Vilseck was still in the stands watching the teams warm up and cringing at the little spat between Samara and Appleby, but he decided he could use some conversation even if there weren't any Democrats around. He recognized a Republican congressman that he was aiming to take down in 2018 but that was still more than a year away and that didn't mean that they couldn't be friendly. He scootched down a couple rows next to Morton. "Is this seat taken?"

Morton turned to see who was addressing him, then recognized who the voice belonged to: Vilseck. He decided that the party man’s company was much more welcome than Nobody.

After looking around as if to see who else was watching, he shook his head no and tried to open up a conversation on neutral ground.

“Seems like we’re in for quite a ball game today.”

"I've always appreciated it as a chance for camaraderie between our two parties, when I was in Congress and still today"

Flores hadn't been on the East Coast since she was stumping for her party's candidate in Virginia, and didn't even really have a good reason for coming today, mostly just that she was bored. That, and that she had put a major bet on the Republicans winning the game and thought she should watch to see if she could collect the payoff. Her usual black leather was way too hot for this kind of weather, but she wore it anyways and had luckily not quite gotten into a fight with security coming in. Not that she actually had anything illegal on her but she never interacted well with those types. She plopped down in a premium seat behind home plate and looked around to see if there were any vendors to grab a beer off of.
