Can I ask what exactly happened during the battle/Siege of the north by the Fire nation?

I've got it written out in the OP intro that one of the reasons the assault on the Northern Capital failed was because Zhao essentially disobeyed orders in order to pursue the moon spirit. Because the Avatar was never found, he wouldn't have gotten all the resources and promotions he did. So his attempt to kill the moon spirit, without the entire force behind him, lead to the destruction of his portion of soldiers and the dissolve of command structure during the assault.

Not sure if our OP wants to stick with that, though.

Jaslandia wrote:OP, do you think we could add some air units to this RP? Not only would the Fire Nation likely have air balloons from the Mechanist, but I imagine the Northern Air Temple would also have some, though not as many as the Fire Nation. The Fire Nation may also have airships/zeppelins.

If I remember Sokka gave the idea to the mechanist about the Hot Air Balloon, but I can't remember.

The Mechanist came up with the basic idea, but Sokka suggested the lid mechanism that made the hot air balloon function. Still, hot air balloons aren't exactly a complex device, so I imagine the Mechanist could figure it out for himself in the span of about two years.

The Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom had been vying for control for decades while fighting the various Sand Bender Tribes and trading with the neutral Beetle Merchants. Within two years, the Kingdom had started to rise to regional power status as Desert culture evolved into two groups, strong sand bending tribes and beetle herding trading guilds. The Sand Benders have become militaristic as they were reformed the raiding tribes into an elite bending force as the trading along outposts and the three cities that had grown thanks to the reforms that had been happening across the desert and increase trading with local towns and Omashu.

Misty Springs Oasis is the capital and largest city in the Si Wong as it holds all of the trade that is ever going and coming through the Kingdom. Another city that was built was called Wei Qi. Wei Qi is known as the City of the Sand as it became home to the military and of the study of Sand Bending after Gao personally invest in it in order to spread Sand Bending. Because of the rise of cities and power, the people of the Si Wong have started to have doubts about the rule of Ba Sing Se and an independence movement had started to form while some believe that Ce should be instilled in Ba Sing Se to form a more unified Earth Kingdom.

Diplomatic Relations: The Kingdom trades with other Regional powers in the Earth Kingdom but there has been an air of hostility against Ba Sing Se for some time.

To be honest it really isn't much like a city, it's more like a humongous guild place where people can trade, and sell and buy things with housing and supplies. So it'd be a lot like Venice-ish. The majority of the benders are water benders, due to being a trading city. Their navy is the thing they boast, though the majority of it is comprised of merchant ships. The history of the city lies somewhat unknown when a group of anonymous earthbenders set up a port city on air nomad territory. It started out a somewhat of an inn, and just grew. This city doesn't really have cultural practices. It's only thing that gets you through as a citizen is your ability to use a ship. To sail, steer, it doesn't matter. As long as you're useful on deck. It's on the verge of being a trading post and a city, so nobody really bothers. People come and go, or some people stay. Though the majority of the populace are mixed benders, fire benders being the least common, there are still some muggles nonbenders. They do the same, though water benders do much better getting to destinations.

Diplomatic Relations: Neutral to each nation. They intend to stay that way, or at least Nanol does.

I added the 1.5x of the mines for the Earth Bending pro. Mines should be 23GPs instead of 15GPs, which give them that sort of boost.

No first of all their is not enough platinum on this world to justify or afford a Mech (Hahahaha) and it conflicts with how the show originally showed metal-bending. They were not bending metal but rather the Earth within the metal. I always chalked this up to the fire nation not having mastered smelting, but in Korra any metal is bendable besides Platinum. No, no, no. If we were to go with the concept they described then once any discovers the Bessemer Process they should be safe from metal-bending. Any purified metal should be safe.

Also a Mech, bwahahaha!
