In their place, an alternative party finally appears. The right wing-aligned Partido da Mudança (Party of Change in english) that eventually defeats all opposition ( the communist/leftist coalition as well as the PSD right/center party) in the post-coup elections. The country effectively starts improving as corruptiion is hunted down. Seeing this, the Spanish people elect their very own alternative party which then begins promoting a union between both countries in order to ban EU-dominion from the peninsula. The thought of leaving the EU and not suffering many repercussions due to the new union makes both peoples very happy and it comes to happen in a successful peninsula-wide referendum. Now both countries and peoples are united and have forsaken the EU which had caused much anger among the Iberians due to their austerity measures. Iberia's story begins here.
