You're not a bad op and shouldn't abandon this RP, that's just the issue we have.

Tbh now that I read the long version of the History I realized what this RP is. Austria, stick to what you are amazing at, RPs like the Band of Brothers one.

That's saying that you have potential here for a decent RP, but when you make character RPs like the one I mentioned they have the potential to be masterpieces.
Thanks, problem is Historical Character RPs are THE most neglected genre of RP. The RP I did just before this, Intrigue in the Tudor Court, I had planned to be my masterpiece. Best OP I had ever written, solid rules and mechanics, and I already had a dozen events planned for the RP. I got almost no interest, even after putting the link to it in my signature and advertising it in three threads.

Well, it depends on when they're set. I'm interested in historical character roleplays, but I know nothing about the Tudor Court.

Well I agree that it is certainly the most neglected genre. I didn't see it. Had I seen it I would've easily joined it. I was just less available earlier this summer and therefore confined myself to the RPs I was already in and the Roma RP I had just joined, which was a fairly successful character RP until the OP and a key RPer got 'bored' and quit just before the biggest plot twist I had ever been part of was about to unfold.

Basically, 1700s on either Barbados or Montserrat. The characters are either African slaves, Irish indentured servants, English merchants and plantation owners, or Spanish soldiers. The Africans and Irish start plotting together to overthrow the colonial government and declare independence with Spanish aid.
This almost happened in real life on both islands, but on Montserrat it was put down and on Barbados they kept it from starting.

I just had a figurative orgasm. Beautiful idea.
