In my opinion, I would keep it to weapons that are functionally the same, and use the same ammo.

Well we could have three if Bei allows it. Hell, I once dared to have an all sniper unit in XCOM. Was actually pretty ridiculous cause literally everything was sniped in overwatch. Those poor Sectoids never knew what hit them. The Thin Men though, those guys can go fuck themselves....and the Floaters....

Konayama Miyuki was born in Nara, Japan, to the Konayama Clan, the third of five children. Being a middle child, Miyuki was often looked after by her older brothers, and being the only girl in the five, was often pampered and bullied by her siblings during her childhood. She took it in stride, often joining them in their games and playing pranks on each other, even watching advertisements on the JSDF which her oldest brother wanted to join in the future. Working hard, Miyuki built her stamina and agility over the years, her small frame unable to bulk up for long despite her best efforts.

Finishing her education as one of the national Top 5%, Miyuki enlisted in the JSDF together with her brothers, entering the infantry while her siblings were dispatched to different branches. Her steady hands from years of sewing and crafting delicate materials paid off when handling a scoped precision rifle, her calmness ensuring that she hardly misses due to individual mistake. Miyuki's calmness and steely determination placed her on track to a elite force of the Infantry, before she got picked up by the Special Forces Group, who upon observation of her capabilities, wanted her as part of their Direct Action branch, a role accepted by Miyuki with enthusiasm.

Over time, XCOM approached the SFG for an applicant into the organization. Out of five shortlisted candidates, Konayama Miyuki, Sniper, got selected. With a new weapon and training, it would be up to this petite soldier to understand where her role was, and how she would play it out in the days to come.
