And in this case it isnt? So......whats the problem? A term doesnt have to be static to one person. HELL, thats how the word vampire became so vast in definition.
The thing is, most REAL celtic people from the past don't call bloodsuckers dearg dues.
1) Thats a fallacy
2) Well, yea. Lugh isnt a real person. He's based on a number of different Irish myth stories.
Trust me, I know.
Coming from the person that claimed that "dearg due" had nothing to do with vampires less than 2 hours ago.....I dont have the judgement whether or not thats actually true.
Lets review your past 2 hours of thought:
Issue 1) Dearg due is not associated to vampires
Answer 1) I prove that is with the exact definition with proof.
Issue 2) Dearg due is more of a vengeful ghost than a vampire
Answer 2) I give you the abridged tale of the Dearg due and how its associated with vampire folklore
Issue 3) The Dearg Due is a specific person
Answer 3) Dearg due is not a name, its a title which physically means somehting in Gaelic. Nowhere in the lore is this woman named Dearg Due.
