- GALACTIC ALLIANCE -

Senate Dome | Alinora | Alliance Sovereign Space

"My friends, the dawn of war is cresting over the horizon, and while it may not appear as such, it is the truth."

Chancellor Vestus, an old frail main with a strong and powerful voice, looked around at the thousands of representatives of the Senate. These men and women, from all races, represent their systems and worlds, and all have equal voice in the governing of the Alliance. It was a system first adopted by the Alliance, and the nation remains one of the few in the Galaxy to maintain it. While many, especially the Cho'Dosan with their dictators, believe that democracy is weak, it has done nothing but make the Galactic Alliance a superpower. A place where all, regardless of race or religion, are able to live free with equal opportunities. It is a place with the ideas of racial supremacy no longer exist in strength, and where most find themselves holding hands those of other species. It was the Senate that allowed the Alliance to flourish the way it does, and the brave soldiers who gave their lives in it's defense. Though once again, the Alliance is at risk, but this time the Senate would so helplessly ignore the signs. It was the duty of the Chancellor to convince them of the very real, and very present threat.

"The Covenant is currently engaged in border conflicts with the Tagali Federation - a mere flex of their muscles that is undoubtedly directed towards us. They are sending a message to the Alliance - telling us that they are ready for a fight, and I fear that in the coming weeks we may enter our fourth Raxis War. The Covenant is strong, my friends, but the Galactic Alliance is stronger." There was a short clap from the Senators before Vestus continued speaking. "The Cho'Dosan beast may bear it's teeth, but the Alliance will bring a sledgehammer down on it's head. But this time, we will not stop until the Covenant homeworld burns."

Chalkuze City | Orbit of Jakala | Tagali Federation

Though rushed due to being late, Senator Piella Farnon was still able to observe the beauty of the habitat that the Tagali had built in the rings of Jakala's orbit. She suspected that these rings were among the first goals for the Tagali people when they entered their Space Exploration Age, much like the Twin Moons were the cause of many wars between the early Alinoran nations nearly 20,000 years ago. Senator Farnon, who represented Alinora on the Alliance Senate, has been dispatched to the Federation's military summit to represent the nation by Chancellor Vestus himself, though they were running late due to technical problems with her personal ship.

Walking towards the meeting area of the diplomats, Senator Farnon turned to her head advisor: an Altmori man named Taer Favv. "What do you think we can expect here? Do you think the Covenant will have shown?" she asked.

"Most likely" Favv answered. "The Covvies never miss an opportunity to flex their diplomatic muscles."

"What muscles?" Farnon joked. The small group of Alliance diplomats entered the area with the other diplomats...

"Naturally," replied Niels Rasmussen. "With the United Nations being the way it is today, not having top notch AI production would ruin us, would it not?"

The representative paused, gathering his thoughts.

Multi-species polities. Interesting. Quite unthinkable in the United Nations.

"Anyways, it is that time of the decade again in the United Nations," he continued. "Everybody is feverishly preparing for the next General Elections. The Social Democrats are polling strongly, but I think the Liberals will keep holding the government. Perhaps I will even run for Secretary-General."

Tagali Federation

The Crown Prince listened to the Selinian's question. How did the Commonwealth function? Well, he supposed it might be hard to explain to a xeno, but then again, many didn't understand the Commonwealth's government process beyond the monarchy's acting as executives. Victus looked at his uncle, deciding he'd give his uncle a chance to speak and explain it. Besides, the Viceroy probably had more experience when it came to the Commonwealth's government than the Crown Prince had to offer. At least, at the moment. Remrayed bowed his head respectfully to the Crown Prince, and looked over to the Selinians again. He spoke after composing his answer.

"The Zhyrrian Commonwealth is what one might call... well, it is an empire, of sorts, but it is also, primarily, a commonwealth. The Imperial Congress is a tricameral legislature, with the House of Representatives being elected directly by the people, as well as the House of Lords. The House of Lords is filled with Lords and Governors from various systems and sectors, elected by the people; however, sometimes, they are put into power by the Imperial family.

The final house, the House of Royalty, is full of the Imperial family's members and the like; giving the Imperial family a say in the legislative process. Though, to pass a law or some other such thing, the Imperial Congress only requires the House of Representatives and House of Lords, the House of Royalty comes into play for Constitutional amendments. All amendments must pass through both the House of Lords, and then the House of Representatives, before being passed on to the House of Royalty. If the Imperial family agrees, and the Emperor or Empress in rule- or the Regent in rule, if the next Crown Prince or Princess is not able to act as monarch- approves of the amendment, it is made.

The Emperor or Empress has supreme executive authority when it comes to military and domestic or international politics, but the Imperial family are able to act as ambassadors and such. The Emperor or Empress also has some legislative authority, as they are included in the House of Royalty. The High Courts of Zyr are the judiciary branch, with nine Justices or Judges to decide constitutionality of laws on all levels; four Justices are elected directly by the people, four are put into power by the Imperial Congress, and the final Justice is put into power by the acting Emperor or Empress, or in some cases, the acting Regent. Specialized non-monarchial Regents are put into power over systems or sectors, as well as put into the House of Lords, during times of war or strife by the Imperial family.

That is the Zhyrrian Commonwealth.
", the Viceroy finished his long explanation of Zhyrrian politics. Most people knew or suspected that is how the Zhyrrian government worked, so those close enough to overhear it were just confirming rumors or suspicions in all likelihood. Remrayed wondered what the xenos thought of the Commonwealth's system.

The Voice of the People - The Daily Broadcast of the GKU

"Greetings Loyal Citizens of the GKU this is the Voice of the People. The official news network sanctioned by the GKU Government and blessed by the Supreme Leader."

"We begin today's broadcast with foreign affairs in the Galaxy. Citizens in the Galactic Alliance were massacred today by Government Forces when they tried to revolt against their rulers due to rampart food shortages in the Galactic Alliance due to the greedy financial Warlords. It has been said that one soldier who suppressed the revolt remarked, 'We should use their blood to give our streets a new coat of paint.' So far the Galactic Community has remained silent at this atrocity committed by the Galactic Alliance Warlords as they continue their oppression of their own people. An unbiased Galactic Civil Rights group has labeled the Galactic Alliance as one of the most brutal dictatorships seen in recent Galactic history."

"In domestic news, the Supreme Leader has just announced in his address to the Party that food production this month has skyrocketed to record high levels unprecedented in the last Ninth Year Plan. He has also announced that a special scientific committee has been formed to reevaluate the usage and potential of nuclear power in the defense and prosperity of our nation. With the Galactic Alliance Imperialists eyeing our prosperous nation, the Supreme Leader has deemed it necessary to lower the conscription age from 21 years to 18 years and extend the length of service from three to five years. He has also announced that food quality shall improve by the next year."

"We shall now take a break from the news to our next holo-film, The Greatest of Escapes. A film based on a true story of a family of humans running away from the Galactic Alliance and seeking refuge in the GKU. This is a family film and has been given positive reviews by numerous critics both abroad and at home."

Ambassador Aieme could barely flow the whole talk regarding the functioning of the Government of the Zhyrrian Commonwealth but still tried to follow along. After the Viceroy was done with his miniature lecture, H'adeen chuckled for a few seconds.

"I do apologize but I must have not made myself clear to my intentions. I wanted to know what your nation was like? Such as what food you ate? What was your culture? What is the most beautiful spot in the Commonwealth? But since you told me about your government I feel obligated to tell you about ours." He took a deep breath before speaking.

"The Government of the Autonomous Selinian Republic consists of three branches of government which is the legislative, executive and judicial. The legislative and the executive branches are combined since we have a parliamentary system. Political parties have to be approved by the government, consist of people with healthy PHIs, and be approved by the Prophet System. All candidates selected for the legislature by the parties must be approved by the Prophet System. Prospective candidates must take a test to confirm if they are eligible for public office by the Prophet System. Of course some people are already chosen by the Prophet System to be politicians and bureaucrats due to their score in the placement test. Our legislative consists of two chambers, the Chamber of the People and the Chamber of the Elders. The Chamber of the People is effectively the government while the Chamber of the Elders is more of a ceremonial post. The party or parties who control the Chamber of the People becomes the government and gets to decide upon the positions of the Prime Minister, his or her cabinet and other executive posts. Control is established when a party or a group of parties in a coalition form a majority in the Chamber. Laws are passed by approval from both Chambers of the legislative. Selinian citizens can vote for policies and parties in the elections so long as they are registered and have healthy PHIs."

"The Prime Minster has the power to appoint executive posts such as Ambassadors from an approved list of candidates by the Prophet System, foreign affairs, suggest new laws to the Chamber, and other things. The Prime Minister is chosen from a list of prospective candidates by the parties which are approved by the Prophet System. As for the judicial system there is a Supreme Court but all things regarding the enforcement and implementation of law is handled by the Ministry of Public Welfare. But there are really only two types of punishments in the ASR, mental health treatment or execution. This is determined by the an subject's PHI which is determined by color hues and C2s."

He paused momentarily when he realized his error. "Ah, I forgot to explain the Prophet System. It is a big concept in the ASR and a cornerstone of the entire Republic." But before he could explain the woman who had been silent this whole time began to speak.

"I can take care of the rest, Ambassador." She spoke curtly. "The Prophet System is a classified piece of software that monitors the entire population of the ASR. It is our deterrent against all forms of crime in the ASR. It scans the brain of the individual to determine if they are likely to commit a crime and if they pose a threat to society. This scan is registered as a PHI which is a Psychological Health Index. This Psychological Health Index is determined by color hues and crime-likelihood index or C2 for short. For a person to be considered healthy he or she must have a clear color hue such as light blue or light pink and a C2 of 0 to 99. If a person is scanned and registers to have a darker hue and a deteriorated C2 they are liable to enforcement action. Enforcement action is determined by the offender's C2. If their C2 is 100 to 299 they are considered a latent criminal and will be taken to a isolation facility for mental health treatment. They are to remain in the isolation facility until their PHI gets better. If their C2 is 300 and above they are considered a dangerous criminal and will be executed immediately. Dark color hues often indicate deteriorated PHIs and these go hand in hand with C2s. If a person's color hue is steel blue or medium green they are more likely to commit a crime. If their color hue is white they are criminally asymptotic. If their color hue is black its is beyond recognition and they are considered dangerous criminals."

"Of course PHIs deteriorate due to stress and this can be caused in numerous ways. But this is reminded by the Prophet System and numerous mental health facilities and treatments in the ASR. The Prophet System also has other functions such as cybersecurity, traffic monitoring, and job placement. As the Ambassador said prior, every student after secondary school must take the placement test in order to determine their place in society. This placement tests provides what jobs they can take and if they are eligible for a university education. This is why all our politicians and bureaucrats are incorruptible, because the Prophet System determines that they are worthy of their position. Also I guess that is why there is little need for courts in the ASR since everyone is monitored by the Prophet System. The Ministry of Public Welfare's Enforcement Division ensures the safety of the Public and the continued health of the nation. This is the Ministry that I work in as a Judicator."

As the two Selinians finished their explanation of the Prophet System a peculiar group of individuals walked into the Gala. They wore military uniforms and had rows upon rows of medals heaped upon their military tunics. In fact some of them had their medals on one of their pant legs. They all had proud and arrogant faces and marched into the Gala with looks daring for anyone to challenge them. These poor prideful fools were the representatives of the Greater Krastikan Union in their full military formal attire. One of them yelled loudly in the Gala, "Death to the Alliance Imperialists! Glory to the Greater Union!"

"Yes, I hope for good relations between our two nations. So what does your nation produce in terms of industry and products? I was thinking that we could open up a small trading agreement to both improve relations and open up new markets on our economies"

Upon entering the room where the other delegates had assembled to talk and lounge around, Senator Piella Farnon first noticed the lack of any sort of Covenant diplomat, though she wasn't surprised. In recent days, the Covenant has found themselves engaged in border skirmishes with the Tagali Federation, and the Cho'Dosan were never one for diplomatic confrontation, and preferred to let their military do the talking. It was a shame that such a powerful nation spent most of it's time beating it's chest and threatening those it saw as inferior. The truth was, if it wasn't for the Alliance to stop them, the Covenant would've tried conquering the Galaxy ages ago. Senator Farnon, a highly respected both in her nation and among the Galactic Community, nodded and smiled to various representatives as her group walked through, but her attention was pulled away by shouting coming from across the room.

"Death to the Alliance! Glory to the Greater Union!"

Next to her, Taer Favv chuckled. "Ah, I wasn't expecting the Krastikans to be here, but since they are, things ought to become much more interesting." He turned to look at the Senator. "Shall we proceed to greet the Tagali, ma'am?"

"No, no, not yet." She paused, gazing over at the Krastikan group. "Let us greet them first." The group of Alliance officials approached the Krastikan diplomats, and Senator Farnon, wearing elegant robes with the Alliance Symbol on the front, bowed slightly out of respect. She smiled, though it was almost sarcastically. "Ambassador Aieme" she began, "it's good to see you here. I heard commotion coming from your group, and figured I'd greet you on behalf of the Galactic Alliance." Though she had a personal distaste for these people, she had been in politics all her life, and maintained a kind, friendly, and professional attitude.

Party Security Colonel Kreul Mo'Sevigh was an impatient and passionate Krastikan who was the epitome of fanaticism. His reputation in the Krastikan public has been both beloved and feared by many Krastikans. As one of the chief party officials in the Union Defense Forces, it is he who determines who is loyal to the Supreme Leader and who is not. He is known to carry his signature execution pistol which he uses to personally execute traitors and enemies of the Supreme Leader. He is respected by younger members of the Hejuc Party and feared by military officials for his harsh disciplinary actions. In the recent purge of the government and the military, he personally killed all of the people on the list along with their families and distant relatives. He has been personally awarded by the Supreme Leader on dozens of occasions and has been seen in the public spotlight favorably in the recent decade. Of course his popularity and unwavering loyalty to the party is outmatched by his love towards the Supreme Leader.

Before he even said anything, Colonel Kreul spat on the shoe of Senator Farnon. "Your flowery words mean nothing more to me than a forced confession. Your nation is built upon the backs of slave labor and the stolen wealth of the people! It is only a matter of time before the peoples rise up against your corrupted rule. And if they don't have the strength, the Greater Union will be glad to break down those rotten gates and liberate the peoples ourselves. Under the enlightened guidance of President Ereanas Sxhtra can the peoples find rest! If the President were to ask me to die today, I would not only kill myself but take as many of you dogs with me! For I shall follow him forever and even in death!" Immediately after he spoke, the ten Krastikans behind him cheered loudly.

The only senior party officials in the Krastikan Delegation was Colonel Kreul, Secretary Zelia Do'Xresta and Secretary Bathen Mo'Lothnn. The rest were young and enthusiastic party members who were chosen to be part of the delegation in order to test their zealotry and speaking power to the three officials. These young Krastikans were chosen among their peers due to their ferocity and fanaticism.

Aboard the Battleship, Chalsolis Orbit

Iso'ko led his officers, marines, and various naval personnel down the corridor. The main lights of the corridor were dimmed, and red lights flashed all along the wall, indicating that this area of the battleship had been breached all the way down to the hull. Iso'ko new that if the boarding spikes retracted, the entire battleship would likely depressurize, but he couldn't worry about this right now. In the distance, the group could hear gunfire, the screams of Cho'Dosan marines, and the dreaded roar of the Maug-Lai.

"Admiral, we should hurry," one of the marines suggested. "They are being slaughtered down there."

The admiral nodded, and the entire group began to run down the long corridor. Eventually, they would see a group of five Maug-Lai in the distance, as well as several dead marines. One of them was apparently seriously injured, and the group watched as he pulled combat knife out of his eye.

The group of Maug-Lai then charged at Cho'Dosans. Karun and two other Maug-Lai were gunned down immediately by the admiral and those in the front of the group; while they had fared well against the few Cho'Dosan marines earlier, the sheer amount of plasma bolts being fired at them was enough to take them down.

Only Akono and Jangala remained. Jangala managed to get fairly close to the Cho'Dosans, slamming two marines to the ground. However, one of the officers took out his stun baton and struck Jangala with it; an electric current would stop the Maug-Lai in his tracks. He fell to the ground, temporarily paralyzed from the strike.

Akono seemed to recognize the admiral, likely because he was wearing his armor under his official attire (so that his own personnel would recognize him in the heat of battle). While the others were still distracted, Akono attempted to pounce on the admiral, but crashed into a wall and roared. Iso'ko turned up the power of his pulse cannon to the highest setting; this was rather dangerous, as the gun would overheat very quickly if it was fired for too long, but it was necessary for situations like these.

Iso'ko would fire three shots; one shot would hit the wall, taking a massive chunk out of it and creating a cloud of smoke on the hallway, another shot would hit Akono in his left arm, blasting it off completely, while the final shot grazed Akono's chest, taking out both a chunk of his armor and his flesh. Akono collapsed to the ground, but was still alive.

With the firefight now over, the group moved forward out of the ruined blast doors without saying a word, wasting no time in helping the others.

The ship was in complete chaos at this point in the battle. All semblance of a frontline had been completely smashed as fighting broke out all across the ship. As the fighting became more in favor of the Maug-Lai, they began setting traps throughout the ship to catch any Cho'Dosan that tried to push out of their pockets.

As the Admiral and his Officer's pushed through the ship, they came across one such of these traps. As they made their way through the corridors, they set off a booby trapped explosive, launching thin metal rods all over the room. The rods speared many of the officers, either crippling them or killing them completely. The Admiral wasn't spared either, as one of the rods was shot into his back, keeping him alive, but paralyzing from the waist down. Soon after, more Maug-Lai Warriors came to the scene to see what prey their trap caught. They appeared to be led by a higher ranked Warrior judging by his armor. A hardlight shield covered his armor unlike the rest of the warriors. The lead Warrior looked over the Admiral, picking him out from the group due to his outfit. The Warrior kneeled down and spoke through his suits comms.

"I was doubtful these would catch anything, but I was mistaken. The Tagali may be cowardly, but there is much we can learn from them. Tell me, where is the leader of this vessel? We grow tired of this fighting and wish to request your surrender."

Meanwhile...

Outside of the ship, as the ships still battled on, a massive disruption of space and time began to occur. Suddenly, this disruption erupted into a massive wormhole, pouring out hundreds of Maug-Lai ships, about 500 in total. These ships were no ordinary Maug-Lai vessels, but ships of the Maug-Lai Grand Armada. The Armada ships were more ornate and technology advanced than the standard ships. Standard Federation technology like AI assistance and Hardlight shielding had been equipped on board the ships. The detachment was led by no other than the crowned prince of the Maug-Lai, M'Cholka.

The Wormhole closed as the final ship exited. The ships began to close in on the remaining Covenant ships, but did not fire. Instead, a message was received from the Crowned Prince himself.

"This is Crowned Prince M'Cholka of the Unified Tribes of the Maug-Lai. You have trespassed in territory of both the Maug-Lai and the Tagali Federation as well as fired upon the ships of my Father. As such, you have committed an act of war! To stop this from further escalating, I demand you power down your weapons and surrender your vessels, or face the ire of the Federation and worse for you the Maug-Lai."

They greeted one of the diplomats, who was flanked by guards in the docking port. However, before he could allow them any further, he demanded that they give up their weapons. The diplomat appeared to be very nervous, and seemed to have a distaste for weaponry.

Captain Kai and the Commander looked at each other, and then Captain Kai said,"Well before we give up our weaponry, we need to know exactly who we are dealing with. This is the reason we are armed in the first place."

“Who you are dealing with is a sophisticated Empire that has lasted hundreds of thousands of years, possibly as a result of not starting a war with everyone we see. The Empire of the Sun is a great nation, and we will not kill you because it really would quite badly harm relations between us. Your weapons will be returned to you when you come back here to disembark. Until then, it is expected that you relinquish them.” The diplomat said, waiting for the weapons to be given to a droid that was insistent about getting the weapons.

“I must apologize for the droid. He's an idiot due to some damage that causes him to be irreparable, but we love him, and are fairly sentimental.”

"If you think of us as children then you have already underestimated our resolve," Colonel Kreul responded. "I shall see you later and I hope that our next meeting will be at a tribunal led by a court of your oppressed people executing you for your seething corruption." He began walking away from the Alliance Senator and so did the other party officials following close behind him. The Senator's remark only gave him further resolve, resolve to see the day the Alliance is guided by the Supreme Leader. "Let us find our Big Brother." He spoke to his fellow Krastikans as they looked for the delegation from the Empire of the Sun.

As soon as the Krastakian Representative began to walk away, two Tagali Homeguardsmen, previously invisible as to not not disturb the guests, decloaked and made their presence known.

"Is something the matter Representatives?" One of the Guardsmen asked to both the Alliance and Krastakians, but was focused on the Krastakian.

"I must ask that you not make such outbursts, for they can be damaging to the peaceful nature of the Gala."

Draugo Waystation, Uncharted Regions

"Very well, we will give up our weapons," Captain Kai said. She would hand her weaponry to the robot.

As the others did the same, Kai would ask,"Before we proceed any further, could you please identify yourself as well?"

Chalsolis, Tagali Federation

At this point, there were 85 Covenant ships that were still capable of fighting, with the rest either completely destroyed or so severely damaged that they could no longer fight. Tens of thousands of Covenant military personnel, including many high-ranking officers had been killed. The fight was chaotic for the Covenant, as their formations had been broken once more. Fighting now occurred at fairly close ranges with the Maug-Lai fleet, who still outnumbered the Covenant fleet. Iso'ko gave orders whenever he could, but he was busy fighting the Maug-Lai boarding parties aboard his own battleship, which by this point was a losing fight for the Covenant. The Covenant fleet had been unable to form a cohesive attack against the battlecruisers surrounding the flagship, as there were still many enemy light ships protecting them.

Then, suddenly, reinforcements arrived in the Chal system. 500 Maug-Lai ships in total had arrive, and they closed near the remaining Covenant ships, but did not open fire. They demanded that the Covenant fleet surrender immediately and power down their vessels. There was now mass panic aboard the Covenant ships, and the admiral received many messages regarding whether or not the Covenant would surrender, but he was unable to respond.

Iso'ko, some officers, and various marines had gotten caught in one of the traps the Maug-Lai had set. Metal rods launched all over the place, piercing and killing many of the officers and soldier. A rod pierced Iso'ko in his lower spine, paralyzing him from the waist down and causing extreme pain in the rest of his body.

At this point, the admiral knew that it was over- if he refused to surrender, the fleet would be destroyed by the enemy reinforcements, and the battleship would soon be taken over by the Maug-Lai. At the same time, he knew that surrender was viewed as dishonorable in the Covenant, and he could not surrender to an enemy he despised so much. So, he decided not to message the rest of the fleet with a decision, leaving them to decide for themselves. However, there was one thing he could do before the Maug-Lai found him.

He switched the channel on his comlink so that only those aboard the battleship would hear him. "All personnel...this is the admiral speaking," he began. "You have all fought valiantly today, but...the battle is lost. Abandon ship immediately- I repeat, abandon ship immediately. To the engineering department- scuttle the ship. Disable the safety protocols and allow the reactor to blow."

After he finished speaking, a group of Maug-Lai warriors entered the area. One of them, who appeared to be a high-ranking warrior, asked Iso'ko who was leading the vessel, as he wanted to request their surrender.

Despite being in pain, Iso'ko had a sinister grin on his face. He turned on his universal translator so that the warrior could understand him. "The Federation will suffer...for what has happened here today. Prepare yourself for the coming storm..."

Right as he finished, alarms began to sound throughout the battleship. Near where the antimatter reactor was located, the engineering department had sealed themselves off from the Maug-Lai boarding parties and were now disabling the safety protocols that kept the antimatter reactor from overheating. Coolant began to draw away from the reactor, and the antimatter magnetic containment fields began to weaken, beginning the runaway reaction between the antimatter and matter inside the reactor. This was what signaled the alarms to go off inside the battleship. After they were finished, the engineers headed to the escape pods and abandoned the ship.

The Gala

<Well. What do we do now?>
<What does one do at something such as this>
<The others call it a gala. They invited us here for something called "fostering relationships">
<What's that[/i}>
<[i]The dictionary provided by our initial first contact says something about diplomacy
>
<We can do that>

At this point, The Forklis in attendance split up, each moving towards what appeared to be some form of group in order to talk and "form relations".

The Guards looked at each other for a moment before looking back at the Alliance Representative.

"Of course, right this way." Senator Farnon was led through the crowd of various alien and human representatives. The Guardsmen soon led her to the Frontier Councilor Mei Ming-Hua, a Federation Human of Chinese origin, talking to the Head Representatives of the Vorshkun and the Federation Lord of Intelligence.

"Madame Councilor, I present to you Senator Farnon of the Galactic Alliance." The three Federation Officials turned to greet the Alliance Representative.

"Greetings, Senator. We are honored that you could attend our gathering of Representatives."

"Do not mind me." Said the Lord of Intelligence.

"I was just talking to the Councilor about the Covenant's latest blunder. It seems that they've trespassed into Federation space, more specifically a Maug-Lai colony." The Vorshkun Representative spoke up.

"I'd pity the Cho'Dosan if they didn't stumble there in their own stupidity." The Lord of Intelligence chuckled.

"Well, it makes my organization's job easier. Let the Maug-Lai deal with the fleet, reroute a local patrol to secure the system, and secure the few Covenant POWs the Maug-Lai will take. Hopefully, after this, the Covenant are scared off from our space for a while."

"Yes, well at least it's made the High Warlord cancel his plans to be here. The Maug-Lai may be able to process alcohol better, but they get as rowdy as any other species." Mei said.

"So, how's the Galactic Alliance faring these days? While our ancestors may not be from the same world, I still care to know how my fellow Humans are doing."

”I already did, but you must have forgotten. I am Rys, Ambassadorial Delegate to Waystation Draugo. Thank you for complying. Diplomacy will be engaged in once we have arrived in the central command meeting room.” Rys smiled, stepping back, and beginning to lead the way. The security officers covered everyone in a defensive position.

“I take it that our station is acceptable to our standards.”

“Hello, Senator.” A frowning Watcher appeared behind the Krastikan senator, inhaling sharply. She was disappointed with them as usual, but believed she could handle the situation.

“Our head delegate is speaking to the Tagali at this moment, though I fear that may not go well with the news I have heard. You will be briefed on the matter afterwards. Senator, I will have to plead with you not to spit on anyone else. Zealotry is fine, but remember that you greatest zealots used their ferocity in other ways, such as when we forged the first treaty between our nation, and ended countless years of war that stood in the way of absolute peace in the Danger Lands. Think of those great heroes of your party, and remember that you can do the same thing once more. This is also a very nice place. I know that you don't like the idea of the party submitting, and remember tjat if you act better than these people, you will be better.

Come. You must be famished, and longing for a taste of home. We have brought hand prepared, non-replicated dishes from the Danger Landa, including from Krastikan. I made sure to see that your party had their favorite dishes prepared.” The reptilian showed respect, and was a Watcher known to have protected several members of this party from assassination attempts, but she was never one for tact. Still, the Krastikans usually responded to her best due to her particular style of ferocity, and zealotry in the line of duty.[/spoiler]

[i]My, my. What have we here? Are you telepaths of some sort? I do not believe I've ever seen an insectoid as advanced as you are. I sense confidence, apprehension, and confusion. Strange mixtures. Oh, and this will help you much more than that dictionary.” For some reason Delegate Opi’wa was able to read the hivemind’s communication, and interface with the group here easily, despite it being unlikely that the hivemind, and Ordeian telepathy shared any traits. Opi’wa raised her left hand, waving it, and infusing the minds with a fresh, unbiased view and the 'rules of diplomacy’, as well as information on every race that the Ordeians knew were here. They wouldn't be experts, but they wouldn't be completely lost, either. These insectoids were highly sophisticated creatures, even among mammalian races; they must have been perfecting themselves for generations.

[i]”I believe that we can act as translators between your species, and others if you need that kind of aid. Not many here can comprehend insectoid languages, and most don’t interact well with universal translators. If you would allow me a datapad, I could see to it that any kind of meal, and sustenance, and amenities required by your delegacy are supplied. Would you wish to engage in diplomatic affairs with me, perhaps?”

Colonel Kreul looked at the Tagali Homeguardsmen and bowed his head politely. "I'm sorry for the intrusion. I'll try to not make the same disturbance against in the Gala." As Colonel Kreul looked around at the representatives at the Gala a certain group of humans caught his eye. They were wearing some sort of green military uniforms and talking to other humans. They should be interesting to talk to, Colonel Kreul thought as he walked towards them.

When he approached them he saluted and spoke, "I am Party Security Colonel Kreul Mo'Sevigh of the Greater Krastikan Union. Your uniform does not look familiar to me nor does your nation. Tell me, which nation do you hail from?" He was eager to brag about the greatness of the GKU to this stranger. However the person that this human in military uniform was talking too had a familiar air to it.
