Just to clarify, is there a seeker behind milky or not? If not can I claim it?

Also a random question but do we all come equipped with combat knives as standard kit?
Yo, that's mad.

The Seeker is still invisible (I assumed she was taking fire from the Sectoids) so you can if you can find it though it's not actively engaging at this point in time. As for the knife, I figure everyone would have a basic kit for knives and simple things if need be.

I figured I'd just run past it without knowing and it would slink up behind me.

It feels weird using a coin flip to determine whether or not your guy kicks the barrel.

Sorry for the delay. CoD actually had a decent enough campaign to keep me interested for a bit, and then my jobs kept me busy all day today. Finishing the mission most likely tomorrow night.

I'm attempting to pull Malik out of the smoke... decided to leave it open since that is likely to draw some kind of response.

Haven't played multi-player yet. Campaign isn't the best thing ever plot wise but I actually care enough about the characters to remember their names. May not buy right away but it may be the first CoD I'd pay money for since Black Ops.

EDIT: Post coming soon.

It feels really strange when your character is probably the only one so far who has yet to be injured/incapacitated.

Someone really needs to hit on Elsa. With plasma.

Better to keep it that way.

But I honestly feel it is a bit unfair when I didn't allow Elsa to be injured.

We're just into the second mission. Plenty of chances. Milky now gets a morale crisis after scoring a succession of kills.

I've had games of XCOM where soldiers would remain untouched for a long period simply through luck and strategic positioning (which is to say more luck). Stay around in XCOM long enough and you're bound to get injured. Part of the job. Truth be told this mission had a high injury rate and, should another mission happen right after (which can and will happen at times) a lot of you would be forced on the bench. Injuries are bad for the team as a whole so no one will be upset that you walked away from this one on your own two feet.

Mission 02: Apocalypto
Alien activity successfully neutralized (Sectoid x21 + Strider x1 + Seeker +2). Minimal loss of life. Sergeant Herrman, Corporal Ai Nu, Corporal Konayama, Squaddie Franklin, Squaddie Joon-Sook, and Squaddie Regis have received minor injuries and are cleared to return to active duty after rest. Sergeant Setadewa, Corporal Ramirez, and Squaddie Valdez have suffered traumatic injuries and have been transferred to Groom Lake medical ICU. Squaddie Seif was killed in action and has been awarded the posthumous promotion to Corporal.

Sergeant Barbs, Corporal Ivanov, and Squaddie Franklin are under review for possible promotion.

I'll have an Akiyama vs Miyuki encounter coming up, after most of the troops recovered. Would happen in the cafeteria.

Sounds good. Expect maybe a week+ timeskip for the next interaction period. People with minor injuries should be all good and the others should be able to walk at least (or so I hope). My next post will be up maybe tomorrow for Sunday.

Love to have Vasily as Seta permanent deputy. He's much more experienced. By significant margin.

Addendum : After this, some of my posts will get very, very dark, disturbing, etc. In short, I'll write about what happened to Seta. Alive, but now he's "Shaken". And suffered nightmares. Hadn't regain his consciousness after the operation.

New goal: Get Konayama and Akiyama to make up. If I were to rationalize her behavior I'd say that Akiyama is upset that Konayama advanced so quickly when she herself was likely slow moving through the ranks despite her skill, and given that Konayama was a part of several failed missions and still advanced it made lashing out at her even easier. Akiyama might be jealous and handling it her own way.

Pretty much, and it was a general belief with some members back in the SFG. Doesn't help when a flirtatious rookie comes in and was always seen with men. In XCOM she's already began a toned down version with Samir and Roscoe, and people who view the standards of their unit highly like Akiyama felt that such attitudes have no place in these units.

Working on the OP. Several items have been tweaked to give a more thorough explanation such as grenade count and effectiveness between thrown versus launched. Grappling Hook is now available to SNIPERS. Added two new sidearms: MACHINE PISTOL and SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN. New RESEARCH options are soon to be added.

EDIT: Ghost Armor and Advanced Training have been added to RESEARCH.
