Species Name: Mau'elodi
Appearance: The Mau'elodi are a formidable race of flesh and muscle, standing tall at an average of 7' as their gilled, pigmented skin breathes. Their sub-humanoid appearance seems jarring, as their large, thick spherical shoulders and joints indicate their abundance of flesh and nerve underneath. Their skin is firm and moist, with no hair found anywhere signalling to their preferred climate underwater. Their hands and feet are webbed like flippers, useful for traversing the wide watery expanse of their home planet.
Their face reminisces a hybrid of myth and nightmare, as their exposed eyes glow a devilish red, their lip-less mouths teethed with viscous canines. The head that houses such a face is a sphere, seemingly missing a neck and common, human features like ears. Most races are surprised when they realize they can hear at all.
Biology/Anatomy: The Mau'elodi body seems to be a hybrid of both aquatic and mammalian design, with features such as internal ears and webbed hands/feet. It's clear that this iteration of the Mau'elodi is that of a mental-based design, removed from the survival-focused, pre-historic people that came before them, their only remaining natural weapon being their canine and incisor teeth.

History Of Your Nation: The United Federation of Races is an alliance of various codependent races. Spread impossibly thin over the far western fringes of the Milky Way, it holds its power over 5,000 systems. Its denizens include the Dwarves, a subspecies of humans that have adapted to the high gravity conditions of their chosen colonies, Turanir, a race of psionically resistant humanoids that have attained high technlogical advancement after a mere 7,000 years after attaining full sentience, the octopid Octors, the impossibly ancient Karkeos, a race of medically immortal dragon like creatures, and amkng many others.
The founders of the Federation were the Karkeos, in the year 2498. The Karkeos saw the other races squabbling over petty things, and they determined to stop that. By diplomacy and skillful words, the Karkeos managed to unite the myriad races that were scattered near their own birthplace. This was a tenous task that took hundreds of years to complete.
The first group to agree to the Karkeos's ideals of unity were the Turanir. The Turanir knew full well that if the Turanir didn't unite in the middle of a disastrous civil war(mostly because of the Vurazans's alleged mind control abilities), they would have might as well led themselves to a slow racial suicide. Together, the Karkeos and the Turanir began efforts to unite the other races as well. Second came in the Dwarves. The Dwarves, for one, had no real interest in conflict; they'd rather live out their lives mining gold rather than wage war in some distant land. It is unknown whether the Dwarves are full members of the UFR or are simply trading partners or techno allies. However, it is known that many Dwarven worlds have fully integrated into the Federation, and more are expected to do so as well in the following years.
After several successful attempts, the real challenge came in when the Federation attempted to speak sense into the Octors. These highly advanced deep sea creatures, however, were prideful at first;they thought it better that they be on their own. It took a massive attack from a swarm of xenomorphs and the subsequent assistance of UFR forces for the Octors to realize that being alone is not a very good idea.
Now, the Federation never ceases to find out races that it may integrate into itself;it believes that unity is the only option. The Karkeos leads the UFR from their halls of plasma and fire, and they shall do so till the very end.

However, if that species is violently hostile, the Federation might as well wipe them out from the face of the stars, for such races are a threat to racial unity.

Appearance: They have a human-like appearance, but with notable difference. They are much shorter in height, and their muscular and skeletal systems are much stronger and thicker. They usually brandish stylish beards.
Biology/Anatomy: Having decended from humans that adapted to the high gravity conditions of their mineral rich colony planets, they have deviated little from the original human form;of all the subspecies of humans they resemble normal humans the most. The notable differences is that they are much shorter in height(they never get taller than 4 feet), and have much thicker and more powerful bodies.
Natural Abilities: Dwarves are inherently masters of machinery and can fix broken machines with the greatest of ease.
Unnatural abilities: Robotic control - Certain Dwarves are capable of controlling robots using only their minds. They are called Machinarium Magisters.

Species Name: Turanir
Appearance: The Turanir are humanoid. Their skin is blue, and their skin exudes almost no moisture. Their faces are flat and lack noses. For a nose they have what looks like a Y-shaped breathing slit in where a nose would be. They have hoofed feet, and on average stand as tall as an average human, but are slightly physically weaker due to the weaker gravity of their homeworld.
Biology/Anatomy: Their bodies exude almost no moisture. In addition, there are three main types of Turanir, which stem from what conditions have their ancestors have adapted in. The Flame Turanir are taller and physically stronger than other Turanir, and are descended from those Turanir that stayed in the arid plains of their homeworld. The Earth Turanir are those who went to the river valleys to build cities, and are shorter and stockier than the others, but have superior technical intellects. The Air Turanir are those in the mountains, and are very tall and slender, and act as pilots and crew for ships and space stations, as ever since the Turanir have reached to the stars, the Air Turanir have spent entire generations in zero-gravity conditions, rendering them very vulnerable to injury when placed even momentarily in medium gravity.
Natural Abilities: Naturally resistant to psionic attacks. They are also very highly adaptive in a technological level.
Unnatural abilities: Another type of Turanir called the Vurazans are caoable of some kind ofmind control; all Turanir seem to have an iresistible compulsion to follow every order of a Vurazan. The Vurazans, for one, are responsible for the Turanir's intergration into the UFR.

Biology/Anatomy: The Octors are deep sea creatures, as of such, their bodies are very rugged and can resist very high pressure. Their blood is red, and they have a skeleton that is infused with crystalline-metallic components, which makes them very, very strong.

Appearance: Karkeos resemble the snake-like oriental dragons, though they lack whiskers, and do not have incredible powers over nature like them. Also, they glow an ominous blue color, and are usually seen with three starlike orbs orbiting them. It is believed that these orbs are actually the spirits of deceased Karkeos of ancient past.
Biology/Anatomy: It seems that a Karkeos is made from the cosmic energy that makes up supernovas and nebulas. They have no blood, instead, cosmic energy flows through a Karkeos's body.
Natural Abilities: All Karkeos possess high level psionics; a Karkeos can tear apart a ship by itself.
Unnatural abilities: Magic - Some of the Karkeos wield magical powers. These Karkeos are called Elementals, and they control one of four kinds of power; Storm, Earth, Water, and Fire.

If you look at the OOC, you cannot be a superpower and cannot be human. Other than that, the universe is the limit. It is technically limitless since the Universe is always expanding so take that as you will. There are other rules that I have not mentioned so take that into account.

Thanks for letting me know ^^
According to what you said... and based on the OP... I am limited by tech. So I either need to create a new civilization from scratch or ask OP if I can have slight exception to the rules.
I'll TG OP first before I give up ^^ FT is really rare, so I want to expand upon my already existing framework that I like rather than try to make entire lore from scratch.
