Dream Manipulation: Sylas can manipulate the dreams of others if he touches their sleeping form. It begins with him seeing the dream as if through a third-person lens. He cannot alter the dream into a completely different one, but he can change it in more subtle ways, such as adding characters, revealing information, and making the dreamer lucid. During his younger, darker days, he used it to give people nightmares. Now, he prefers not to use it at all, as it seems violating.
Elicitation of Truth: If he chooses, Sylas can look someone in the eye, and they will suddenly find it very difficult to lie. He's a little more liberal with this one, seeing as it doesn't outright infringe on personal freedom.
Empathic: He feels the emotions of people around him, usually all of the time, though he can tune into it more if he chooses. He can also project his emotions onto others, not making them feel that emotion outright, per se, but strongly radiating it. He uses it for good, now, having used it for evil in his youth.

Weaknesses: He's not the most physically able person, e.g. he would probably perform worse at tasks that required physical exertion than the average man of his age. This is because he prefers to focus his energy on his mind. He's still dealing with some self-hatred over his spate as a villain and can even be a bit myopic at times.

Bio:

Sylas Ansel Grey Sharpke was born in London to Aurelia Sharpke, a widow and librarian. His father's body was found in the Thames several weeks prior to Sylas' birth after having disappeared under mysterious circumstances nearly a month before. Aurelia tried to raise her son as best she could, and she was by no means poor, seeing as her husband left a fair amount of money, but she still found it quite difficult. Sylas remembers a mother whose smiles were incredibly rare and whose golden hair faded to grey much sooner than it should have.

The money his father left allowed Sylas to attend a respectable university and eventually earn a master's degree in psychology, a field chosen because his powers began to manifest during his earlier college years. He was worried that it was all just some sort of elaborate mental illness. The first manifestation was of his dream manipulation; he arrived at his mother's flat very late one night on a visit to find her writhing in the throes of a nightmare. Trying to shake her awake, he was startled to find himself seeing her dream like a film, a dream in which Aurelia found herself chased by dark figures, cornering her as she knelt by her husband's cold body. With a bizarre instinct, Sylas knew he could alter the dream, and made it so that the figures melted away and that Ansel Sharpke opened his eyes and was well. Sylas' mother awoke weeping, but with joy, not sorrow.

It was not until after his graduation from university that his relatively happy life took a turn for the worst. His mother abruptly cut off contact with him and moved from her flat without any explanation. 26-year-old Sylas contacted everyone from so-called psychics to private investigators, frantic and wondering if it did not have something to do with his father's similar disappearance. Eventually, a lead did come up, but by the time he managed to follow it to the end, it was too late. Aurelia Sharpke was found dead in much the same manner as her husband, cold and blue-lipped in the Thames. Her son, who had by now tested his abilities, went into a deep and potent rage.

As it turned out, Ansel Sharpke had some...debts to be paid, monetary and otherwise, within the London criminal underground. When he could not pay them back, he'd vanished. Such debts, though unpaid, were locked in the bottom drawer for some time before the collectors came knocking at Sharpke's widow's door.

Sylas knew he would be next. But he was by no means afraid.

It felt wonderful, the power. Wrecking the lives of each and every one of the men, women, and otherwise who had killed his parents. He crept into their nightmares, radiating terror into their psyches while they groveled before him. They never forgave, so why should he? And it wasn't just the first-degree culprits upon whom he wreaked vengeance...Their families suffered; their friends suffered...He even crossed paths with other Villains, worked with them or against them as he saw fit.

It wasn't until one Hero managed to fight back one night that Sylas ever felt any remorse for what he'd done. That Hero, too, had mental powers. Hallucination-projection, specifically. As Sylas went to strike the killing blow, his head was suddenly filled with every scream of agony that he had ever torn from innocent lips, and the cries were mingled with whispers from his mother's voice, begging him to stop.

And he did. But the damage was done. An entire decade and a half of damage, to be precise.

He took up chess and the piano as distractions whilst trying to evade the authorities and piece his life back together. Teaching seemed the best way to positively build upon the ashes of his former life, and it would be a good use of his psychology degree. All of his college friends had told him that he had a wry sense of humor, and he attempted to put it back into practice after fifteen years of sweeping it back in favor of the mad fever dreams that had taken over his mind and will.

Sylas now spends his days trying both to atone for his crimes and to stay true to his deeper, moral nature, and he hopes that he can convince other young heroes to do the same...or to dissuade them from making the same mistakes...

Personality: Sylas' most standout trait is his dry, witty sense of humor. He's a fairly quiet person, but every word he does speak is chosen carefully and cleverly.

Subjects Taught: Psychology, Mental Disciplines (Essentially a course for all students with psychic/mental powers, not specializing in any type; how to focus, conserve, tap, and channel mental energy regardless of specific power)

Additional Notes (fears and hobbies should be given): What he fears is that he will eventually be drawn back by the temptation of power that villainy has to offer, or that he will choose immorality over morality when the time comes. He also fears madness, as he views his mind as his greatest asset, and it was a kind of madness that gripped him, during those fifteen years...

His hobbies include chess and playing the piano. He's excellent at the former and not phenomenal at the latter, but decent enough to earn the respect of better musicians.

Personality: Julian is a very cocky person due to his radical and trick style in fighting and wrestling. He loves to show off and is generally the more flirty of the two bothers. He is the sense a guy who loves to party and drink a lot, but will go out of his way to help others (especially those damsels in distress). However, he has a sense of family and will help his brother anyway he can.

Bio: Born to a successful sports family, Julian had high expectations of himself. His father a mixed-martial artist world champion and his mother a former Olympic gold medalist figure skater; Julian had no talents in sports what-so-ever. However, it became apparent that after watching a few of his father's matches.....Julian could pull off the moves at a young age "at pure perfection to his father." His father took him to a French council of top sports scientist and psychologists which showed Julian's mutant power. With his father's consent, the scientists began running numerous tests on him which would take over a three year span of extensive training, chemical/serum dosages, etc. to test his powers. A by-product of the extensive serum testings were an acquisition of an advanced healing factor which make broken bones heal rather quickly outside of an accident or training. It became quite clear that Julian could be the perfect MMA fighter.

Throughout his early school years, he was tied to a sports rehabilitation facility in the heart of Grenoble to train him to peak perfection. It worked. He became an agile, strong, and comprehensive fighter beyond his father and beyond young boxers/wrestlers/martial artists. Science and genes had created Prometheus, what Julian's project was called after the Greek titan of myth. With years of being tied to a medical facility, he and his brother left to do some physical wrestling to test their skills. He along with his older brother went to form a team in Japan to wrestling and compete in MMA; becoming dominant on the international scene as the group called "Breaking Point".

This came to an end when the committees found them out being mutants and super humans, both brothers became barred from the fighting communities before being drafted into a global counter-terrorism group called the Sombre Initiative. Being known as "The Flyer", his acrobatic and high-flying prowess. When the new academy came rolling around, the Sombre group decided to send both brothers into investigate the property and the tendencies of the staff.

Accelerated aging, high intensive training, and re-education transformed this once happy European child into basically a machine of design.

Around his eighteenth birthday, he was given his freedom along with his younger brother who took him to do the thing they were both made for. They became a MMA and wrestling force overseas in Japan, becoming champions and dealing with rabid fans/ring rats. But tragedy struck when the committees found out about their powers and barred the brothers from competing. With no were else to go they were picked up by the Academy.

Personality: Davenport is portrayed as the typical "coolest guy in the room". He is a very self-confident and competitive individual who will use his feats to gain an upper hand. This can translate into being a total douche at times, but his persona helps solidifies him as a being of power. He likes to talk and flirt, but can be deadly serious at times of strife and trouble. Being somewhat charismatic outside of combat, makes him viewed as a leader in the field of combat. Davenport does change in the field of combat, sometimes becoming more machine-like and cold. He tends to try and be a one-man army, but will lead others from the front. His powers let him be analytical and calculating in battle, which tends to lead to more of a disconnect from humanity which means more genocidal and vicious tendencies.

Weaknesses: Her powers are only active when she sleeps, and any loud disturbances will disrupt her sleep. However, only she can wake herself out, but the more disturbances there are, she loses control over her dreamscape.

Personality: Spends most of her time sleeping, and thus, is always less excited and somewhat always miffed when in the real life. She doesn't make friends easily as attributed to her being terrible at social situations but isn't deficient in interaction. Can come off blunt. She will spend most of her time sleeping, but when she isn't, she's usually reading or doing an 'ing.

Bio: Originating from an alternate universe in which the human race was able to overcome the threat of aliens, Uok'Yan was considered to be one of the weakest aliens there was, until he gained his first ever mutation, the ability to gain strength as he killed other organisms. After discovering his human form to be a young human girl, he used that in order to turn upon his fellow alien students and teacher, murdering them all and gaining all of their strengths.

As time passed, he wiped out his entire universe. His bloodlust now sated, he transformed into his female form before entering a deep hibernation for what would be many yottaseconds, until leaving hibernation. The amount of time he spent in a female form transformed both his alien and human form into completely biologically female. She shapeshifted into a human form in order to travel to the Universe of Earth-Athena. She landed right in front of the League of Villains, basically triggering the powers of every single monster hunter and alien detector there was, and became instantly captured.

Instead of killing everybody, she let the humans have their fun.

Personality: Her personality is the same between each form, relatively uncaring and lazy, letting other people do her work for her.

Dream Manipulation: Sylas can Manipulate, Send, Elucidate, Interpret, and Twist dreams. It's a leftover power from his darker days, and he prefers not to use it, as it seems rather violating. But desperate times do call for desperate measures.
Elicitation of Truth: If he chooses, Sylas can look someone in the eye, and they will suddenly find it very difficult to lie. He's a little more liberal with this one, seeing as it doesn't outright infringe on personal freedom.
Empathic: He feels the emotions of people around him, usually all of the time, though he can tune into it more if he chooses. He can also project his emotions onto others, not making them feel that emotion outright, per se, but strongly radiating it. He uses it for good, now, having used it for evil in his youth.

Both seem acceptable for now. I find it funny that we now have a character who can only use powers in their sleep and a character who can manipulate dreams.

I would like to know some more details about this whole Dream Manipulation thing however, as i feel it could use a bit more fleshing out. Also by the way, if you don't know what to put for dimension, just put Earth.

Personality: Julian is a very cocky person due to his radical and trick style in fighting and wrestling. He loves to show off and is generally the more flirty of the two bothers. He is the sense a guy who loves to party and drink a lot, but will go out of his way to help others (especially those damsels in distress). However, he has a sense of family and will help his brother anyway he can.

Bio: Born to a successful sports family, Julian had high expectations of himself. His father a mixed-martial artist world champion and his mother a former Olympic gold medalist figure skater; Julian had no talents in sports what-so-ever. However, it became apparent that after watching a few of his father's matches.....Julian could pull off the moves at a young age "at pure perfection to his father." His father took him to a French council of top sports scientist and psychologists which showed Julian's mutant power. With his father's consent, the scientists began running numerous tests on him which would take over a three year span of extensive training, chemical/serum dosages, etc. to test his powers. A by-product of the extensive serum testings were an acquisition of an advanced healing factor which make broken bones heal rather quickly outside of an accident or training. It became quite clear that Julian could be the perfect MMA fighter.

Throughout his early school years, he was tied to a sports rehabilitation facility in the heart of Grenoble to train him to peak perfection. It worked. He became an agile, strong, and comprehensive fighter beyond his father and beyond young boxers/wrestlers/martial artists. Science and genes had created Prometheus, what Julian's project was called after the Greek titan of myth. With years of being tied to a medical facility, he and his brother left to do some physical wrestling to test their skills. He along with his older brother went to form a team in Japan to wrestling and compete in MMA; becoming dominant on the international scene as the group called "Breaking Point".

This came to an end when the committees found them out being mutants and super humans, both brothers became barred from the fighting communities before being drafted into a global counter-terrorism group called the Sombre Initiative. Being known as "The Flyer", his acrobatic and high-flying prowess. When the new academy came rolling around, the Sombre group decided to send both brothers into investigate the property and the tendencies of the staff.

Around his eighteenth birthday, he was given his freedom along with his younger brother who took him to do the thing they were both made for. They became a MMA and wrestling force overseas in Japan, becoming champions and dealing with rabid fans/ring rats. But tragedy struck when the committees found out about their powers and barred the brothers from competing. With no were else to go they were picked up by the Academy.

Personality: Davenport is portrayed as the typical "coolest guy in the room". He is a very self-confident and competitive individual who will use his feats to gain an upper hand. This can translate into being a total douche at times, but his persona helps solidifies him as a being of power. He likes to talk and flirt, but can be deadly serious at times of strife and trouble. Being somewhat charismatic outside of combat, makes him viewed as a leader in the field of combat. Davenport does change in the field of combat, sometimes becoming more machine-like and cold. He tends to try and be a one-man army, but will lead others from the front. His powers let him be analytical and calculating in battle, which tends to lead to more of a disconnect from humanity which means more genocidal and vicious tendencies.
