Since Baelish is once again an NPC character and I am his liege-lord, I am invoking Liege-Right and taking him as a temporary aux so I can push my Jaime plot forward.

I always thought there were too few swords on it in the show

In the books, the King looks down at all his subjects from up high on the Throne. However D&D had a hard time getting that to work in the show, so to make sure the actors interacted better made the Throne smaller, sadly.

You know the basic shape of the average playground slide? They could have at least done something similar to that and covered the frame/stairs with the fake swords. That woulda looked kickass.

I have a suspicion that somewhere in your backyard sits something very similar to this, how else could you come up with such an awesome way to make one

Unfortunately not. But wouldnt that be freaking awesome if the show did that instead of making this stupid little chair?

I think it was supposed to be the swords of a lot of the notable people who fought against Aegon in Aegon's Conquest, as well as the compiled swords of thousands of other such notable persons who angered the Targaryens.

The Iron Throne was constructed by Aegon I Targaryen, the first king of the Seven Kingdoms. Aegon the Conqueror had the throne made from the swords surrendered by his enemies. It is supposed to have taken a thousand blades to make, heated in the breath of Balerion the Black Dread. The hammering took fifty-nine days.
