The agent stops once they enter the section and Fowler can see them and then returns to their post. Two other agents are in the corners of the section but they recognize the Senator and do not step in.

“No thank you, I won’t be here long. I was hoping to speak about Senator Kramer to your husband and his placement on the Republican team. I understand he’s in Congress but not everyone in Congress is on the team. For some reason Kramer is on the team in the bullpen, considering his censure and association with Noble I do not find it at all appropriate he have such a visible position as a member of the party. Congresswoman Stevenson is insistent however of his inclusion. I would very much like him to be taken out of the dugout and seated with the rest of Congress.”

"He decided that he wanted to campaign instead of playing on the team. But honestly I think he wanted out anyways and didn't want to play with this team in the first place." She quieted her voice. "Even just a few days ago he was saying that he didn't think you should have a place on any athletic team at all...and he had more than a few things to say about me when he finally left."

Jared only noticed two Democrats on his way in with Darnell and Appleby, and chose to talk to Appleby for now, maybe Darnell later. He didn't know much about the Michigan rep, but the sex change bill was a good one, and he had been considering trying to establish a working relationship, which meant he wanted to get another loyalist. He walked around the edge of the field and came up on his side, going for a cheerful greeting. "Nice hitting. So, who else is here?"
