a pilot, aced the physical and mental aptitude tests, was a natural behind the stick of a plane and was deployed first as a Weapons Officer aboard an F-16 in Iraq, later as a pilot as the war drew to its close, though she has never been in an actual dogfight, all of her training and exercises show she is more than capable of handling such a task and her excellent combat record as well as veterency drew the attention of XCom, soon she found herself at the helm of one of the most technologically advanced aircraft on the planet.

I take it soldiers in XCOM are given standing orders to remove any threats to humanity's security however they see fit?

For the most part. If you came across someone selling secrets to, I don't know, aliens in Russia you'd be expected to at the very least report it. The Council probably likes to dictate things but can't really fault you for taking a hands on approach to the matter if need be. Did you have something in mind?

Also, posted. Introducing Rachel Kruger.

Also, I realized she's probably the lowest ranked one with others getting promoted :/

HANDGUN, MACHINE PISTOL, and SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN are universal sidearms that anyone can use.

So what is the difference between MACHINE PISTOL and SUB-MACHINE GUN? I'm just asking, though. Is it a smaller version of SMG?

Does the Council has its own intelligence agency that keep eyes on individuals with powerful positions to see whether or not they are selling secrets/conspiring/allied themselves with the aliens?

A mildly veiled request to Zander asking him to control Aiko's behavior along the lines of 'Any further attempts by Lieutenant Akiyama to undermine unit cohesion will be construed as an attempt to undermine XCOM's combat capability; and in turn the safety and security of Earth and all it's denizens. And appropriate action will be taken.'

Of course this would require Miyuki to actually inform Wolfram of what happened.

Basically. The machine pistol is lighter and can be fired with one hand as opposed to the SMG. Range is worse than the SMG (if that was possible) and magazine size is likely smaller as well. One-on-one the SMG is a better weapon but the machine pistol works well as a sidearm should the handgun not cut it.

Anowa wrote:...

Was gonna have Zander say something to her anyway but Barbs beat me to it. Unit cohesion would likely fall under Reid's jurisdiction as opposed to the Council, and to Altito the Council no doubt has some sort of means of gathering intelligence. Likely has plants in most national intelligence organizations such as MI6 or the CIA.

Hmm, it depends really, since Aiko should be more experienced and professional in whole, Miyuki being her main tick.

It's funny how in my platoon back then, a section had a couple of peeps who hated each other to the core due to differing attitudes. The rest of the plat disliked them as well, but what was the most petty feeling was how the two managed to ace any challenge the commanders created in the course, faster than the other sections.

Could credit it to the generally apathetic nature of us and the other sections, but if troops give themselves a double tap to the helmet in a psyching move before entering the field, their argument might actually have minimal effect.

I was thinking a day or two actually. Two days from the recovery from her wounds, sitting on the MK-II, and confinement to mere porridge before she worked up an appetite.

Also, I think my new low is watching my one vote turn to zero.

I voted for Vasily too though
I don't know what I'm s'posed to do.
