Well I've still got no idea really what I'm doing anymore, and that PoD makes me sad because now I need a bullshit excuse to toss the Palaiologos back onto the throne so I don't have icky Franks instead, and maybe I can merge with Greece because if the most libertarian country to ever exist suddenly becomes a Scottish monarchy and merges with Mexico, why not Italy and Greece.

So I looked up how the Kingdom of Italy got that flag. Of course, it's the Savoy emblem. The blue line around it is because blue was their dynastic colr. I think I've made appropriate edits for my AH variant...

If I remember correctly, it is de facto Russian, but de jure run by the Metropolitan of Nova Archangelsk.
