Buck then gives Kramer a clap on the shoulder that is uncomfortably hard and not appearing friendly as he walks around him and out of the tent and ignores the handshake.

As Buck leaves past Kramer he mutters to himself but loud enough for everyone around to hear "As he was ambitious...."

Buck raises an eyebrow and looks at the Special Agent after another Senator makes it into the tent.

Kramer looked at the Vice President for a moment before slightly blushing.

"My apologies, Mr. Vice President." Kramer said slightly dipping his head partially out of respect and embarrassment before leaving the tent quickly.

3 Secret Service Agents escort Kramer away from the tent and 50 feet away from the Vice President

McGareth finishes changing in the locker room where he is surprised that no one else has come yet. He goes out onto the field to start stretching and loosening up.

Carter knew that he needed to get away from the ongoing dispute, so he jogged over near McGareth and spoke to him.

“Nice to meet you sir. Carter Roberts,” he said, introducing himself briefly.

Buck goes over to Saga and kisses her on the forehead but his face is grim. "Go take the kids in and get your seats. I'll meet you there after I take care of something.

"Sam McGareth" McGareth says without much emotion.

"Welcome to the Senate."

Apparently Kristen should have barged in, because the VP apparently didn't see her waiting and now was ditching. She grumbled and ran over to pick up the equipment bag, then realized she had no chance of catching up lugging the thing. She waved to Fowler, who apparently still hadn't gone in and was standing on his own. "Hey Senator! Can you take that bag in to the field for me? There's gear there for you." He still hadn't answered if he had brought his own gear, so she was just assuming he hadn't at this point. She jogged in to catch up to Havich.

Noah J. Ashe arrived at the baseball stadium later than some. Upon arrival, parked his car in the parking lot and looked around at the entrance to the stadium, noticing numerous secret service agents. He approached the agent that appeared to be in charge of the group at the entrance, greeting them all warmly, "Good morning gentlemen, I'm here for the ballgame. Senator Noah Ashe," he pulled out his North Carolina driver's license, presenting it to the agent to show he's who he claims to be.

In his immediate preparations for his first competitive athletic event in quite some time, Amaras's process had included quite a bit more internal conflict than he had expected. The general equipment-solid ash bats, expertly crafted in the way that money tends to bring, an old oversized glove that he could just manage to fit his hand into-those were simple enough to carry along. What had him debating within his head was what manner of dress was to go with them, whether or not to take the opportunity to display again the excellence in skill he had shown in his past, regardless of how it had come to an end.

By the time he was done mulling over it, the decision seemed obvious to the point that he questioned why he had deliberated in the first place. It was the colors of the hometown team-or as close as he could come to one, that he decided to pick up, Cardinals red, as he had worn to the batting practice, a custom order, as one should expect. He would leave the pinstripes to Wilson's fanboying, and make his mark in colors that made a convenient distinction from the azure club he fully expected to see rolled over when bat came to ball.

He did not bother to show up overly early, seeing no need to waste the time, but did arrive already dressed rather than doing so in the locker room, perfectly content to display the bright colors on his way up to the stadium. His lumber rested on his shoulder as he approached, Huck getting to carry his glove, trailing along behind him with Linda Sue and his other sons.

The entrance seemed a fairly busy one, Wilson off by a tent, the "Captain" a ways farther in speaking to Fowler, what appeared to be the Vice President's wife, and presumably his children, just before security, and another Senator-Ashe, it looked like-there presently. He took a look around him, "Oh, no, not since high school - and even then it solely pick up games with the neighborhood kids, never on a real team. I've always been more fond of the endurance and athleticism of distance running. If we had a Congressional marathon, I'd be one of the first to sign up. How about you, played much baseball?"

Amaras chuckled. "Oh, I was quite the All-Star back in my day. No one could ever hit it as far as I could. I would have made a career of it, too, if it wasn't for some conspiring off the field, behind the scenes, a whole collusion gambit against me. But, I went out and made my fortune anyways, and none of them ever got that far, so I leave it in the past."

Regardless of his words, the Senator's tone carried a distinctive hint that he had not quite left the matter behind.

"You must have missed hearing about the run in Hawaii," he commented, furthering the conversation. "I was too busy to attend myself, but I heard it was a good time."

Taking a run doesn't feel the same as hitting a home run, or scoring a touchdown, or a scoring a goal, like my son here does." Ashe smiled, "Competitive sports are a pleasure to spectate but I've never found pleasure playing in them. Though I would personally argue that there's no sport truly more competitive than distance running." Ashe listened as the other Senator spoke of his son playing roller hockey, "I bet you're proud of him, he sounds like he'll be a star."

Buck looks down at Representative Stevenson following him but he does not stop walking at his swift pace.

"The problem that you brought to my attention has been taken care of Representative." Buck says sounding like he is not focusing on the conversation and a little aloof as he keeps walking.

"You can take care of your baseball team now. If you will excuse me I have business to attend to." He says dismissively and keeps going inside.

"We should warm up." He suggests.
